I booked JAMES BROWN into THE DIOCEAN ARENA in Steubenville,Ohio in the mid 60's. The crowd was reluctant to come in until they knew James was there as Ray Charles had done a NO SHOW the year before (it was the night after he was busted for drugs in Indianapolis) When James did get there the crowd poured in. We still weren't making expenses. He told me "DON'T BOOK ME IN LITTLE TOWNS LIKE THIS" he also told his road manager to knock off $2000 of the balance due. I will never forget that.

I had the opportunity to see both JB and MJ perform live. I would describe JB as electrifying on stage and Michael exciting. When JB performed there was nothing choreographed by a choreographer as with MJ but just pure raw dancing motivated by good funky music. Best performer ever in terms of pure raw funk and dance hands down Mr. Dynamite himself JAMES BROWN.
It looked like JB act wasn't choreographed, but not shame it was to some extent. He was just some awesome it looked liked it just flowed from him. Kind of like a great actor looks like their just talking. But I tend to agree with. But JB never went out on stage without a plan. All the way down to his cape covering bit.

I had the opportunity to see both JB and MJ perform live. I would describe JB as electrifying on stage and Michael exciting. When JB performed there was nothing choreographed by a choreographer as with MJ but just pure raw dancing motivated by good funky music. Best performer ever in terms of pure raw funk and dance hands down Mr. Dynamite himself JAMES BROWN.

It looked like JB act wasn't choreographed, but not shame it was to some extent. He was just some awesome it looked liked it just flowed from him. Kind of like a great actor looks like their just talking. But I tend to agree with. But JB never went out on stage without a plan. All the way down to his cape covering bit.
