if any one votes for obama, gas will be 5 bucks a gallon, electic will be up 70%, taxes will be raised and jobs will be lost. and a bunch of new taxes will be placed on the backs of the american worker. why the hex would anyone want that. dont fall of the obama trick - he is such a lier. vote maccain
...and if they vote for mccain, gas will magically fall back to $1.00 /gallon, electric bills will magically disappear, and every american will pay $0.10 for fed taxes...
"gas will be 5 bucks a gallon" -- Yeah, that sure happened... It was under Republican ideology that created this economic downtown of lost jobs (due to outsourcing - aka neoliberalism)... Thank GOD Americans made the right decision.
hmm funny you say so, obama is going to raise gas prices by impulmenting a heavy tax on it.
gas will be 5 bucks a gallon with all the inflation he will make from printing up 3 trillion dollars. it will cost you 20 bucks to eat at McDonald's
american's are all under the effects of the placebo effect. wake up you narrow minded liberal. the long term effects of obama will spell disaster on us. and you will end up paying for.
Oh, I definitely don't believe that Obama will "save" everyone. There would have been an economic disaster with or without him. He's no angel, but he's definitely a better candidate than any Republican though, because those neoliberal policies which drive economic forces are more prevalent under conservative-type governments. I'm not narrow-minded; I respect your views (although I don't agree) and I understand them. I just believe that Obama was the better candidate for your country.
It's give and take with the relationship between the U.S. and Canada. Canada has a stronger backbone than you think. Our economies are very much intertwined (ie/ auto industry here is suffering). When you're American, you believe that no other country can survive without America's help -- it's an embedded pride mentality in your country. I think that now, maybe, you're be the narrow-minded one? No offence; you seem intelligent and all, so just enlighten me if you have an example.
if america has an economic collapse canada is not going to suffer? you canadains are too efficient to understand how america works, mainly because america wastes more money than any other country. simple fact is that canada is much more of a efficient country than america, and america will never get out of this. i would be surprised if canada could survive just fine with out america. we have horribly wasteful government, you dont. but who is going to buy all of your "stuff" if america is broken?
They're neighbouring countries, and 70% of Canadians live within 100 km of the U.S. border. I live right across from Detroit, Michigan. "I can see Detroit from my house!" (not Russia, hehe). The U.S. controls a lot in the world, and I find American politics a lot more interesting than Canadian. The economies are intertwined; I just see it as important to know about what's going on in the world -- especially with your neighbours! (or "neighbors", as you Americans would spell it)
dobrze powiedziane obama napędzany jest przez młodych i kolorowych ja osobiście zagłosował bym na McCainem sądze ze na czele mocarstwa powinna stać osoba doświadczona a nie pop star . Obama przypomina mi trochę Kennedy'ego porywa tłumy i tyle .
Unbelievable. John Mccain/Palin are conducting a completely dishonest and dishonerable campaign. John Mccain said in the primary debates he thought interest rates should be cut to zero. Does he know anything about inflation? Or anything about the economy? The lobbyists that will direct him and puppeteer him will run the country into the ground. At least Senator Obama has the nation's interests in mind and will be honest to the American people for the first time in 8 years.
"Joe Biden is the right partner for Barack Obama. His many years of distinguished service to America, his seasoned judgment and his vast experience in foreign policy and national security will match up well with the unique challenges of the 21st Century. An Obama-Biden ticket is a very impressive and strong team. Biden's selection is good news for Obama and America."
Why is John Edward's political career over? Senile Senator McBush cheated on his first wife, to bang an heiress. And then, turned around and cheated on Cindy McCain. McCain...a real bag of sh1t. He broke down like a little girl, and made 32 anti-American propaganda videos for the communists, not just one or two. Stole during the savings and loan scandal.
So what? McCain and his cronies jerk off a lot in the A.V. room to make videos like this while Obama says what he is going to do about the actual issues facing our country -- responsible, phased withdrawal of troops in Iraq, a $1,000 tax break for all families making less than $250,000 a year, and a plan to develop alternate energy (instead of McCain's 'Drill! Drill! Drill!" battle cry. Is this how McCain will spend our time (and money) in the White House (by miracle of election)?
Much of McSame's speech today about the war between Georgia and Russia was directly plagerized from Wikipedia. Many of the lines were exactly the same as if some middle school kid has plagerized the speech directly from Wikipedia. The editor of Wikipedia noticed many of the lines seemed just like their article on Georgia. LOL
McSame's Georgia policy = Wikipolicies. Google it and you can find the exact lines that were plagerized. McSame is a JOKE
Scary thinking about the inexpereinced Obama leading this country. His questionable religious affiliations, political ones aside--what expereinces will he draw from in making decisions????
skleeve... Before you go labeling others as morons perhaps you should familiarize yourself with "your" and "you're" and the proper usage of each. You're (as in 'you are') a moron sir.
John McCain isn't in touch with the average person as much as Obama is, he's like the Bob Dole of thsi election cycle...Obama actually has the same political experience as JFK did in 1960, so he does have enough experience to be President, even if Grandpa McCain has more...and btw when was America better off after electing a President of the same party more than TWO election in a row??? other than FDR ?
Comparing Obama to JFK is like comparing Lindsey Lohan to Maryln Monroe. JFK led PT-109 in combat during WWII and out of Japanese-controlled territory when his boat was sunk. Obama has ever done anything like that nor has he ever lead anyone anywhere. He is merely a man with rhetoric--whose eventual claim to fame will be the enormous tax burden he will leave the Amercian public.
How important a factor is military service in electing a President though? Bob Dole 1996: lost. George Bush sr. 1992: lost to Bill Clinton. Al Gore 2000: lost to Bush, same with John Kerry in 2004. And the "tax burden" would be mainly for the wealthy, which the can take in order to make life for the average person better, sorry if I don't shed a tear for the wealthy being 'over-taxed'
The man has never LED ANYTHING. On top off that, he is hypocritical. For example, he recently stated in an add that McCain had more contributions from big oil. Actually, ExxonMobil contributed more to Obama than McCain. As Obama once said, "Never let the facts hold you back from the truh that you believe." I love it.
Dude...do you have ANY IDEA of the RECORD DEBT LEVEL that dumbya, McSame and the GOP lead Congress has run up in YOUR name in the past 7 years? Do you realize that President Clinton left dumbya a RECORD $690 BILLION dollar SURPLUS in Jan 2001 which dumbya (with the help of McSame) promptly turned into a RECORD DEBT LEVEL? Our National debt is now $9 TRILLION dollars! Your grandchildren will be paying this off! Dems always leave a surplus...repubs always leave a mountain of debt. FACT. WAKE UP!
Reagan/Bush spent record amounts that evenutally bankrupted the Soviet Union-resulting in the end of the Cold War. Slick Willy Clinton created NAFTA and had suspicious financing similar to the ARM mortgages that created some of the housing issues today. The economy looked good until AFTER he left office. Slick Willy knew how to look good while screwing the country (and a few others). Yes, we have paid a premium for an unjust war. The Russians could be attacking more than Georgia today.
The Soviet Union was collapsing anyway, outspending it at the expense of the US taxpayer did nothing to hasten it's demise. Ask ANYONE who specializes in Soviet studies. You can say what you want about President Clinton but the FACT remains...he left dumbya with a RECORD surplus of over $690 BILLION. Blaming Clinton for the housing mess of today is a COP OUT. Fast and greedy lending by bankers in the past 8 years caused this mess.
Our country's greatest economic growth rate was during 92-2000.
If you truly knew Soviet studies, which I have have, you would know that Gorbechev said that the single biggest contributor to the weakening of the Soviet Union was their spending as a % of GDP to matain or exceed parity with the US military machine> Yes--they were weak and Reagan/Bush finishd it off. Slick Willy had the morals of an ally cat and never spent of the military and retreated from ev ery engagement except minor support in Bosnia.
I could not possibly care less about Clinton's morals. As far as job performance is concerned, he was an EXCELLENT President. He presided over the greatest economic growth period this country ever recorded AND left dumbya with a RECORD $690 BILLION dollar surplus. Americans were happy and prosperous and we had peace via diplomacy instead of war, death and destruction under dumbya's LACK of diplomacy. Clinton, even today, enjoys one of the highest approval ratings of any President. dumbya? 22%!
George Bush i bad and so was Clinton. He was way over rated as a President. He stood by idely while the massacre in Rwanda was ocurring despite knoweldge of it. He led one fast retreat out of Somalia when we had the Blackhawk incident. He stood by with knowledge of the massacres in Bosnia and only acted after the UN pushed us to. Clinton was a man of in action with a slippery chartacter. If he was so great, why did he come so CLOSE to being impeached?
Dude...WHERE did you learn to speak English and what freaking planet are you on?
President Clinton WAS impeached. The GOP led Congress was so IRATE at Clintons popularity, they trumped up BULLSHIT charges in the Monica Lewinsky affair and successfully impeached him. Impeachment doesn't mean you're removed from office. Look it up.
Rwanda occurred under dumbya's watch Cletus!
Clinton STILL, even as an ex President, enjoys the highest popularity rating of any President.
I think you should all vote for obama. I think you should all vote for obama. I think you should all vote for obama. I think you should all vote for obama. I think you should all vote for obama. I think you should all vote for obama.
I think you should all vote for obama. I think you should all vote for obama. I think you should all vote for obama. I think you should all vote for obama.
i wanted hilary to win but since shes gone i want obama. just as long as its not mccain. we don't need half of america forclosing. all mccain wants is oil and war! i feel like im the only one here conserned about the envirement. Obama 08!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, Hussein voted for Dick Cheney's oil friendly energy bill, that included billions in subsidies for oil and gas production.McCain opposed the bill on grounds it included billions in unecessary tax breaks for the oil industry. Who do you think are backing Fraudbama?
McCain is a douchbag. America cannot handle another 4 years of Republican policies bankrupting the nation, abusing the troops, and shredding the Constitution.
