The idea was that this union should be based on love and kept apart from religion. No it wasn't based upon Christian morals. Eg USA was founded by deists and atheists and Norselands by pagans. Catholic ministries in poor countries make it so you don't get their aid unless you become a catholic. Less recently the Church supported the Spanish White Terror.

The idea was that this union should be based on love and kept apart from religion. No it wasn't based upon Christian morals. Eg USA was founded by deists and atheists and Norselands by pagans. Catholic ministries in poor countries make it so you don't get their aid unless you become a catholic. Less recently the Church supported the Spanish White Terror.
