  • Ted was very brave to make that speech.

  • Thank You for posting this! I couldn't share just what this has meant to me. Its been a rough couple of years and I constantly returned to your posting and meditated upon it (the music is a GREAT addition) some of the things I can share my son was born a little over a year ago and in a quiet moment I played this with him at my side and I looked upon him and thought what impact I might have on him and I wept... Thanks Once MORE... you have no idea how important this has been for me.

  • Just booked to have The last quote tattooed on my arm! RFK my true political inspiration

  • Rest in Peace. You will always be one of my heroes. You would have been someone really great, sadly you were taken too soon. It is always sad to see those who didn't believe in violence have their lives be taken by senseless violence. I'll never understand it. Hearing this breaks my heart. Your life on this earth was not wasted. You left a mark that will always remain for all of us to learn from, time after time. Not many people can say that at the end of their lives.

  • I lived in in the 60's and had good times and sad times. I believe the best times were President John F.Kennedy, apple pie and mom, and the worst times were when Pres. Kennedy and R.F.K. were taken from us. With the war in Vietnam, i truly believe they would have made a difference...bringing the Vietnam war to an end. America lost two great people during that era, and shall never see their likes again. They are missed...

  • Please don't ever delete this video.

  • An inspiration! God bless from Ireland!

  • How on earth can someone dislike this?

  • It's on us not to settle for what we have. For whatever environment or family you may have entered into as a newborn, your life is ultimately in your hands and you must take responsibility for it. It is a powerful thing that weighs on others when it weighs most heavily on itself, yet has the capacity to spread enormous amounts of light if you can only find the source of that light within yourself. It's on us to actively see the world and to hold it with ourselves to the highest moral standard.

  • @MickyG4444 Beautifully said

  • Is there any way to get this video into an MP3 format (including the music)? I'd love to listen to this more.

  • @blindside55 Rip it from youtube using a program you can find online. Convert it to an mp4 with just audio. MacTubes does it if you have a mac.

  • If only he would have lived our world would be a better place! I love you, RFK!

  • so inspiring

  • All my goals and ambitions stem from this man's (Bobby's) ideals and morality. Just wish I could thank him for steering me in correct path in life; such a strong and passionate individual.

  • I was the lucky one- I had Ted Kennedy as my senator for most of all my life.

I never had to worry about the congress votes. I always knew Ted would vote MY vote. It's so different now--- my voice is gone maybe forever.

  • The best president the United States never had.

  • Jack and Bobby Kennedy were cut down in their price by the CIA/MAFIA/ANTI CASTRO plot. But what they did was make political Martyr's of both men who voice will be stronger due to violent death and be remembered for hundred's if Thousands of years to come. When people talk about the President of the USA they will say Kennedy. Their enemies will have made a short term gain in stopping them but in the long term Jack and Bobby have become beacon of hope in the US and around the world.

  • The elites wish only to take our leaders away. The Kennedys had their own money..they did not need the corporate influence and they were removed from ther equation for their allegiance to America and Americans and liberty. Who are the last 2 U.S. politicians killed? It is a disgrace that now since their death we are divided amongst ourselves and not the Wall St. Cartel.

As flawed as the Kennedys were Joe Sr. Believed in taking care of yourself and the freedom to keep what you earn.

  • You can hear him get choked up towards the end. That speech had to be extremely hard to give. I read that he didn't expect to live to see 50 years old since all three of his older brothers died violently as young men.

  • 06/06/2011 ~ R.I.P Bobby, you are missed every single day. How Teddy managed to finish this Eulogy I'll never know! Just amazing.

  • how can a person dislike this video....this man was an inspirational man, the last true leader.......had the kennedy brothers ruled the america would have been truly great!!!

  • i really wish he had become president.

  • Illuminati killed him, it is so apparent.

  • Can you tell me the name of this musical piece. It's lovely.

  • He was irreplaceable.

  • the few lines beginning 8:46 are some of the most powerful lines in a speech i've ever heard, only being made more powerful by the fact ted begins to break up.

  • ...under the most comfortable conditions...

