god, i love this song. thanks for this and your playlist, which i just discovered today. i'm sure i will spend many unproductive hours listening. :) thanks for taking the time!
Its so hard to pick their best...but this has to rank up there as a top one.....so absolutely dreamy ..thanks...Im in Lettermen Heaven now....sigh....
jundao55..The Lettermen recorded many of the popular music of the era..Percy Faith Orchestra recorded the soundtrack to the movie Summer Place but the Letterman also recorded it and "See You in September" was the song I played over and over again when I was a kid come home from summer vacation and thining about my summer romances..It was such a romantic time...Ahh those were such beautiful times...
NIce post... I wonder how many know the black and white picture you posted here has four Lettermen in it. Jim Pike, Bob Engemann, Tony Butala and Gary Pike, who used to play bass in the Wilson Brown trio who toured with and backed up The Lettermen. Gary used to come up and sing "Summer Place" which is a four part song.
this one of the songs i like most. i lost this album "I have dream". where can i possibly have all the songs for my listening pleasure? i still have several LP records and had them converted to cd's. Am very glad if you can share the songs. thanks a lot!
@jundayo55 The love for your wife is as remarkable as this meaningful song. Only very few men are as thoughtful as you. I'm happy for your wife. Keep it up!
Yes I am honey . . . you seem to be too just by the music you choose . . . and that's quite alright with me !!! We need more people in the world like this !!!
Thanks for the wellwishes, heiwa. Yes. I really had a good time with my employer in Oman. His Excellency Abdullah Al-Ghazali is the greatest employer I ever had and Mr. Saleem Alawi Al-Ghazali is the best foreign friend that comes after our quarrel. The same with Mr. Abdul Tawab who used to listened to all our problems. I miss them all a lot. Thanks to them, even I've never treated them equally as I resigned before the gulf war, leaving them all in the cold.
Thanks for sharing us this video Jundayo55! Congratulations for having a nice and loving family.. Still have your "Dahil Sa Iyo" video on my playlist...More power to you and to all OFWs out there!!!
time...only time can erase the memory of our dream and all those dream that won't come true.yesterday i walk the street today and run in disbelief from the memory of someone losing you.
abi bay, makahilak gyud ko aning kantaha, I always remember sa nangaging panahon especially during my school days sa dumaguete city ug talingting, siquijor, akong mga barkada ug uyab he he he.
Hi Cathy, it's my dream to post your fantastic photos with The Lettermen on an MTV video. Will it be possible if you give me permission to create one especially dedicated for you? You are a great fan and I know it will be wonderful to see you on my YouTube Channel. Please!
This is a plain and simple video --- but it is full of loving memories:
the thought of Oman, Al-Bustan (the Garden), being away from home, family, distance, airplane ride, family summer dip....
The content of video gives justice to this beautiful song or either way the music is appropriate to the video. Regardless of what, this is one great dedication of someone to his dear someone.... كارول و مروان
Thanks for the great comment, it contents all the description of being away from home.I miss everything, Sultanate of Oman and all my friends back then. But I must face the reality, that I am not going younger anymore.I have to love things that I have now, my work,my everything.

I wander if the group really sung "See you in September", I never heard one yet. I thought Gary Lewis and the Playboys rendered it in the 60's.