McCain is the worst liar ever. Shame on old Mccain!!! He was the backbenchers in the school. Definitely a boneheaded warmonger pig. Obama never said he would tax the electricity. Liiar mcCain, time to go to S*|tH0|*...
Man, the obamatrons are starting to panic, knowing that their beloved puppeteer is going downhill from now on.Everybody but them know what a piece of shit fiction that arrogant, inexperienced asshole is. Well, too bad,it will be even sweeter when the results start coming on election day!Keep your kool-aid and bongs close, you will all need a pretty long trip to face reality....
Huh, it's the Obama camp that is starting to panic? That's all this is hysterical series of attacks is. The panic in the McCain camp is almost palpable. I sense the panic in your hyberbolic e-mail as well. The funny thing is that this is good for Obama in the long run. I mean, it's going to get negative, so it is vastly better to get it on the table with so much time before the election. Honestly, as an 'Obamatron' I could not feel better about this election.
Seriously, you could not fell better? Be careful not to overdose, must be good stuff whatever is that you are having. The McCain camp is just warming up,the polls are tied up,and that is just a few days after his European tour.McCain camp are gonna wait until after the Democratic? Convention, just to make sure the Supers don't nominate Hillary, and then it will be war on the arrogant, unqualified bastard.Get out your handkerchief and that stuff that make you feel good on election night, you'll need it
Again, one side here is clearly panicked, the other is not. Just step back and listen to what you are saying. Honestly, I think you know that Obama is going to win somewhere deep down.
BTW, did you have your handkerchief handy when the dems took Congress last term? The sad thing is that the last 7 years have been such a tragedy, I don't have any more sobs left.
This time the Refoolagains and their boy McSame won't succeed. We're ready for their lies and the American people aren't going to let them ruin our country anymore! Our economy, our international standing, our military are all in ruins because these guys just want to make a profit and have us pay for it. It stops here!
"I believe, we're going to see a great debate, which the American public deserves, more importantly. None of this negative stuff, though. You won't see it come out of our side at all, because my husband is absolutely opposed to any negative campaigning at all.
I believe I can speak for my husband on the same thing, we'd rather not win than to have to do that. That's not worth winning for."
Since when is it a bad thing to be popular as a presidential candidate, all it means is that more people want him to be president! This is only the start of how low McCain will sink. It is embarrassing that he believes the American people will buy this crap. He has done nothing else but insult the same people he's trying to court to his side by painting them as crazed fans.
What planet do you live on? We are trying to choose the president of the US, not the next American Idol. Most people do Not want that unqualified fraud to be president.Get your ass out of the water and go do some serious research on that phony before you waste your vote.Obamatrons are not only crazed fans, they are blind, stupid, lazy, sexist and junkies.
"Obamatrons are not only crazed fans, they are blind, stupid, lazy, sexist and junkies." At least they don't overly generalize and stereotype.
And "unqualified fraud"?? Heading Harvard Law Review, serving as a senator, and qualities such as intelligence and (get this) the ability to string a cogent sentence together are not qualifications? And McCain getting shot down and tortured is supposed to qualify him to be president? I'll take intelligence and ability any day over a sob story.
Right, they don't generalize, they just call everybody who has the audacity to not want to lick his balls a racist. Harvard law review? Are you kidding? who gives a fk about a college newspaper? We are talking PRESIDENTIAL qualifications here! McCain has been in the Senate for more than 20 years, and at an age when he was serving his country and being tortured, Hussein was sniffing cocaine.Sure, he can read from a teleprompter without stuttering, but so can Bozo.Hussein is a fraud.
Harvard Law Review is not a newspaper, it's a legal journal (that's not hard, you should know that). Heading Harvard Law Review is probably the very most prestigious thing a law student can do, and only the best and brightest qualify. Let's put it this way, John McCain would never be qualified enough to be chosen.
Look, your arguments are ridiculous, and you are an idiot. 'Hussein' (sure, you're not a racist) will be president soon, and you can go back to screwing your sister.
Listen to Obama without a prepared speech. He makes Bush sound like Churchill. Intelligent, you're kidding right? Name me something highly intelligent this man has said.
No, I'm not kidding, all objective evidence overwhelmingly shows that Obama is very intelligent.
Whether you vote or not is your choice; I hope you change your mind.
Don't know what you are talking about regarding his oratorical ability, pretty much everyone thinks otherwise, but again that's your opinon. Examples of something intelligent outside a speech? An interesting request, but I'll do my best with a few that I think are intelligent in next post:
He sure is more intelligent than you, but the majority of the voters in the country(Hillary supporters + the republican voters)were not impressed. The bastard stutters like a buffoon without a teleprompter and the recycled speeches of past politicians his people put together for him to read. I can help you out with one example of something intelligent he said, like he visited all the 57 states in the country. You will be busy collecting examples of his stupidity.
So you are accusing Obama of making Bushisms? 57 states, even a second-grader knows that. Watch the video, it's obvious he was caught between thoughts. A lot has been written on this. He is not capable of making such a simple mistake, but when our idiot president does it (enough to fill a book--which I have) there's no doubt. Obama was a brilliant student (history included), Bush has made this county a laughing-stock. So continue to make a fool of yourself
For a guy who says Hussein is soooo intelligent, making a mistake not even a 5th grader would make is beyond pathetic. The only 57 states he will care about is the 57 muslim nations in the world. That is what really was in his mind. He couldn't give a flying fuck about the USA. No wonder he doesn't want any more drilling here, his "brothers" would be the ones to lose.
"We worship an awesome God in the blue states and we don't like federal agents poking around in our libraries in the red states. We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the Stars and Stripes, all of us defending the United States of America."
"Iraq is sort of a situation where you've got a guy who drove the bus into the ditch. You obviously have to get the bus out of the ditch, and that's not easy to do, although you probably should fire the driver."
I'd like to see you give half as many speeches as he does, I'd like to see you have the confidence to speak to thousands without the slightest hesitation, simple mistake in your speech...how many times has EVERYONE said something wrong accidently!? Oh that's right...I'm sorry, you must be perfect...you must be able to give unprepared speeches-GOD FORBID anyone should prepare a speech in advance!!!
I suck at public speaking, but I'm also not running for President either. To be called intelligent you must have intelligent thoughts originating out of your own mind. That is not reading of a page written by someone else. I don't believe he writes his own speeches. The left has said Bush is a idiot because of his public speaking ability, don't bitch when the shoe is on the other foot.
Yeah, but the shoe is not on the other foot. Obama is universally praised for his oratorical ability; even the guys on Fox news say that. Like every politician, he uses speech writers. However, do a bit of research and you will find that Obama is know for being the exception and doing a great deal of the writing himself. The 2004 Keynote Speech, for example, was written entirely by Obama. This was a great speech, and way beyond the intellectual abilities of McCain and certainly Bush.
I hope you are not as blatantly wrong about easily discovered facts in other areas. 'To be called intelligent', give me a break, Obama is an intellectual beyond your capacity to understand. So you 'suck at public speaking.' Hate to break this to you, but you suck at writing and critical thinking as well. 'I don't believe he writes his own speeches'. Gee,that shows the value of your beliefs. And not only 'the left' says Bush is an idiot, that is universal consensus,it's hardly worth debating.
Nadeau, Obama has a bunch of speechwriters, one of which wrote for JFK. The guy can't speak without stuttering, unless he can read from a teleprompter. The Obamatrons confuse his acting skills with oratory skills, which he has none. He is such a poor debater, even W would beat him. He should give it a shot in Hollywood, after his great fall in November.
I agree--he is a hollow man without substance. Obama remonds of a Western movie set--looks like there is somthing on the outside but you go through the saloon door and see it is just a prop--nothing real about it. Obama has not substance and plans to load up the taxes to pay for all those programs and perks he promised to get elected. He does remin me of Paris Hilton--nothing there but cute.
I know what you mean...If you asked a vast majority of the Obama supporters at my high school why they'd rather he be president, their answers would probably be something along the lines of, "Well, I saw him on E!"
Yeah, political ads, including McCain's are petty. But I still think he's the better candidate for presidency.
Obama has now lied again, said he was against off shore drilling, now he has changed his tune and is for it? WHO IS THE REAL OBAMA? The guy that sat in a racist church for 20 years. Working in the YMCA doesn't qualify one for president. Think about it, the French and Germans love him. Please take him Europe, and just so you know he is NOT black, he is biracial, as his mom is white.
You whack jobs on the Left talk out of the same 10-page dictionary. You never learn. You're like a roomfull of parrots and tape recorders. One of these posts calls himself "highly informed". All Liberals claim that. But their informed with the orthodoxy of Liberalism, which is the most insipid religion on earth. They're kooks and heretics.
Saying Obama is just like any other celebrity like Britney spears or paris hilton is something i think some independent network might say or advertise but not a presidential candidate trying to actually get people to vote for him outside his circle. That is a HUGE insult to a presidential nominee...not to Obama but for a John McCain, after he loses to a man he compared to Paris Hilton.
...Is sad that McCain has to do this to be more noticed, but oh well, that's politics. Either way if McCain approves this who are we to question his decision?McCain should be more honest and we all know that attacking is the most ancient art of defense.Greetings from Portugal (and yes this election is important to everyone in the world.
This is so sad, McCain should be ashamed of the campaign he is taking part of. I mean trashing the other person running for the office it's not the way of getteng the lead. Comparing Obama to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, please.
