  • i gotta fever, and the only perscription, is more reverb

  • Antoine Dufour can make a turtleneck look badass.

  • I just switcht out of the window, right to the start, but after a minute i just switcht back. I must see if that was realy just a Guitarr and a Violin O.o amazing

  • Antoine looks hilarious strumming. It's like he laughs at something so simple.

  • @capoman1 LOLLAZZO

  • 4:14 he just hold the violin with his chin. what a boss

  • it must be somthing in the water, you know like steroids for making amazing music

  • I love how Antoine's earlier Stonebridge guitar sounds almost like a child's toy now that he has a Beneteau in his hands, even though either would sound amazing between a mere mortal's fingertips. I also love it when classical and contemporary instruments can come together in this way. Simply fantastic.

  • What i love is that for so much of this, Gauthier was improvising. He steps away from the original track with this version so many times. It's great to see people enjoying their music.

  • Antoine strumming? It works out so well.

  • OMFG! Violin is such a powerful instrument. Never realized it until i heard these guys play. I have been listening their music for the last week every day, and im liking it more every time. ITs amazing!!!

  • THIS IS THE MUSIC FOR HUMANS! Most of the present days "music" is for BEASTS AND IDIOTS.

  • this is jazz

  • you are special complete harmony between both of you

    great!

  • i wish they were my gay foster parents... xD

  • 0:58 seconds. Love the violin there. So Latin American-sounding :)

  • @waitingkt dude, im from Latin American, and i tell you... Latin America Sux... Sux! Latin America sound its just the fcking reggaeton of shit.

i mean thats probably sound like spanish, sounds great

  • @sharingan41 You suck... :S Reggeaton is not the good music from South America... Fawking ignorants...

  • @JEAG lol i dont care, i dont like reggeaton, i dont like salsa o wharever you want.

im latin, and i hate latin america... and if you mean about latin america rock... it sux.... sux soooooooo much

  • @JEAG lol avril cover in your channel.... avril suxx soooo much... like you... fawking ignorant.... lol

  • @sharingan41 Avril Sucks and that band that is posted sucks too... Local band, prank video or something... You're too retarded to figure it... Y además, porque coño seguimos haciendo las respuestas en inglés? WTF?! Bueno pendejete aprende que si hay buena musica de este lado, sino te gusta tanto como profesas, solo vete... No necesitamos mierdillas como tu aqui...

  • @sharingan41

I have a suggestion. Read the title of this song. Think about where tango music comes from. Then thing really long and really dedicatedly about the implications of all that. Put it all together in your head.

If you follow all the steps correctly, I'm sure you can't still say that all Latin American music sucks.

  • I love Antoine's rosy cheeks.

  • What an amazing display of colaboration, a sweet taste of the of what different, distinguishable instruments can do on their own rite, and each musicians mastery over it. The song we listened to evolved as a result of all these elements. Comparatively, that is how Google Wave is gonna improve email. It just makes sense to bring people (musicians) into a composition and improve, build, and enhance a simple idea or song, to make it great. Get invited today!

  • these guys are soo amazing musicians...they move to the music and there facial expression shows feeling to the song as well as them just having fun..which its really all about

  • FOO KIN AH MAY ZING !!!

  • Simplemente sensacional... sin palabras.

  • So fkin amazing two guys...

  • 0:48 to 1:30 cords plzzzz if anybody can help me with that .. thanks

    hope that helped:)

    jack:)

  • thanks alot buddy

  • juste extra... il faut venir en France pour que je vienne vous applaudir! j'adore!

  • Antione keeps making funny faces!

  • What an amazing display of musicianship. You would have to be pretty damn good to get away with wearing a charlie brown sweater :) Awesome song.