  • It seems once in a lifetime, someone comes along and makes an impact on the world. I believe robert f. kennedy did that, the short time he graced this planet. His

idealisms and compassion for the less fortunate are awe inspiring, along what he stood for, are things everyone should strive for. His honesty, directness and love for his fellow men showed the inner workings of a great man. Like his brother said in this eulogy: be remembered simply as a good and decent man.....He is missed..

  • Greatest speach. Regardless of party. This is a word for human compassion.

  • This speech warms my heart.

  • Ron Paul 2012 !!! bring hope back to the united states like jfk did 50yrs ago !!!!

  • who dislikes this.

  • The Kennedys were different to your average politicians. They actually gave a fuck about the American people.

  • I hope someday we get leaders like that again. We need true leadership in this country. We haven't had it for so long. I wonder if we'll recognize it when we see it again.

  • Even thought they were not perfect If these two good and couragous men had lived the world would have been a better place. I'm sure of it. They were silenced too early and these events lately put thier words into sharp focus, listen and take it to heart. You can't change the world for the better by killing those that have different beliefs.JFK made a speech about secret societies and shadow government shortly before he died. Look it up

  • RFK was of my generation. He was more ruthless than history remembers. But he inspired us so much. A passionate and brilliant man, totally changed by his brother's death and by the revolutionary ferment of the 60s, on fire with the possibility of change during in his short swift life, heedless for his own safety.

Ted's shaking voice betrays with every word his love for Bobby. Ted himself went on, in a quieter way, in a quieter time, to do much good in the world as a gifted, hard working Senator.

  • r.i.p. to all the kennedy's WE NEED MORE OF EM!!

  • A great speech for a great man RIP cobber!

  • is it just a coincidence that those who speak of peace, who oppose big banks, big business and the defense industry controlling all of an economy who happen to die? isnt that weird? why hasnt anyone ever taken a shot at the bushes? i mean RFK was killed for supposedly being 1 of 100 senators who agreed to sell jets to israel which where then used in the war against arabs in the middle east. the bush father and son team are responsible for over 5 millions deaths and get shoes thrown at them

  • @pat442389 more and more people are aware, I just hope the internet remains free long enough for enough people to realize the big picture.

  • Where have all of our leaders gone?

  • One of my strongest, saddest memories, sitting in my family home's florida room, staring at the tv, watching that long, slow train ride which shuttled his body from Washington to NYC. Tens of thousands, lining the track, some with signs, some simply standing still with tears in their eyes, saying goodbye. When will we ever learn... when will we ever learn.

  • I think he had to raise all those children that lost their fathers...he knew he would be shot if President. The Bushes are evil and anything in the way of their grasp for power will be ultimately eliminated....Not Teddy's fault!

  • Honestly, when we look at the people outside of this country, its events like Teddy that make people disrespect the US. Lets have some courage here buddy, your brothers, of the same womb and genesis, died for it. You are shameful.

  • Honestly, when we look at the people outside of this country, its events like Teddy that make people disrespect the US. Lets have some courage here buddy, your brothers, of the same womb and genesis, died for it. You are shameful.

  • What could he have done to do worse and not ask who killed JFK & RFK and why they have not been brought to justice. I can understand the regular populace being scared but though the chump that I am, I would not have been scared to ask who killed my brothers that were so dearly loved by the populace and would have taken the country to the greater good.

  • JFK & RFK dead and who last the longest, the LION of the Senate, Teddy. This is worse than a joke, at least RFK had the courage to ask Lyndie who killed his brother, Teddy the pimpie of-course, bends over and says he will serve, when we have Clintie and then Dubya and then Barrie coming on board. What country and what people exactly was he serving.

  • America should be ashamed of itself...the Bush family killed the Kennedys..jealous has a rage of the most evil. The "sick puppy" is George Bush!!!

  • A man that tried to make the wrong things of the world right. Like he and his great brother,, a bullet

  • I will never forget the day at LAX when I was able to shake his hand, just following dropping my brother off to go back to Fort Ord, then to Vietnam......God bless those of you who were there. May your days now be at peace, and I know that isn't the way it is........

  • These are some of the most inspirational words I have ever heard. This has great significance in these times as well.