America the brainwashed. It's sad to read some of these paranoid posts. You are in fear of an intelligent, informed, charismatic american who cares about his country and the planet. He has never done anything EVER that deserves the kind of lies and attacks about his patriotism. Right now I am disgusted with both the Republicans & the media.
Ahh the incurably sexist obamatrons impaired by overindulgence and with their minds always in the clouds unable to think clearly...Hussein didn't win anything, he doesn't have the popular votes, pledged delegates nor the electoral votes to win. Without a row call in the Convention this coup will be seen for what it is. Americans proved that they are idiots(W TWICE), but even that has its limits.Fool me once,I'm a Bush supporter, fool me twice and I'm an Obamatron! NObama, ever.
Please, remind the SDs to not sell out their principles for PAC money or give in to blackmail and intimidation, the favored methods employed by Hussein's abject campaign. The people of this country is watching, and it will not pass unnoticed.
The ad is not ineffective, everyone is commenting on it and that is because it rings true.McCain is a real American, not an impostor in a sheep's disguise.Anyone with a modicum of grey matter and analytical skills can see that.Hussein is a moron with artistic and oratory abilities.Hope he tries a stunt in Hollywood after his defeat in November. Come to think of it,I hope not,I'm so sick of seeing this arrogant, inexperienced fool prancing around as if he were already president.Only in his dreams!
aaa, McCain is a bitter old Hack who's been given every opportunity by his father and grandfather, and blown it. Literally. The idiot lost FIVE US aircraft at tens of millions of dollars and then managed to get shot down.
He doesn't know who's who or where's where for that matter. He thinks Czechoslovakia is still a country for God's sake.
He is demented and unstable. Even his old friends talk about how unstable he is and what an explosive temper he has.
Sounds like he had the good sense to change his career path, unlike Hussein, who seem to be good for nothing, considering his lack of credentials. The DNC can't hijack an election and get away with it,he was not chosen by the people, he was "selected" because of his puppet qualities. This Party is a sham, and it's a matter of principle to reject its chosen moron.McCain is far from perfect, but he is an AMERICAN,which is better than the sad alternative. The DNC blew it and it should go to hell.NObama.
aar, My educated guess, you're NOT educated much at all. Doesn't mean you have to think like a troll and see conspiracies everywhere. Your racism belies in effort you might cough up to make a cogent point. No gonna happen.
You are a bitter white guy feeling emasculated by a black intellectual with more sense in a third of his brain than McCain would have in two of his own.
If you were for Hillary, well I was too, she lost but don't sell out your principles over bitterness. McCain=Bush
This ad is misleading and may capture gullable voters for McCain. Obama is about alternative sources of energy. No matter who is in office, we're still going to be using foreign oil for another 10-20 years. And the reference of Britney and Paris is laughable. Pretty comical. The McCain campaign said it was meant as satire, so yeah, it did make me giggle. And even more so for the people who believe he carries as much substance as pop stars!
Another thing: Suggesting arctic and offshore drilling is the energy solution is like having a starving family and coming home with a pack of twinkies is a good solution. I am for the drilling, but that does nothing to solve any of our energy problems.
Mccain should be embarrassed by this ad, truly embarrassed. I am a registered republican who proudly supports Obahma. Mccain is a good guy, but he would be a crappy prez.
I can just see McCain croaking out his instructions for this ad from his rocking chair.. "and, and.. get that.. Britney Spearsss and, and.. that Paris Hilton and all that razzzmatazzz in there too."
When will people realize? OBAMA IS HALF WHITE. HIS MOTHER IS A WHITE WOMAN! HE IS NOT RACIST! The free world is capitalist and if you get outsold, you don't eat. America claims to be the ruler of the free world and western European nations dominate the market. He's just criticising people to do more for suffering nations, not spreading hate to his own race! This is like saying Obama hates black fathers after he criticised on them on fathers day!
Demonrats like to pull out the race card, the class warfare card, the religion card, the redneck card etc., when they have no ideas but to go backwards, forcing more government regulations on the people at the expense of freedom in the guise of "shared responsibility." Dems are followers, not leaders, losers in denial of reality who care only for themselves, their money and power. Screw 'em!
i'm sorry, i thought it was the current republican administration that pushed forward the wire tapping and indefinite imprisonment without charge/trial. but yeah, definitely the dems that cut back on freedom
Republicans, like ole Zile here, are self serving bigoted, but mainly just DUMB. Few are educated and virtually all HATE intellect. They bristle at intelligence and get their little hawkish feathers in a bind trying to spew their hate and ridiculousness.
Republicans only think in Simplistic terms.
Well it should be enough to look at Exxon's staggering world setting profits as the Hicks scratch their heads wondering why gas is so expensive. Hey good buddy let's drill fer some more.
Intellect? Puleesse! Liberals believe they're smart but they have zero common sense, living on utopian dreams created by fools like Obama.
Dems fall for idiots with big mouths spouting disguised socializm because they have no ideas themselves and have to go back to the old days of government control and redistributed wealth for the losers who can't make it.
Demonrats can't handle the facts! Dems have only made gas prices higher while they falsely claim to want alternative energy. It's a joke being played on the public they take for fools. But we the people are catching on. Obama is full of hot air. Travels around the world like he's already president, and he's not yet offically the nominee. What a fool!
Republicans cried for him to take a tour and when he does, all they do is wine and say "he's acting like he's president". Get over it. He said like 5 billion times there's only one president! Republicans are just hating that Obama's campaign is blowing McCain's out of the water.
This has to be one of the most pathetic McCain ads yet. Maybe if you want it to be a little more accurate drop the footage of Obama and substitute McCain's drug abusing barbydoll wife?
Exxon mobile, an American oil company, just posted their 2nd quarter profits and they made the most money they have ever made in that time period. Doesn't sound like a foreign oil problem to me. Sounds like a greedy American problem.
The high price of oil caused by speculation since Katrina is a scheme for Bush, Cheney, and Oil companies to move opinion towards drilling offshore or in Alaska. Funny thing, the oil companies know you'll pay 4$/gallon - so once they start getting oil in 10 years from said places, the price you pay at the pump will be unaffected!
I'd also love to see how no offshore drilling means yes to foreign oil. The impacts of offshore drilling will not be felt for at least 5 years from their starting date, and would only be a short term solution to a long term problem: using oil as our main source of energy. Obama supports researching and investing in alternative energy sources, the true long-term solution to gaining independence from foreign oil. By supporting offshore drilling, McCain is only solving for the short-term.
Obama favors requiring US to pay MORE money to other countries through a Global tax.
Just Google: Obama global tax proposal.
Do we really want more US dollars going OUT of the country to help others during current times??? Do we want to submit ourselves to Global rule so we may be required to pay until all countries are equal. Dems like to tax the rich and give to the poor... well, compared to the rest of the world, we're ALL rich so we must all pay the world if they win. Research it.
Obama playing typical tax shell game to fool voters!!!
Don't be fooled. When Obama says he'll cut taxes on poor and then tax rich and corporations, he only means he'll give with the right hand and take with the left. Companies are only conduits for taxes. Taxes are just another expense. All expenses are passed on to customers or recovered through cost wages or reductions in dividends reducing the value of our mutual funds for our retirement savings. When Obama taxes some company, you pay!
Some will want to respond to the prev psot, about company taxes, by saying how overpaid CEOs are. I agree, but even IF taxes impact CEO salaries, the vast majority (~99.9%) will still come from customers, employees, and shareholders (every ma and pa with a mutual fund). In short, it will come from real people. Worse, corp taxes end up being a regressive tax as poorer folks are impacted more by prices for every day goods, gas, etc.
Pls think it through before buying Obama's tax shell game.
Tuvo, what's your point? That no matter what, if taxes are raised, then everyone will end up paying for them? Our country is currently in billions of dollars of debt, being bought up by foreign countries and decreasing the value of the dollar. How does McCain propose, exactly, to decrease this debt without raising taxes? Send everyone another $500 stimulus check? Because that's worked really well this year.
Hey Polar, The main point is that people often forget that people, not companies, pay taxes in the end. McCain is HUGE on cutting government spending. That is the way we should reduce the debt. Tax and spend policies will only make the problem worse, in part by making it so our companies cannot compete globally. Compare our corporate tax policies to other countries. We hamstring ourselves and the result is lost US jobs.
McCain would rather our leaders not be popular and that politicians be ignored so they can covertly screw over the country without people paying attention. If people actually paid attention to politicians as much as other celebrities they would realise how dubious McCain's policies are. Here is a man invoking war rhetoric against Iran and 100yr war with Iraq while, at the same time, his home state of Arizona benefits with billions of dollars in defense contracts. No wonder he stays on the DL.
McCain is just a chelating ex-soldier with a lot of jelousie... poor America... Poor black male who will be a sacrificial goat from one side and dumbass militant from other side...
The irony is that both Britney Spears and Paris Hilton are Republicans. Spears is a huge Bush supporter, and Hilton's parents donated the maximum to McCain's campaign.
McCain you douche, can't believe I was considering voting for you. I voted for you against Bush in 2004 in the primaries, but now, you've shown you're not presidential at all!!!!
Paris Hilton doesn't even vote moron. And he was saying Obama is a celebrty not a leader. It had nothing to do with Britney Spears and Paris Hitlon. They are just random celebrities.
Random celebrities? I think not. There are some very intelligent and involved celebs that McCain chose NOT to use here (such as Bono or Oprah or Stevie Wonder). The McCain people quite brilliantly chose two celebrities who's popularity is huge and yet extremely dubious, somewhat infamous. Paris Hilton, what is she famous for? What does she add to society or even the world of entertainment? Brittney can't even keep her kids. This puts Obama in very shallow territory, popular but empty.
How's that hope and change working for ya??

