Replace Charlie Chaplin with Captain Jack Sparrow and it would have gone:

"Where has all the... rum gone?" and instead of a murphy bed, it's a hidden cabinet with bottles and bottles of rum stacked in it.

It's called that because the guy who patented the bed was named William L. Murphy. He founded the Murphy Bed Company in the early 20th century.
