  • Haha x)

  • Sounds abit like Karl Pilkington

  • I prefer an eye for a leg philosophy

  • So the moral of the story is always to strike first.

  • @johniswaycool Yes - I think that's one way of looking at things. Yours is one of my favourite comments. Good work.

  • @JohnnyThreePants I think I'd be more than "annoyed" if someone ripped my eyes out.

  • @KrfNYC2 Blind fury? Oh dear, I'll get my coat.

  • @JohnnyThreePants What? Coat? Why?

  • gandhi dont understand the "an eye for an eye" thing

    gandhi is a pussy

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • nice

  • 3 years later and I still love this :')

I can imagine it didn't work well as stand up, but the silent gaps and tone of voice makes it ruddy brilliant as a video.

    "Nobody likes a smart arse."

  • smart

  • I found your comment only slightly annoying so I guess we're still not even. Sorry about that.

  • stupid

  • This is a wonderful way to remember a great man....NOT. Taking the "eye for an eye" moral literally in order to make fun of it is really only something a true ignoramous would do. I'll pray for you to receive some taste in your "comedy" acts.

  • The word 'ignoramous' is a word only used by people that take things truly too seriously.

  • BLOODY LIVID

  • Holy shit. The first forty seconds were hilarious.

  • they would both be blind,

as the second mand would take the first mans second eye after the first man took the second man's second eye

  • But the second man would be already blind and therefore unable to extract the first man's eye.

  • But by the rule of ''an eye for an eye", he would be permitted to take that eye and would...with a lot of stumbling around.

  • I think this phrase has been very overused. I really do understand the idea behind it but does anyone know Gandhi's position on punishment? Was he opposed to punishment of say, criminals.... or just opposed to all killing? People allways become iconic when they are martyrised- Gandhi had his faults. Good video- very original.

  • he was completely entirely opposed to violence...he believed in locking someone up as long as they were locked up for something that was a just law...ganhi served a lot of jail time being punished for breaking a law that he thought was unjust...but as he said there are unjust laws just as there are unjust people so rest assured that he was entirely against violence but not against punishment (as long as the punishment wasn't violent)

  • bill1240- Thankyou; that clarifies things a bit.

  • Bravo!

  • Sorry to burst your argument but it's possible they strike each other at the same time and not one by one.

And if the world went blind at least there'd be no discrimination.

That last statement is my own and I don't know if it has caught on.

To be the most politically correct I'll simply point to the amendment of the punishment fitting the crime. That's what Gandhi really meant.

  • If they both went in at the same time they'd remove each other's eyes simultaniously, yes. However it's supposed to be point for point retribution so a simultanious attack is ruled out.

  • gandhi didn't mean if the punishment fit the crime...he felt as though that if someone persecutes u should not retaliate whatsoever with violence...u r better off dead than reduced to violence...gandhi believed in protecting people sure...but he was saying that if all we want to do is get even with each other no one comes out on top

  • johnnythreepants your my hero hello

  • johnnytheepants are you nick margerison

  • he is.... nuh

  • Hello, yes I am.

    NM

  • Insightful and very funny indeed. Cheers...

  • lmfao nice

  • 100% true

  • This is dumb. Blind people can blind others.

  • Do you really think a blind man would be able to pull out the eye of a man who can see? Don't you think the one who could see would have a major advantage there? I have to admit that's pretty "advanced thinking", 'belovedmakesmusic'.

  • its just not impossible. the advantage is irrelevant.

  • Like I said, belovedmakesmusic, you're using some very 'special' thinking here. I think the disadvantage of being blind is very relevant. Thanks for your interesting take on things though.

  • That's well good! I liked this one better than the other. "Perhaps Ghandi should have said..." lol XD

  • I agree.

    NM

  • Thanks man. It's intended to be respectful. Gandhi is one of the few historical figures worth respecting.

    NM

  • as creative as Gandhi himself.. i think Gandhi would have enjoyed that :)

  • Thanks to everyone who has said nice things about this video. I've added it as a sketch for this "sketchies" contest that's being advertised on The YouTube at the moment. Wish me luck.

  • haha, and i would be the one person with the one eye. :-P pretty funny.

  • Thankyou. If you click on my profile (Johhnythreepants) you'll find some of my other videos. Putting one up of my recent stand up gig later this week.

    NM

  • Interesting conclusion. Thank you . will come up with some more videos? I enjoyed that.

  • Thankyou.
