svlobo, great sounding pipes. That is the way I like it, loud, proud, and in my case with my 2005 Honda Rebel that I plan on trading in for a Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster Nightster soon, a bike that grabs attention and does not let go. The pipes that I have on my 2005 Honda Rebel right now are Jardine pipes, and they definately cause people to plug their ears or roll up their windows when I ride by. Do you get the same reaction with your pipes??
@6nbay I think it still sounds like a harley even with the higher idle caused by lethal injection. That makes me wonder; is harley being modernized or euthanized?
It is fuel injected. The Harley site indicated that modifying the FI is not required for the addition of the pipes alone. Adding the intake kit does require updating the mapping. I've installed a Terry Components TV-3 closed loop system and updated the software. Overall performance for the Sportie is very good compared to stock.
Screamin' Eagle® Street Performance Slip-On Mufflers - Sportster® Shorty Dual. Part number 80503-07. Make sure to get the replacement clamps with gaskets. These are easy to install.
How can you spend all that money on that nice chrome and pipes but still have that origional seat on there. That was the first thing I replaced on mine. It's awful if your riding for more than 15 minutes.
i have a 08 sportster. Is there a certain model for the pipes or are they generic? i am interested in puttin some on my bike. Where did you get them? How much?
Check out Harley-Davidson web site, they have a pretty easy tool for finding accessories that will fit your year and model. They will list the part number and you can go to your local dealer or ChicagoHarley for good online prices. These pipes are part number 80503-07. $240 at ChicagoHarley.
for some reasone every other sporty ive seen on here made ma not want a sportster cause of how short they were, yours for some reasone doesnt look too short with the two up seat,it looks and sounds great

Interesting feedback. I'll have to post another video now that the software has been updated and I've installed the Terry Components TV-3.

He has a bigger fuel-tank than original

Fuel tank is stock size for the custom. Some of the other Sporties have peanut tanks that are smaller.
