@hastheskills456 Well Trivium has solos which I'm not even close to being able to do, as do the other bands I listed. The solo and the all the riffs except one in this song are extremely easy. This song really doesn't compare to a lot of songs from those bands. It's a very good song and fun to play but it really isn't that hard when you look at more technical music.

Thanks dude! I had to experiment A LOT to get this tone so it might also take you some time to figure out your perfect tone. There's only one amp model I use to get a good distortion which is the Line 6 Insane Model. If you experiment with that model you should be able to get a good KSE-like tone.

I'm sure I could but it would take a lot of practice. I mostly stick to metal/hardcore but I really would like to learn how to shred. I used to play lots of Trivium so I have some experience with shredding but it's not great. I know how to sweep pick and alternate pick but I can't play most of that stuff really fast. I wouldn't know how to go about learning shredding techniques though. Do you know anywhere that I can start learning how to?

ummm paul gilbert has sum really good lessons to begin and of course for advanced ppl.. but one of the biggest things to do is TAKE IT SLOW alot of ppl think that just because they can play it up to speed it sounds good =P learn every thing clean AND PROPERLY and just work ur way up to speed and u will save alot of time in the future having to relean it slow again to get the cleaness but check out sum paul gilbert lessons on youtube they helped me alot!
