The man in this video automatically was calling it rabid & I fail to see where in the video that any testing occurred at that time. So, the whole story wasn't presented. OMFG! If you had any sense at all you would know that animal wasn't rabid! If anything it was a captive bred skunk being it didn't try to spray the dog or you! All you managed to do was break the poor creatures leg... I have pet skunks and they are just as good as your dog! Hopefully no one thinks your dog is rabid and kicks it. Wild skunks are highly beneficial animals....they eat a staggering number of rodents, reptiles and insects that are harmful to our plants and crops....hence their old nickname, The Farmer's Friend. Domestic skunks are fantastic pets and both are FAR more intelligent and considerate than many of the idiotic posts here. That poor skunk, i wish it had bit you... I breed domestic skunks, and also rehab wild ones, and I can tell you, that skunk was playing, and just a baby. If it was rabid, it would have been really biting the dog, stomping and making some kind of noise. You would have been able to tell. Our skunks play with our dog all the time, and the dog does the exact same thing as your dog, they even play with us that way, stomping, putting the tail up, chasing us, acting like theyre gonna spray, but dont.