Sorry to add another quote to a eulogy laden with some of the best words spoken, but I think this sums up RFK to me:

"Great men are they who see that the spiritual is stronger than any material force--that thoughts rule the world." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

  • in a speech rfk gave at the DNC convention in 1964, speaking of his slain brother, he said (quoting from romeo & juiiet): "when he shall die, take him and cut him out in little stars, and he shall make the face of heaven so fine that all the world will be in love with night, and pay no worship to the garish son." the same must be said of him. at a time when there were so very few heroes, rfk carried the torch for the dreams and hopes of hundreds of millions people throughout the world.

  • There isnt many true Americans. Robert Kennedy was one.

  • From time to time god will provide us with special souls to help us fight the evil in this world, the Kennedy's were two of those special souls, as a muslim i pray to Allah to bless these two souls and show them the gates of heaven. peace and love

  • The man

  • JFK,MLK And RFK passed across our skies like golden comets,we were blessed to be sprinkled with the heavenly dust that those shining stars showered upon us all,it is up to us all to carry on their hopes and dreams, their early and quick passing means they will never grow old in our imaginations.JFK,MLK,RFK-NOT FORGOTTEN.

  • @thomasg74

Well said. What they must be thinking now. Our country has gone from JFK, MLK and RFK to Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and John Boehner. God help us all.

  • @screenwriter44 ,i used the comet analogy to draw attention to the rarity of an occurrence,in this case Genuine Men in Politics/ leadership,as were JFK,RFK,MLK.Though they were flawed, their flaws were of a personal nature,in their responsibilities of leadership they were 100% behind the greatest majority of people, not serving the interests of the very few, this is borne out in the missile crisis when JFK resisted the warmongers like lemay,we are here today because he chose dialogue over war.

  • @alstead2001 How old are you - twelve? That's a juvenile thing to say. If you want to go down that road, at least Bobby stayed married to his first wife unlike Newt or most republicans. Bobby wouldn't have escalated the war in 'Nam like Nixon. He wouldn't have taken the US into a war based on lies like Bush. Bobby never sent thousands or millions of soldiers to their deaths so his family could get rich. He earned our love and trust. Nobody cried when Nixon died, nor will they cry for Bush.

  • R.I.P. RK JFK

  • its a fuckin joke when the GOP and fox say how great reagan was. Kennedy has been by far the greatest post ww2 president we've had. theres too many things to mention here but he literally saved the people of this planet from living in a nuclear wasteland all over stupid greedy men who saw money profit and power by starting a third world war. idk if it was god or luck that put kennedy in office in 61-63 but today should still celebrate his courage to stand up to the military cia fbi and pentagon

  • Like his brother and nephew he had all the gifts in life but length of years

  • His murder was a dagger in the heart of this great republic, a public life not finished. Sad, sad, to this day a really sad loss for the country.

  • It's been 42 years since we lost Bobby. RFK & JFK truly walked in the steps of Christ. They cared for the poor, the sick, they were the voice for every person who was ignored by those in power. They were not perfect, no man is, but like Christ they were killed while trying to do what was morally right. I don't think it was a coincidence that Bobby died at Good Samaritan Hospital. If we want to honor Bobby and John we must follow their examples. RIP RFK and JFK. We love you and we miss you.

  • 42 years ago today we lost this great man, my heart still goes out for his wife Ethel and all of his children and their families. He was a hero to many people and is still dearly missed to this day.

  • wats the name of the song that is going on in the background??? i want it!

  • @MrRussianlord1687

Its called Atonement from the bourne supremacy by John Powell

  • i will never stop to love and adore you, dearest Bobby. thank you for your loving care

  • That was more than a little bit moving.

  • Thank You.....

I was raised in a conservitive household....but I know...had I been here when Bobby and Jack were here...I would have voted for both of them....

  • @NCBoyJess Bobby and jack were modern day conservatives.

  • @ltkhokie1

Sorry, but are you insane? Have you listened at all to the overall message of anything they've said or written?? The Kennedys dedicated their lives to fighting against injustices and looking out for the less fortunate. Bobby said things like "I believe that as long as there is plenty, poverty is evil." Anti-war, anti-death penalty, pro-universal health care, the list goes on. Anything but conservative. You can look at their own works or listen to the people who were around them.

  • While I'm honest about where I am on the spectrum....

My Heart Aches at the still felt Loss of Robert Francis and John Fitzgerald....and yes Even Edward Moore....