  • Talented bastards they are..grrrrrrr :o(.that was pretty headbangingly awesome.***** 5 stars

  • Wow, I never knew dane cook had a double life and could play violin and changed his name to tommy guathier :D ahaa

  • idk why, but when i look at them i just think they would be amazing characters for a humor movie, they looklike funny guys. violinist looks alittle like will ferrel :D

  • hahaha, yeah, i think you're right!

  • @grommet123456

looks like dane cook to me

  • C'est super, bravo Antoine et Tommy

j'aimerais avoir la chance de te faire venir en Haute Gaspésie pour que les gens du coin voyage sur cette musique fantastique. Encore Bravo

  • he uses the cloth to prevent the strings before the fretboard from ringing when he plays hard and mutes it. he shows a demo on his vid. look up antonie dufour faq and go to around 8:40

  • Yeah, but it is also a magical thing that makes him play better :P

  • this is also true =p

  • This would be an awesome wedding song-if you could find anyone skilled enough to play it ;-)

  • When will he get rid of that silly red cloth on his guitar,,makes the hall thing hilarious !!!

  • Let me explain what that "silly cloth" is for (there are many possible reasons, but here are some of the main ones:

When you play the guitar as hard as Dufour does, their is a chance of pulling the tuning pegs loose, de-tuning the guitar in the middle of the song. The way that Dufour has tied that "silly cloth" onto his guitar helps prevent that.

Also, it helps soften the sound of the strings (bouncing of of an absorbent material) and it keeps the strings from hitting and damaging the guitar.

  • Ok,but I dont think Dufour is the only guitarist in the world that plays hard...why all the others hard players dont have any of this crap on their guitar?? Plus that it dont have to be 3 feet long reaching the floor almost !!! hahaha...He is a great player in deed but u have to admit that he's just showing off with that red rediculous thing hanging of the guitar...Its really silly

  • True, perhaps. However, in my experience, few professional guitarists actually pay attention to the guitars they use-they just replace the strings , tune it, and buy a new one when the old one is too beat-up to be played anymore. Antoine's behavior is the kind that a man who really likes his guitar displays; or it's the behavior of a man on a tight budget, who can't afford to spend that much money.

That last poor-guitarist comment was just speculation, by the way.

  • My friend I think you've got a point on that!...I dont think that every rock star guitarist treats his guitar like this guy...And I know what u mean from myself ...I like my guitar to look like new even if its 22 years old and a cheap one! ..I couldn't agree more with u on that!..Enjoy music man,regards...

  • He doesn't use it for that purpose. He said in a video it's to get rig of the unwanted harmonics he gers when muting strings.

  • I stand corrected. Thank you :)

  • amazing!! Antoine Dufour the Best!!

  • Fantastic...!!!

  • if your talking about urself .. agreed

  • I never knew guitar and violin can make fan-fan-fantastic harmony like this! It's really amazing! :D I respect you guys...

  • @spainrutc THIS IS THE MUSIC FOR HUMANS! Most of the present days "music" is for BEASTS AND IDIOTS.

  • The delay effect on Antoine's guitar during the Palm Muting was horrible, I thought it ruined the sound.

  • I think it's because it was recorded live at the festival.

  • Such constructive criticism. x]

  • I hardly see antoine do strumming on his guitar! this is just amazing yoh! to me its flawless

  • the term "flawless" isn't a matter of opinion...

  • Look at RPOLAND, its the youtuber user of Candyrat records, aka the guys Antoine and Tommy use for selling their CD's, they have a cleaner, and more modern version of this.

  • what does he say at 4:22 ?

  • Tommy looks like a cross between Ryan Reynolds and Dane Cook..

  • My thoughts exactly

  • Tuning anyone? @_@ him and gauthier are releasing a duet cd august 12th by the way

  • Comment removed

  • As always, nothing but great from these two. They make it look too easy.

  • ILOVE THIS I LIKE THIs TYPE OF IMPROVISATION :D I LIKE TO CREATE SAME MUSICS !!GREAT !!!

