I remember whern I saw this scene when it was originally shown on t.v.

Maybe it's the new yorker in me but the idea that you could go thousands of miles away in a forest where even the local don't fo to and meet someone who lived within walking distance to where you both lived in New York City is both comical but also true.

Because people in New York can be impersonal you can live a block away and never meet and have a better chance on meeting thousands of miles away from New York.
