  • very nive take ogg

  • jeez louise

  • The English Electric Lightning was doing accelerating verticals in the 1950s.

  • @transonicbuoy1 I stand corrected transonic. Thank you. How could I forget about the lightening!

  • no wonder why they called typhoon :D i love the sound of this jet

  • I heard one of these shits takeoff and they are fucking loud

  • Was that at RAF Leuchars ???

  • this thing is awesome people get confused when looking at it on a radar because when its just going vertical, its just a dot staying still. Thats skills!

  • Yeah because no other airplane has gone vertical before. Not.

  • its the only fighter that can go balistic from takeoff amazing plane

  • The F-15 Eagle was doing accelerating vertical climbs from takeoff 30+ years ago.

  • most fighter jets have been doing it since the 50's, its the time from standstill to vertical thats impressive not the act of going vertical.

  • The first production fighter to have a T/W ratio over 1:1 is the F-15, 1970's tech, not 50's. Still, there is nothing unique about the T/W ratio of the Typhoon.

  • i know, the f-15 is a great aircraft and held the climb rate record for many years.

the eurofighter is nothing out the ordinary on t/w ratio, its the way it builds speed on the runway quickly and puts into a climb thats impressive but its nothing new. im an aviation fan and not dissing aircraft. its like ppl say the f22 has 70000lb of thrust so its superior but its a heavy bird and loaded the t/w ratio is nothing spectacular, it needs 70k lbs of thrust. the f15 is my fave aircraft, always will be

  • 0-fucking hell in 10 seconds

  • Best fighter in the world!

  • Post rotation for the main undercarriage to leave ground must be min. 180 knots (335km/h) isn't it? That'll eat a Ferrari Enzo for breakfast! 0-350 km/h in 9.5 secs?

  • How many fighters can take off in that space and then climb vertically straight after rotation; very underestimated aircraft ...

  • very good take off , so fast !! :D

  • That looks like about 300m of runway needed for take off...wow...a true STOL aircraft...

  • Well a STO

Not sure about landing it though ;)

  • Wow!

  • i love Typhoons
