This song written by Leslie Bricusse, is actually from "Doctor Dolittle" and in the movie Rex Harrison sang it to Sophie the circus seal who longed to return to the sea. The last line of the song as sung to Sophie by Rex Harrison was not "How I love the world your eyes reveal". It was: "Isn't it a pity you're a seal". But the song was no less beautiful and poignant. It brought a tear to my eyes.
