  • Genius...Spike's almost doing the Eccles voice. Shut up Eccles!

  • This is British comedy at its best, only Spike would have thought of a piano with just one key on it.

  • Omg It's Mr. Gumby!

  • Which one has the piano underneath it? LMAO!!!

  • This is strangely funny!! There's nothing like the British sense of humour, I don't think I could live anywhere else.

  • Spike, you old bastard...Come back down here and make us laugh. We need you!. It's all gone to ratshit!

  • Spike Milligan MAXIMUM STRENGTH !!

  • Spike's face at 1:05!

  • spike was on a completely different planet to us plan mortals. wish he had been on of my family !

  • Brilliant! Just what I need after a bad day at work. The man was Comedy itself.Still miss him.

But he told them he was ill!

  • Good old Spike. He did for comedy what Chuck Berry did for rock n'roll.

  • I love it when he gets rewarded with a sweet for getting something right

  • I just love the way Spike is trying not to laugh when smashing that record at the start, don't know how they filmed this without crying!

  • lol geniuse man spike !

  • Spike is fantastic! I still remember hearing the announcement of his death on radio 2. I was at work in the company van drinking a cup of tea. I remember removing my hat and commenting to my work mate that a great man and comic genius had just left us. The world has been a poorer place since he left. His lunatic comedy helped remind us how loony life is and not to take it all so damn seriously all the time. As he said "I told you I was ill!"

  • Great Hughie Green by John Bluthal!

  • hahaha!! genious. SPIKE was mad as rats!

  • Superb

  • One of my favourite Spike sketches!

  • "My Father had a profound influence on me, he was a lunatic."

    Quote by Spike Milligan.

  • @Anlolar

"Time for another Advance said my father and took one pace forward"

  • Still funny after all these years!

  • Fuckin great my sides are hurting

  • ? its funny but makes no sense i suppose that why its funny but i dont know :P

  • Yeh spike milligans stuff dosent make a lot of sence really. I think thats why its funny its just lunacy he predated monty python with his stuff but he was just ahead of his time i think.

  • You will notice that Spike ridicules all the establishment brain conditioning organizations, particularly the militaristic ones like the scouts. He believes all of us are unique and need to express ourselves as individuals and we shouldnt be coerced into sameness. All establishment organizations are run in a militaristic fashion (education, politics, law, industry and even leisure!etc)...a major flaw in the system, which he sought to expose constantly!

  • When WILL the "Q" series be released on DVD ????

  • Well some sketches have sadly been wuped from the archives, but some can be seen on the Best of Spike Milligan DVD.

  • Milligan's INANE expression at 01:03 is hilarious!

  • I read Spike's book the foreword started:

He was lying on the grass, he looked down at his legs and said to the author "bleeding skinny legs mate".

The author replied " Dont worry mate they will grow with the plot"

  • Spike was "the" Man he could make a joke out of just about any situation. When he was on Parkinson and he was describing when his mate had Dysentry and he ended up shitting shitty water into a plastic bag in a A.S.D.A.Store whilst he had just locked himself out of the Gents Lavatory was just fucking gut wrenchingly funny.R.I.P. Spike you gave all of

us a laugh and your stand against Whale Hunting was another stroke of your good nature

    cheers Man.

  • lol...

  • Priceless comedy :)

  • Sorry I'll type that again.

rkg77 - that and so much more were stolen from Spike Milligan by the sad, derivative Pythons.

  • Well actually, the Pythons have freely admitted that they were great admireres of Milligan. But you're right, to a point -- anyone who thinks the Pythons were original is sadly misinformed.

  • @ploughcat16 oh come on, python may have been hugely influence by milligan, but they were still hugely original

  • @ploughcat16 Madly misinformed. badly misinformed, gladly misinformed, Bradly misinformed!

  • rko77 - that and a lot of stuff were stolen from Spike Milligan by the dericative Pythons.

  • this has nothing to do with scouts being idiots.

it's just spike's unique humour, which has to be taken lightly.que es el significado de pinches en ingles?

  • Was this before or after Mr. D.P. Gumby ("My brain hurts!" -Monty Python?) Sounds exactly like him-- just wondered who started this bit.

  • Spark started his Goon show during the war. After he was retierd from active service after being blown up!!!!

He was the isperation for John Clease and Mical Payling to creat Momty Phython.

I highly recromend you read spikes biografy. It is about 6 book long!!!

  • if you google 'q6 milligan', you will find the Qseries tribute site with lots of scripts and pics and vids from Spike Milligan's finest TV hour. And a DVD petition to sign!

  • Many, many thanks for this.

  • Which coconut is this piano under? Ha!

  • The King!

  • Great clip. That's a young Chris Langham from the Thick of It as one of the scouts.

  • From playing a scout to playing with them. Hes a paedo

  • Hey man:

    shut the fuck up, yeah?

  • Very funny,sadly true.
