Yes they do happen. When someone shoots you until you have like no shields, then someone betrays you, it counts as the guys kill. What happened here is that the red guy shot a rocket at the blue guy, the other 2 blue guys were close enough to hit the blast radius, so when 1 of them shot the rocket he accidentally shot his teammate, thus a betrayal and a suicide resulting in a triple kill for the lucky kid. He isn't jealous he's just stating the fact and it's true.

Explosions throw rockets off of their original path. The best thing I can figure, is that the guy you were shooting at shot a second rocket EXACTLY when yours blew up on him. The explosion from your rocket blew his rocket off its path... and into his team mates. If you look at where the end of his rocket launcher is in comparison with the explosion you'll see that it was lined up right to do this.
