Now Im 35 I have been an Elvis fan since my mom played his music while I was in her stomach. I just enjoyed alot of the music over the years. Now put the reality into this and Parker made many mistakes and did a couple of good things.
Elvis should of stood up more to Parker and moved on with his life got better music and movie rolls and perform in Japan and England and wherever. Our hero went down hard with his own personal demons and other peoples demons who should not have affected him.
freak, Elvis still tried to please this man. He was extremely loyal to him because of the early days and helping Elvis to superstardom . Colonel Parker took advantage of Elvis's loyalty and undying friendship. It's likely that with a better manager Elvis would of went on to even greater things.
@porn1978 Reply, Your quite wrong about Elvis being like that, he wasen`t, what Elvis saw in the Colonel was a man that helped he get to where he was, Elvis was always looking after people that he thought were looking after him, he was a greatful man....SURE HE SHOULD HAVE DUMPED THE COLONEL AND TOURED EUROPE, AND THE WORLD, but you cant blame Elvis for that he would have loved to tour the world but he also had faith in his so called friends?....
@fraaaaaag I agree with you for the most part. But Colonel Parker "the pimp", took advantage of elvis and manipulated elvis career. I wouldn't have been able to tolerate a selfish manager like that, epecially for that length of time.
Colonels wife is a wagon, just as bad as her greedy husband. She says he(colonel) didnt write anything down, he remembers everything. I ask then why, when Elvis fired him he was writing a resignation document with terms for termination. When he became manager back in the 50's there was no contract, just a handshake..so he should've taken getting the bullet like a man. As for superrenata, mj hasn't a patch on Elvis, bar he wrote his own lyrics, which elvis wasn't encouraged to do.
@grai If you would like to know more about Elvis' death then please feel free to email me at raggedyhobo720@yahoo.com and I will give you all the things I have on that. I have anything you could want to know on this subject because I have been researching this for many years now. I doubt seriously that I will find this video again so if you respond I probably wont know. So if you are still interested then please email me.
nope Elvis music is not my cup of coffee, Why didn't he perform an overses??, it's so strange!!! His(Elvis) concerts weren't magical like MIchael Jackson's concert's. Michael was loved by so many millions people around the world , Elvis was just love in USA. So as always say Michael was the best of the best and was and still is the nr ONE performer in the world!! We miss you so much Mike
@SuperRenata23 Why didn't he perform an overses?? The Tom Parker would not let Elvis out of his sight and because Tom Parker was a illegal alien Elvis never went over seas. His(Elvis) concerts weren't magical like MIchael Jackson's concert's.68 comeback special??? need i say more?? Elvis without going over seas was still huge in Europe Asia and everywhere else and umm ohh ya Elvis did cheat on his wife but I never heard of him molesting young boys. ELVIS WAS AND IS THE KING.
@RONRIFFLE your comment regarding Michael is very stupid and false you know that don't you!!! Michael was acquitted and vindicated on 12 charges so please stop talking rubbish!!, he never molested your boys but Elvis had molested Presley she was just 14 when he met her! Her stupid mother pushed her into his arms.and he took her in.Michael is the KIng and always will be GET IT????
@SuperRenata23" your comment regarding Michael is very stupid and false" Its a fact M.J. payed his first accusers 25 million so he would not have to go to court. Why would anyone pay any amount if what they were saying was not correct?
@RONRIFFLE there is not point to replay to you because you won't understand , why don't you do some research regarding Michael's molested trial . How many times do I have to tell you that Michael was acquitted , the juries didn't beleive the accuser and his mother what they were saying it. these stupid hungry for money monsters were trying to extort money from Mike .Please get some research first.
God, I wish Elvis was alive today. Even with all his great accomplishments, I think he would of went on and did so much more without that rotten Colonel Parker. I also think Elvis would of made more movies, but the kind of pictures Elvis wanted to make. He truly was the greatest of all time and sadly missed to this day.
people dont realize one fact.Vampires like Col.Porker abound in show biz.The MORE huge a star( who was bigger then Elvis huh ? )the more evil and deviously controlling the vampire that got his claws into him.Just by looking at Porker, you can see the hard;nasty;UNkind; even EVIL parasite he was. However he did it,he manged to have a control over Elvis that was almost "demonic" in nature;and evil to the core.I agree.Porker killed Elvis.Because evil IS capable in a most devious way of such things.
He gambled Elvis life away in Vegas , Elvis owed that fat pig nothing he could have been managed by a monkey and still been the King but instead he was managed by one of the pigs from the book 'animal farm.'
