It's kind of hard to like the classics when all you have been listening to is metal. I too had the same case with Dragonforce a few years ago, I got to the point where I hated any band that didn't have huge guitar riffs. It's not a bad thing that you like metal, it's just that you can't bash an amazing band when all you have heard you're whole entire life is metal. When your mind goes out of the ignorant stage(if it ever does)then you will understand what music is about.

comparing Zep and Pink Floyd is like comparing nothing I can think of, just depends on what you like. I like rock, rap, blues and even disco, but I wouldn't compare one to the other, except Zep got a a lot of their inspiration from the old blues music, but then, who didn't (except mayble disco), but I still like it all.

Remember those were the late 60. Only a fuzz-pedal would not do the Job. To get somekinda sound you also need an old ,Tube,Amplifier. An old LondonCity or Fender Amp. I think the realy first Marshall will do too. But I think they are abit hard to find these Days. Those are collectors-Items. Wish you Good-Luck with finding your Sound.
