@ComicBookBoy1082 If they did that, Macs would lose their all their appeal. A great part of buying a Mac is to be somewhat exclusive. Not to mention, people who do use Macs to their artistic potential, so to say, usually aren't worried about the price.

Perhaps, but when you take an established premium brand and cheapen it for the purpose of mass availability - you merely end up with a less valuable brand and lose your customer base in the end. IE- Saab, Volvo.

Worked on some studies on this sort of thing, minimal numbers return after using Macs for 3 months.

Also, i don't believe Apple are assholes...the only reason you resent them is probably cause they didn't fix your computer after your guarantee was up, or you jizzed in the superdrive and they refused to return it.

They have brilliant customer support, friend of mine got upgraded to the newest iMac due to a faulty machine.

The most important aspect of a computer, at least for me, is that it should be FIXABLE.

If your mac breaks you run to the macstore, cry, and get a new one.

If your PC breaks you either just fiddle with the BIOS, or you open it up and change the problem component.

@NNBStudios Actually Apple created the first Personal Computer, they had the desktop environment and even a mouse. Windows then followed, the reason Apple went down towards the 90s was cause they let Jobs go, when he returned the company grew exponentially.

The only negative part that I found on Vista after using for 4 years was that it was RAM consuming.  Other than that, it never fail me. I moved to Windows 7 not because of the OS, but because it supports Direct X 11, which makes games more fucking awesome.

Actually, the Speedy Vista v4 release fixed a lot of Vista's problems, as it was Vista with all of the junk stripped out of it, which got the .iso down to about 650 MB, small enough for a CD-R. Not that retail Vista had any problems with home use, most of its real problems were with printers and other business machines. Anyway.