The only thing I will ever give the Colornel credit for is destroying my best friend and and taking all the goodness of a youngster at the age of 19 and well almost 19 and trying to get ELVIS to sell his soul to the devil. But ELVIS he just happened to have a mother who had sat him on her knee at church when the doors were open and she fed him enough of the WORD of GOD to sustain him .And he had his salvation sealed by babtism as a child so. Thank GOD he is safe. Thanks If . Love ya bobbie
@1943AngelEyes While I do agree with the distaste of the Colonel-and you are right about them.Elvis was big enough to tell the Colonol to shove it and drop him like a bad habit. He rarely stood up for himself against that man.And after making ridiculous movies and being worked like a greyhound on race day he still didn't stand up to him.Elvis could have made it without that carny.I wish he would have stood up to him,I think he would still be here.
I feel the colonel overworked Elvis for his own selfish needs, treating him as a money making machine and not respecting him for the human being he needed to be treated as.
A lot of the medication Elvis took was mainly for helping him cope with all the so arduous scheduling of his shows.
Elvis was such a wonderfully kind, caring, loving and humble man and gave of himself wholeheartedly till his very last day.
@annemaree , I so much love your caring comments, am happy to read all these loving words, All you wrote is in a way not only true but at the same time, so very sad.
wished Elvis would have had a more understanding, more caring manager. A man who really appreciated the great artist he was and did not only see in him a monay machine. May be Elvis would still be around.
Hope Elvis is happy were he is now, looking down on us with joy realising how much loved and admired he still is.
Thanks dear If for sharin this with me and to Lindasothervideos for makin and sharin with us. Elvis had so many injustices done to him in his lifetime, yethe always remained the loving , caring, giving man who loved people, his family, friends, fans.I think he would have made an excellent minister later in his life . He loved God and no matter what he continued to love people. God Bless , Hugs & Smiles, Love, Jan
Just finished watching all 6 episodes of this excellent documentary. Thanks a lot for uploading it. I thought I knew almost everything about The King, but there were quite a few things that were new to me here, like how the colonel speeded up the album. That's outrageous. Shame on that man who in many ways ruined Elvis even if he did make him the world's first rockstar. Thanks Phyllis for sharing this documentary with me -:) ***** - Eddie
Thanks sweet Phyllis for sharin this video with me. It breaks my heart at all the injustices done to Elvis . He was such a sweet, and trusting soul and people just used and abused him because of it and it is dispecable and hurts me to the core because he deserved so much better. I will always have the upmost love and respect for hthis amzing man. God Boless, Hugs & Smiles, Love, Jan
I must say after watching this entire documentary on ELVIS the entertainer I have found so many people of whom I have listed the names who said they knew him so well or thought they knew him so well. Sad to say they never cared enough to help fight the battles he was fighting all alone. I pity the people who took advantage and stole from him his youth, his music as they said the Colonel did by speeding up the one album. Disgusting. I knew him. THEY RUINED HIM. But he is safe now with his KING.
Stay in the Church thats important, singing in Acapella and hearing the voice of the Choir and feeling the peoples needs. People are important very much you cant have church without Peoplel. Allright bye,bye
this is a very sad and insightful documentary, still cant understand why Elvis was unable to part with this terrible, terrible parker. he took Elvis down and should have been fired once Elvis's carrier started to take off again.
where were the "good" friends coming to Elvis assistance and resue. . . .nowhere. . .they spoke out only after his death
Excellent Documentary I`ve never seen this before, very sad in some sections but the video was entertaining, I will aways maintain that Parker was a Rat, and not worthy of the company of Elvis and he`s friends.))
@fraaaaaag he was not only a rat, he was a thief and ruined Elvis, took away his love of entertaining, cut him down to at the end endless boaring hotel sessions.
how come that none of his so called friends were not more suportive of Elvis's real needs and understanding of performing.
it brings tears to my eyes to watch this documentary
very insightful documentary! i enjoyed every bit of it.great upload.you know tho, having been a fan of Elvis music all my life, reading, watching film, and listening to the man,ive come to the conclusion that if Elvis had stuck to his guns and ended his relationship with colonel parker he may very well have gotten some help for himself, witch i believe Elvis wanted but didnt know how to go about doing it.i also believe he could have lived longer and made music longer than the short 42 yrs he was here
where is this documentary comming from????

correction: it was elvis who sped up the tempo which made the songs sound horrible, songs like all shook up, dont be cruel & jailhouse rock.
