This surgeon was utterly useless... nowadays, one would use a laporascopic incision to drain some of the fluid inside the cyst, then inflate the stomach with carbon dioxide to get a better view of the organ placement, finish draining the fluid, pull out the reamins of the cyst shell via an enlarged incision (but nowhere near the size of that!!) and then remove the extra folds of skin in a straight line, only gradually taking away skinn and MEASURING the incisions.