...and if they vote for mccain, gas will magically fall back to $1.00 /gallon, electric bills will magically disappear, and every american will pay $0.10 for fed taxes...

origico 3 years ago
"gas will be 5 bucks a gallon" -- Yeah, that sure happened... It was under Republican ideology that created this economic downtown of lost jobs (due to outsourcing - aka neoliberalism)... Thank GOD Americans made the right decision.
StickItOutTillTheEnd 3 years ago
hmm funny you say so, obama is going to raise gas prices by impulmenting a heavy tax on it.
gas will be 5 bucks a gallon with all the inflation he will make from printing up 3 trillion dollars. it will cost you 20 bucks to eat at McDonald's
american's are all under the effects of the placebo effect. wake up you narrow minded liberal. the long term effects of obama will spell disaster on us. and you will end up paying for.
stop pretending he is going to "save" us
pyromonster99 3 years ago
Oh, I definitely don't believe that Obama will "save" everyone. There would have been an economic disaster with or without him. He's no angel, but he's definitely a better candidate than any Republican though, because those neoliberal policies which drive economic forces are more prevalent under conservative-type governments. I'm not narrow-minded; I respect your views (although I don't agree) and I understand them. I just believe that Obama was the better candidate for your country.
StickItOutTillTheEnd 3 years ago
oh and Canada will suffer more than America, mainly because Canada cant function without America. wake up
pyromonster99 3 years ago
It's give and take with the relationship between the U.S. and Canada. Canada has a stronger backbone than you think. Our economies are very much intertwined (ie/ auto industry here is suffering). When you're American, you believe that no other country can survive without America's help -- it's an embedded pride mentality in your country. I think that now, maybe, you're be the narrow-minded one? No offence; you seem intelligent and all, so just enlighten me if you have an example.
StickItOutTillTheEnd 3 years ago
if america has an economic collapse canada is not going to suffer? you canadains are too efficient to understand how america works, mainly because america wastes more money than any other country. simple fact is that canada is much more of a efficient country than america, and america will never get out of this. i would be surprised if canada could survive just fine with out america. we have horribly wasteful government, you dont. but who is going to buy all of your "stuff" if america is broken?
pyromonster99 3 years ago
i am also wondering why so many canadians are so concerned about americas elections and events and well being. just a wondering
pyromonster99 3 years ago
They're neighbouring countries, and 70% of Canadians live within 100 km of the U.S. border. I live right across from Detroit, Michigan. "I can see Detroit from my house!" (not Russia, hehe). The U.S. controls a lot in the world, and I find American politics a lot more interesting than Canadian. The economies are intertwined; I just see it as important to know about what's going on in the world -- especially with your neighbours! (or "neighbors", as you Americans would spell it)

