If I'm not wrong, Rammstein's Till Lindemann was on the German swim team in the Olympics (1988... I think). So he goes from growing up in Cold War-era Germany to becoming an Olympic swimmer and transitions to a band that conquers the world in about 6 months. I'm an American... but I have to admit... Germany has the uncanny ability to produce some of the freakiest Uber-mensche / Alpha males on the planet. Must be something in the beer. :D
