  • Lol you can now find most of these clothes at thrift shops or hipster clothing stores.

  • Wow! What a time capsule! A small snippet of how it looked and sounded in the mid 80s! Did we look like that back then? OMG!

  • omg, I loved watching this! Love the 80's and Duran Duran!

  • I didn't know people danced to this music, I just listen to it in my car or while cleaning or working on something...interesting.

  • i bought everything duran back in the day, its only now whne im older that i finally realised, that they where really crap with really bad songs (LOL)

geez, no wonder they say " young and Dumb " My Mpther was right all along, simon wines and winges through every track and the music is just awkeard and bad.. oh well they got all my pocket money in the 80s

  • @doordangle I was a bit younger than you in the eighties, so I was just watching Duran Duran as a kid when I was in elementary school. I enjoyed MTV, and Simon is one of the best on there actually. Their new album is really good All You Need Is Now. Are you up on any of their new material?

  • that presenter has a crush in the hot boy in the red pants, look at his interatiction and body language.. Hopefully the boy in red has better taste than some one as shallow as that

  • OMGosh! I remember watching this show when it originally came on from Philly"Dancin on Air". I believe this was DD's first American TV show they did before they blew up.

  • Where was this? I can only say it doesn't look like anywhere around SoCal. Those were some really preppie Duranies. They looked more like the way people dressed here in 1982. Wherever that was, it looked about a year behind, fashionwise, with a few exceptions in the crowd. I am so glad I never went with the permed hair or tall bangs. I wasn't the pearl type or the dayglow wearing type either. I liked my suede Duranie boots and my black rubber bracelets, which I still have!

  • @MissNovemberTuesday I beleive this is in Philly. I used to watch this show. Originally it was called "Dancin on Air" Then it went national and they renamed "Dance Party USA" or something like it! lol

  • @MissNovemberTuesday It was philadelphia, Pa. Danding on Air which later became Dance Party USA

  • lol the "gangters" gettin down on the hood

  • Has there ever been a point in human history that white guys could dance?

Will there come a point when they will stop trying?

  • @dodge851Maybe not as many white guys can dance as black but white people prefer working instead of dancing. That's what they live by

  • @dodge851 can name 2 fred astaire and ginger rogers - will there ever be a point where you will stop distiguishing between black / white etc, so you can evolve? hmm, unlikely

  • You can't dance to Union of the Snake!

  • oh snap....the 80's....yeah....

  • lmao

  • Wow this is classic! Yeah the man in the red pants pretty much owns this dance floor lol. Thank you for uploading :)

  • lmfaoo to the dude with the red pants

  • i was 14 at that time but thank god i never did my hair like those girls i just let it grow now it makes me lol oh but i sure loved Duran Duran and i still do no matter how old it get

  • loool

  • this was cute. lol :)

  • Area Code 215 Represent!!!!?!?!!

  • How depressing--I was -3 months when this aired :-( I really wish I was a teenager then.

what a random idea for a show this...let's play a band's music without them performing and dance to it lol. I'm sure people found it soooo entertaining :-)~

  • LOL try not even existing!

  • whats with the dude at 5:15. this is soo hilarious. reminds me of highschool

  • lol people dress totally wrong at 80s parties

  • those hairdoos heheheheheh!

  • That was the most hilarious thing I've ever seen! OMG... how embarassing, and the worst part is that I'm sure I would have been right in the middle of it all. I loved Duran Duran and dancing! LMAO!!!

  • @TigergirlM This is cracking me up. I also loved Duran Duran back in the early 80's (and still love the music). This just seems so cheesy to watch now though, and it's just creasing me here. I love it LMFAO

  • Pause at 2:13, Gloria Estefan look alike.

  • what I love is watching some of the old sitcoms for the clothing styles that were more average/everyday.

  • Where are these people now? Hahaha!

  • damn, they gettin down:)

  • Hahaha! That guy with the red pants at 2:39 is a riot! Thanks for posting this. Total awesomeness!

  • HOLY CRAP !!! good times , good times