Claronium780 3 years ago
Comparing Obama to JFK is like comparing Lindsey Lohan to Maryln Monroe. JFK led PT-109 in combat during WWII and out of Japanese-controlled territory when his boat was sunk. Obama has ever done anything like that nor has he ever lead anyone anywhere. He is merely a man with rhetoric--whose eventual claim to fame will be the enormous tax burden he will leave the Amercian public.
prestoni 3 years ago
How important a factor is military service in electing a President though? Bob Dole 1996: lost. George Bush sr. 1992: lost to Bill Clinton. Al Gore 2000: lost to Bush, same with John Kerry in 2004. And the "tax burden" would be mainly for the wealthy, which the can take in order to make life for the average person better, sorry if I don't shed a tear for the wealthy being 'over-taxed'
Claronium780 3 years ago
The man has never LED ANYTHING. On top off that, he is hypocritical. For example, he recently stated in an add that McCain had more contributions from big oil. Actually, ExxonMobil contributed more to Obama than McCain. As Obama once said, "Never let the facts hold you back from the truh that you believe." I love it.
prestoni 3 years ago 2
right... Obama will leave us with a tax burden.
Ronald "Fiscal Conservative" Regan = $200 Billion Deficit
George "Fiscal Conservative" Bush (41) = $300 Billion Deficit
Bill "Tax & Spend Liberal" Clinton = $200 Billion SURPLUS!
George "Fiscal Conservative" Bush (43) = $482 Billion Deficit
John "Fiscal Conservative" McCain = Do the math!!

