  • This system seems like a great idea so I bought 1 as I didn't want to mess sterilising & filling individual bottles.

I agree with grooverjamesr and can't understand why you dont sterilise the whole fermenter or siphon tube.

If you fill to the 20 pint mark and sterilise as suggested, when you put the lid in, the solution only covers half of it!

I sterilised everything fully & bought a better siphon tube to avoid mouth contamination.

I will let you know how the stout tastes in the New Year!!

  • Siphoning beer from your fermenter using your mouth as a siphon is possibly the most ignorant thing I have ever seen. Firstly, the bacteria i your mouth can set up a cycle of bacterial growth inside the beer you place in the small secondary fermenters. Second, if this bacteria does take pace and growth established, it can cause the beer to spoil and you lose you investment and have to start over again. Finally, an auto siphon or even a siphon bulb you can sterilize those as well, save money.

  • 1/2 size kit

the bottles look handy for turbo cider.

  • Whoossshhhhhh and off I go to ibrew.co.uk