  • Hm . . I don't know what he says . . but I don't really think it's "treasure" .. . maybe it sounds like such a song . . if the word was "treasure", it wouldn't be possible .. cause the "s" (like sure) sounds a bit like a " T " . . I don't know :D but I don't think it's "treasure" . .

    Well .. TOMMY GAUTHIER RULEZZ !! =D

  • He definitely says TRACTOR. It's called Tango Agricole. That means Agricultural Tango, so... tractor makes sense.

  • Okay =3

  • yeah i fink its treasure too

  • i think he says "treasure, since that part right afterwards kinda sounds like a song from pirates of the caribbean lol

  • he says track 3 lol not check or tractor bahaha peace

  • 4:17

This really is my favorite part of this song!...

Does anyone know what Tommy says?

  • I have a feeling the guitarist listened to alot of traditional country when he was younger

  • holy shit. these guys are amazing!!!!

  • man I love his guitar, the neck width is perfect.

    ~ hats off

  • can some one add a drum track to this ? ;) that would be awesome

  • A drum track would ruin the mystique this song embodies :)

  • you should work more together!

  • How is he tuned?

  • Please..I beg you..record this in a proper studio and post a link here to buy it. I will pay money to buy this song.

    Thanks

  • Brillant

  • I thought it sounded not too bad :)

  • the sound is like this because it fits the damping which is awesome, even more combined with a violin

  • It's supposed to sound like that. Else it would be overpowered by the violin.

  • HennoxLane, I can see where you're coming from. The guitar does sound a bit gritty and metal-y, but it strikes an Arabian feel which matches the violin well. I love this song.

  • i really liked what the violin did at 1:00, like right on it, the whole step slide or something

  • Wouldn't it be cool to add Jerry Douglas & Bela Fleck to this mix!

  • Antoine is just like Matthew Perry/Chandler Bing(Friends):)

  • Tommy is the most tasteful violinist on youtube...Amazing intonation and tone...Great job...

  • violin rhapsody

    OR

    spanish violin piece

  • OoO Conchetumadre!!

  • sounds like days of the new .. kinda ..

  • Ye he says tractor ^^

  • Antoine Dufour and Tommy Gauthier are a awsome duo

  • thats music in my ears =) love it

  • o rly?

    lol

for me that was a tv show

    but yeah, they're awesome.

  • What does he say at 4:23?

  • checkers i believe lol

  • I believe cutthroat?

  • I believe he said "Tracteur" that mean truck in english, those kinda truck that we see in the farm, because the song is named "tango agricole" and at the begining of the song they talk about how they made this song and it's a big story around farms and everything XD

  • Tommy Gauthier needs more youtube videos. He is mega-talented.

  • More like Tommy Gauthier with Antoine Dufour!

Tommy kinda took the stage with this song lol

  • Tommy needs more videos on youtube for sure!!

  • Tommy Gauthier !!! You Rock !!

  • I think they should name it something like The Green Desert. Any other suggestions?

  • WOW! it sounds like a Gypsy Sword Dance!......From now on that's what it will be called! The Gypsy Sword Dance!

  • Violinist really sounds like Mark O'Connor!

  • damn extremely creative material here i'd love to see these guys live

  • nice :D

  • hey would anyone know a link where i could download this song?

  • Wait untill it comes out on CD then purchase it. Support the artist

  • Re: Tranquil

That's a noble idea but there are self-righteous bands out there (I won't name names) that release new music straight to downloadable format, then act like they are better than everyone else. This causes consumers to rely on the idea of free music. I've always been a fan CDs over MP3, myself, though.

  • well ok, have they already any CD?

  • je l'adore!

  • A title id like is : Desert Night

  • My kingdom for the song title...

  • that is just so awesome

  • chill out. its cozy

  • its called yellow mate.. you no.. that colour?

  • Truely amazing...there's no better way to communicate the feelings that pour out of your hearts. You guys have found your gift and a good one it is. Keep doing what you do!