FACT. WAKE UP!
medic19800 3 years ago
Reagan/Bush spent record amounts that evenutally bankrupted the Soviet Union-resulting in the end of the Cold War. Slick Willy Clinton created NAFTA and had suspicious financing similar to the ARM mortgages that created some of the housing issues today. The economy looked good until AFTER he left office. Slick Willy knew how to look good while screwing the country (and a few others). Yes, we have paid a premium for an unjust war. The Russians could be attacking more than Georgia today.
prestoni 3 years ago
The Soviet Union was collapsing anyway, outspending it at the expense of the US taxpayer did nothing to hasten it's demise. Ask ANYONE who specializes in Soviet studies. You can say what you want about President Clinton but the FACT remains...he left dumbya with a RECORD surplus of over $690 BILLION. Blaming Clinton for the housing mess of today is a COP OUT. Fast and greedy lending by bankers in the past 8 years caused this mess.
Our country's greatest economic growth rate was during 92-2000.
medic19800 3 years ago
If you truly knew Soviet studies, which I have have, you would know that Gorbechev said that the single biggest contributor to the weakening of the Soviet Union was their spending as a % of GDP to matain or exceed parity with the US military machine> Yes--they were weak and Reagan/Bush finishd it off. Slick Willy had the morals of an ally cat and never spent of the military and retreated from ev ery engagement except minor support in Bosnia.
prestoni 3 years ago
I could not possibly care less about Clinton's morals. As far as job performance is concerned, he was an EXCELLENT President. He presided over the greatest economic growth period this country ever recorded AND left dumbya with a RECORD $690 BILLION dollar surplus. Americans were happy and prosperous and we had peace via diplomacy instead of war, death and destruction under dumbya's LACK of diplomacy. Clinton, even today, enjoys one of the highest approval ratings of any President. dumbya? 22%!
medic19800 3 years ago
George Bush i bad and so was Clinton. He was way over rated as a President. He stood by idely while the massacre in Rwanda was ocurring despite knoweldge of it. He led one fast retreat out of Somalia when we had the Blackhawk incident. He stood by with knowledge of the massacres in Bosnia and only acted after the UN pushed us to. Clinton was a man of in action with a slippery chartacter. If he was so great, why did he come so CLOSE to being impeached?
prestoni 3 years ago
Dude...WHERE did you learn to speak English and what freaking planet are you on?
President Clinton WAS impeached. The GOP led Congress was so IRATE at Clintons popularity, they trumped up BULLSHIT charges in the Monica Lewinsky affair and successfully impeached him. Impeachment doesn't mean you're removed from office. Look it up.
Rwanda occurred under dumbya's watch Cletus!
Clinton STILL, even as an ex President, enjoys the highest popularity rating of any President.

