I understand. But if Yoron is a part of Amami, why are these girls playing Okinawa style Sanshin with Okinawa bachi instead of Amami style sanshin (yellow strings, and bamboo pick)?

I found this video quite scary... it reminded me of the scene in the Kung Fu Hussle with the two 'blue brothers' ... lol I love Okinawan music and culture, the world could learn so much from their approach to life, happiness and living. Get the US bases off the island and let them keep their traditions.

It really moved me! I know well what it means... There's nothing better than to see the happiness of an elder person listening to the sound of sanshin... It is priceless to play sanshin for an elder. Their happiness is truly genuine and pure.

Sanshin, for us Okinawan descendents, touches our spirit. This video encouraged me to keep on doing my best to improve my sanshin skills.
