  • If this is the colorized version then I take it that the tinted red finale is in color too?

  • they dont look strong but they are strong but joe is stronger

  • he's king kong's son

  • Cryptozoology horror novel see video book trailer

  • Wee Willy Davis.

    lol

  • Max The Iron Man (Mac Batchelor) may very well have been the strongest guy on that stage.

  • The Swedish angel wasn't Swedish. He had the hormone disease acromegaly.

  • This is one of my favorite scenes from the movie. The Swedish Angel wasn't really Swedish. He got his look due to an overactive pituitary gland condition called acromegaly.

  • Regarding Mighty Joe Young reeling in all of the strong men without any resistance.

A full grown Gorilla which go in the range of 400LBS could take any human whether it be a UFC Champion, A strong man competition Winner, or whomever and could basically rip there arm off there body and beat them with it. A 50 Foot Gorilla would have made pulling those strong man even easier than it was in the movie.

  • The remake, exept for Joe himself, which is wonderful, is a piece of shit. King Kong was fab, but I prefered "joe" because it had a happy ending.

  • It's amazing how ten big strong men had the combined power of a mouse when compared to Mighty Joe Young. He didn't even bother to plant his feet and just reeled them in like pulling loose string. I know Mighty Joe Young is fiction, but lets assume he was a real life gorilla of that size, I think he would have still showed more resistance effort than this scene dispicted.

  • these guys were original strength its all roids and shit like that today

  • Pity the full film of this classic is not posted here. It would be wonderful if it was.

  • Brilliant film, I remember seeing this so many many years ago and it always played on my mind.. Not quite as dramatic as King Kong {1933}, but this black and white classic held a certain charm, atmosphere that the remake just doesn't have. I love this film more.

  • at 5:13 mighty joe body slam that guy.

  • Is there a chanse to poset the hole movie up on you tube because the Disney remeke sucks

  • it was good in its own way ...it made me cry a little.this ones good too.both stories were good to be honest.

  • Very interesting. I wish I could find this movie at my local video library.

I will try Amazon now! My last resort!

  • the swedish angel has a head like a peanut

  • Shame about the gay compression!!!

  • Definitely a well remembered part of this

movie. I would pick this clip from amongst

    many.

  • rasputin the mad russian kinda looks like otis the drunk on the andy griffith show..

  • To bad they skipped this sequence when they made the remake... it might have helped

    "Look...he's got FUR" !!

  • no doubt!!!

it would have been interesting to see what wrestlers/strongmen etc. they would have used

'THATS MY BOY" "OW WHAT A MAN"

  • Tragic that Carnera, the former heavy pro champ of the globe had to ridicule himself later on

  • At least he had the guts to face even King kong.

  • I second the posting of the piano scene. That's one thing I wish they did in the Disney remake. Or atleast something similar. One of my all time fav flicks. thanks for the post. (BTW, colorization = an abomination. Leave classic black and whites as are!!!!)

  • The Swedish WHAT!?

  • angel

    (lol)

  • okej..."Who are you?...I'm an angel...whats your name?...Satan!"

  • Wasn't him Lucifer? ^o)

  • Several names of the Devil there are...

  • the great Kali could take him

  • she was very cute

  • thanks for posting this

  • this was one of the best movies made in its day (and can still hold its ownas far as im cocernd)

do you have the scene were joe lifts the piano wile beautifull dreamer is played...if so please show it.its the hightlight of the film for me (that and the orfanage scene.