I'll take intelligence and ability any day over a sob story.
pantherhawkrolling 3 years ago
Right, they don't generalize, they just call everybody who has the audacity to not want to lick his balls a racist. Harvard law review? Are you kidding? who gives a fk about a college newspaper? We are talking PRESIDENTIAL qualifications here! McCain has been in the Senate for more than 20 years, and at an age when he was serving his country and being tortured, Hussein was sniffing cocaine.Sure, he can read from a teleprompter without stuttering, but so can Bozo.Hussein is a fraud.
NObama.
aaarcg 3 years ago
Harvard Law Review is not a newspaper, it's a legal journal (that's not hard, you should know that). Heading Harvard Law Review is probably the very most prestigious thing a law student can do, and only the best and brightest qualify. Let's put it this way, John McCain would never be qualified enough to be chosen.
Look, your arguments are ridiculous, and you are an idiot. 'Hussein' (sure, you're not a racist) will be president soon, and you can go back to screwing your sister.

nadeau 3 years ago
No, I'm not kidding, all objective evidence overwhelmingly shows that Obama is very intelligent.
Whether you vote or not is your choice; I hope you change your mind.
Don't know what you are talking about regarding his oratorical ability, pretty much everyone thinks otherwise, but again that's your opinon. Examples of something intelligent outside a speech? An interesting request, but I'll do my best with a few that I think are intelligent in next post:
pantherhawkrolling 3 years ago
He sure is more intelligent than you, but the majority of the voters in the country(Hillary supporters + the republican voters)were not impressed. The bastard stutters like a buffoon without a teleprompter and the recycled speeches of past politicians his people put together for him to read. I can help you out with one example of something intelligent he said, like he visited all the 57 states in the country. You will be busy collecting examples of his stupidity.
aaarcg 3 years ago
So you are accusing Obama of making Bushisms? 57 states, even a second-grader knows that. Watch the video, it's obvious he was caught between thoughts. A lot has been written on this. He is not capable of making such a simple mistake, but when our idiot president does it (enough to fill a book--which I have) there's no doubt. Obama was a brilliant student (history included), Bush has made this county a laughing-stock. So continue to make a fool of yourself
pantherhawkrolling 3 years ago
For a guy who says Hussein is soooo intelligent, making a mistake not even a 5th grader would make is beyond pathetic. The only 57 states he will care about is the 57 muslim nations in the world. That is what really was in his mind. He couldn't give a flying fuck about the USA. No wonder he doesn't want any more drilling here, his "brothers" would be the ones to lose.

coygina 3 years ago 2
I suck at public speaking, but I'm also not running for President either. To be called intelligent you must have intelligent thoughts originating out of your own mind. That is not reading of a page written by someone else. I don't believe he writes his own speeches. The left has said Bush is a idiot because of his public speaking ability, don't bitch when the shoe is on the other foot.
nadeau 3 years ago
Yeah, but the shoe is not on the other foot. Obama is universally praised for his oratorical ability; even the guys on Fox news say that. Like every politician, he uses speech writers. However, do a bit of research and you will find that Obama is know for being the exception and doing a great deal of the writing himself. The 2004 Keynote Speech, for example, was written entirely by Obama. This was a great speech, and way beyond the intellectual abilities of McCain and certainly Bush.
pantherhawkrolling 3 years ago
I hope you are not as blatantly wrong about easily discovered facts in other areas. 'To be called intelligent', give me a break, Obama is an intellectual beyond your capacity to understand. So you 'suck at public speaking.' Hate to break this to you, but you suck at writing and critical thinking as well. 'I don't believe he writes his own speeches'. Gee,that shows the value of your beliefs. And not only 'the left' says Bush is an idiot, that is universal consensus,it's hardly worth debating.
pantherhawkrolling 3 years ago
Nadeau, Obama has a bunch of speechwriters, one of which wrote for JFK. The guy can't speak without stuttering, unless he can read from a teleprompter. The Obamatrons confuse his acting skills with oratory skills, which he has none.

Comparing Obama to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, please.
to be continued...

Hussein for president! - of Kenya.

