@fandoro1 Gracias por opinar, señor Maestro :) Me sirvió mucho su punto de vista y los consejos que me dio para mejorar :D Cuídese mucho y le mando un saludo desde Argentina Stepan ^^
Yeah someone needs to teach this one to SLOW DOWN. Good effort great job etc etc but what's the point in straining yourself to play it at full speed if you just end up playing something different altogether? I'm still listening as I write this comment and I swear I'm not listening to Caprice no. 5.
@KynosaurTheMighty You can listen to my new Caprice #5 in my channel. Stepan Grytsay, 15 years. Please watch and comment . Thank you. Greets. Stepan ^^
there is something wrong with this video, it's like digitally sped up after the arpeggios. you can totally see it in the jerkiness of his movements. it's already impressive without the unnecessary touch.
wow you are amazing and only ten. follow your dreams kid. I respect and admire your dedication don't listen to any of those negative comments you are great keep it up!
@deadithink It's not a serious question. I just wanted to state that Schlomo is certainly a genius, and also a grown up. This kid here was only 10 years old when the vid was created, so I think you have to take the circumstances into account. However gifted a child maybe, he will never equal or surpass an adult who was certainly equally gifted at the same age.
In other words, there would be a point in prefering Schlomo's version if you actually refer to a version of him playing at age 10. But...
@Gatchan2 I listen to music purely on a aural basis. I do not try to factor in the person's age, race, or gender, rather I listen to the music as it is. I didn't like this very much, and if I were the child, I would have waited on posting my performance until I had it exactly the way I wanted. My appreciation for the the tense fluency that this piece has when played by Schlomo far outweighs the fact that this kid is playing Paganini at age 10. (albiet badly) No hard feelings intended.
@deadithink Well, freedom of speech, I can't argue on that. I understand your opinion, but fail to agree that saying it on the boy's channel with such cold words would be the clever thing to do.
"This is very good . You are still a child without technique, yet . You have all the time in front of you[...] Keep practicing" (wontollawolf) and "if I were the child, I would have waited on posting my performance until I had it exactly the way I wanted" say more or less the same. But way differently.
@deadithink True. It all depends on each and every one's inner rules, and I shouldn't try to shove mine into you. But it's not a big deal in that case. Good day to you.
Very good ! You've touched the main notes in very good terms , others could not even think of them , This is very good . You are still a child without technique, yet . You have all the time in front of you , and your violine is close to you , too . You'll get soon the technique ( may be your own technique ) . Keep practicing , you are very good . Just trust me . Keep going on . You'll touch the top . You'll see ....
So let me get this straight. You're a Ukrainian kid, living in Argentina, playing Italian music? Entiendes el Espanol muy bien? You're AMAZING on the violin!
He is amazing! Those who are asking him for more practice, shpuld remember that he is only 10! I was fucking speechless. When he's 20 he'll be the fucking violin god!!!
Yeah, let's indoctrinate this little guy with our fossilized, stagnant ideas about how to play these pieces. Just what the classical world needs more of the same!
Give him a break. He is 10 years old. To hit all those notes, at that speed. He is very very very talented. Probably, he should stick away from such hard pieces, or at least not perform it to audiences at least for a few years. But he is very very good nonetheless for his age.
@Deanmonic1 Well, theres always a right way and a wrong way to do something or learn something. You can't just simply pick up a violin or cello in my case and practice a piece of music and get it right without a reason for why you improved. Theres always a method. If there was a piece of music that had 4beats per measure,BUT in that measure there were 8-24th notes, 6-16th notes, 2-8th notes& a dotted quarter note, I would count 8 or even 16 beats per measure depending.
man you play it well. i don't really like paganini music cause its just a bunch of notes that are fast. like the part in the begining its going up and down. it doesn't sound that good. you play the song extremely well , but i don't like this song that paganini wrote.
maybe because oh i dont know,, IT WASNT A SONG. The 24 caprices were written as technique studies as can be seen in the first one which practices arpeggios and richochet bowing. It also demonstrates musical mastery to be able to play all of them as it was paganini's practice regimen.
The kid is good, but his playing is sloppy, and he appears to be attaching no emotions to his playing. Clearly a demonstration of the fact 'Skill ins't enough'. I DID NOT SAY THAT HE IS A BAD PLAYER, for those who like to argue everything....
I think at some point (perhaps 2:27) it gets imposible to listen to this interpretation...its just annoying. What I mean is that this kid is really virtuous, it is impressive, but the performance itself was...i wouldn't say bad...just too much for him, despite his virtuousism. there's no beauty on it. just effort... but it's just an opinion.
you're not wrong... you're evil. This kid may have made a questionable performance by adult standards, but it still takes a lot of effort and skill to play paganini. It's not fair to say this is bad, its far from perfect, but its VERY impressive, this boy has what it takes.