How low can the political discourse go? McCain must be getting desparate. Maybe he should work on his speechmaking.

We've had 8 years of idiocy,no more
shaire99 3 years ago

And even more so for the people who believe he carries as much substance as pop stars!
errbarkkill 3 years ago
Another thing: Suggesting arctic and offshore drilling is the energy solution is like having a starving family and coming home with a pack of twinkies is a good solution. I am for the drilling, but that does nothing to solve any of our energy problems.

Obama said 'White Folk's Greed Runs a World In Need' It's in his book.
People need to go back and look at his books. They are filled with haterd towards whites.
He belonged to a racist church for 20 years. His mentor and pastor is a bigot.

This is like saying Obama hates black fathers after he criticised on them on fathers day!
errbarkkill 3 years ago
Demonrats like to pull out the race card, the class warfare card, the religion card, the redneck card etc., when they have no ideas but to go backwards, forcing more government regulations on the people at the expense of freedom in the guise of "shared responsibility." Dems are followers, not leaders, losers in denial of reality who care only for themselves, their money and power. Screw 'em!
Zile77 3 years ago
i'm sorry, i thought it was the current republican administration that pushed forward the wire tapping and indefinite imprisonment without charge/trial. but yeah, definitely the dems that cut back on freedom
conspiracyviewer 3 years ago
Republicans, like ole Zile here, are self serving bigoted, but mainly just DUMB. Few are educated and virtually all HATE intellect. They bristle at intelligence and get their little hawkish feathers in a bind trying to spew their hate and ridiculousness.
Republicans only think in Simplistic terms.
Well it should be enough to look at Exxon's staggering world setting profits as the Hicks scratch their heads wondering why gas is so expensive. Hey good buddy let's drill fer some more.
shaire99 3 years ago
Intellect?
Zile77 3 years ago
zile, it's actually 'socialism', NOT 'socializm'.
Can't git a dickshunary down in Hicksville? Huh? Huh?
shaire99 3 years ago
Demonrats can't handle the facts! Dems have only made gas prices higher while they falsely claim to want alternative energy. It's a joke being played on the public they take for fools. But we the people are catching on. Obama is full of hot air. Travels around the world like he's already president, and he's not yet offically the nominee. What a fool!
DEMOCRAPS ARE ARROGANT BASTARDS!!!!
Zile77 3 years ago
Republicans cried for him to take a tour and when he does, all they do is wine and say "he's acting like he's president". Get over it. He said like 5 billion times there's only one president! Republicans are just hating that Obama's campaign is blowing McCain's out of the water.

Exxon mobile, an American oil company, just posted their 2nd quarter profits and they made the most money they have ever made in that time period. Doesn't sound like a foreign oil problem to me. Sounds like a greedy American problem.
izhe4rael 3 years ago
The high price of oil caused by speculation since Katrina is a scheme for Bush, Cheney, and Oil companies to move opinion towards drilling offshore or in Alaska. Funny thing, the oil companies know you'll pay 4$/gallon - so once they start getting oil in 10 years from said places, the price you pay at the pump will be unaffected!
pceasysf 3 years ago

Tuvokami 3 years ago
Obama playing typical tax shell game to fool voters!!!
Don't be fooled. When Obama says he'll cut taxes on poor and then tax rich and corporations, he only means he'll give with the right hand and take with the left. Companies are only conduits for taxes. Taxes are just another expense. All expenses are passed on to customers or recovered through cost wages or reductions in dividends reducing the value of our mutual funds for our retirement savings. When Obama taxes some company, you pay!
Tuvokami 3 years ago 2
Some will want to respond to the prev psot, about company taxes, by saying how overpaid CEOs are. I agree, but even IF taxes impact CEO salaries, the vast majority (~99.9%) will still come from customers, employees, and shareholders (every ma and pa with a mutual fund). In short, it will come from real people. Worse, corp taxes end up being a regressive tax as poorer folks are impacted more by prices for every day goods, gas, etc.
Pls think it through before buying Obama's tax shell game.
Tuvokami 3 years ago
Tuvo, what's your point? That no matter what, if taxes are raised, then everyone will end up paying for them? Our country is currently in billions of dollars of debt, being bought up by foreign countries and decreasing the value of the dollar. How does McCain propose, exactly, to decrease this debt without raising taxes? Send everyone another $500 stimulus check? Because that's worked really well this year.
polarb88 3 years ago
Hey Polar, The main point is that people often forget that people, not companies, pay taxes in the end. McCain is HUGE on cutting government spending. That is the way we should reduce the debt. Tax and spend policies will only make the problem worse, in part by making it so our companies cannot compete globally. Compare our corporate tax policies to other countries. We hamstring ourselves and the result is lost US jobs.
Kind regards.
Tuvokami 3 years ago
McCain would rather our leaders not be popular and that politicians be ignored so they can covertly screw over the country without people paying attention. If people actually paid attention to politicians as much as other celebrities they would realise how dubious McCain's policies are. Here is a man invoking war rhetoric against Iran and 100yr war with Iraq while, at the same time, his home state of Arizona benefits with billions of dollars in defense contracts. No wonder he stays on the DL.

BombJapan 3 years ago
Paris Hilton doesn't even vote moron. And he was saying Obama is a celebrty not a leader. It had nothing to do with Britney Spears and Paris Hitlon. They are just random celebrities.
smeefan 3 years ago
Random celebrities? I think not. There are some very intelligent and involved celebs that McCain chose NOT to use here (such as Bono or Oprah or Stevie Wonder). The McCain people quite brilliantly chose two celebrities who's popularity is huge and yet extremely dubious, somewhat infamous. Paris Hilton, what is she famous for? What does she add to society or even the world of entertainment? Brittney can't even keep her kids. This puts Obama in very shallow territory, popular but empty.