Liberalism dosen't mean today what it meant then....

I Miss you Robert and Jack....

    God Bless.....

    A Proud Independant....

  • Well put

  • Thanks for this video. The eulogy by EMK and the music touches the depths of the heart. The Kennedys were not perfect. They were human and therefore - flawed. But their lives are inspirations that make us believe that every one can make a difference in this world. We can each become a drop in a growing ocean of peace. Assassination took them away physically, but bullets and bombs cannot stop their ideas and ideals from spreading. JFK, RFK and EMK - we salute you and miss you. God bless you all.

  • From a Brit I remember well the day JFK died. My father was a D Day veteran and he returned home one day in tears. I'd never seen him cry before.

JFK had been assassinated. Dad loved him because my dad was no racist and neither was John.

As a 13 year old at the time it has lived with me and in time I learned what a great man JFK and his brothers were.

  • THANK YOU TED AND BOBBY!

  • Thank you John, Bobby and Teddy.

  • Bobby, Gone too soon. Just imagine someone who promoted peace so much as he did could have done for this world. We need him most of all now then ever! You were the one great American hope! RIP!

  • god bless u robert kennedy. ur legacy is all inspiring and very powerful. u were loved by all. i can tell by the way ur brother beautifully talks about u. RIP u are missed

  • this is the best speech i have ever heard

  • @fedorfan22 I love this speech as well, It is a conscientiousness of humanity I would like to obtain in my own life. And it goes along with one of the greatest commandments "Love your neighbor as yourself." This speech transcends ultra left or ultra right idealism's. I would have liked to known Robert Kennedy

  • beautiful

  • It has taken more than 40 years for someone to step up and continue what this glorious family has started. Not a single politician in the last 40 years was of that superior ethical standards and skill. we will always miss RFK. Thank you for inspiring me.

  • You are missed Bobby. We need you more and more every day. Rest in Peace dear Bobby.

  • RFK, the last best hope for America and the world. God rest you, Bobby, and thanks for being an inspiration to me.

  • @maxcath Bless you too.

  • sweet words of wisdom tide to so much sorrow this touches my heart I was 5 years old when this bad thing happened and will never forget when mankind learn "God is love"

  • Excellent! Almost forgot about this moving tribute.

JFK, MLK, RFK; none of them lived past the age of 46.

Yet we still hear their words.

  • If anyone loves this moving tribute I highly recommend 'Edward M. Kennedy True Compass' his memoirs. The first half of the book gives you an idea of how these great men and women in this family were raised. How close they were and how much they truely loved and cared for one another. Which makes this eulogy even more poignant. My hat goes off to both Joseph Sr. and Rose Kennedy.

  • "Some men see things as they are and say 'why?'. I see things as they never were and say 'why not?' "

  • Powerful. Not too many good guys anymore. thanks Bobby.

  • BUT Maybe Kidred56 we can ALL live the dream? lets HOPE so Because we will all be dead..

  • Robert Kennedy in great new bio (Ted Kennedy: The Early Years) at amazon!

  • HE WOULD HAVE BEEN THE GREATEST PRESIDENT OF THE USA !!!! He has that MORAL COMPASS TO TRULY LEAD THE WORLD WITH COURAGE, LOVE AND SINCERETY!!!

Came from a priveleged background and yet choose a tough road to serve mankind and ultimately sacrificed his life for it. RFK MY HERO!!!

  • He was the only one who walked the walk. Look what we have now.

  • @Wavingclouds

We shall see my friend, we shall see.

  • "Few are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of the colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change". -Robert F. Kennedy

  • I believe RFK tried to live up to this in so many ways, but he was/is the last who has. There is no Republican or Democrat, since, who has come close. RFK was transformed after the death of his brother, JFK, and he was prepared to lead our country out of the morass during those tumultuous times. As a Democrat, I am disappointed in who we have as president. Hopefully, he will get better. But he will never lead, or have the moral courage of a Bobby Kennedy---NEVER!!!!!!!

  • I totally agree with you. We need leaders who have the guts and the courage to make the really tough choices. Sometimes we forget the word-sacrifice. But we also need idealists. RFK was an idealistic fighter.

  • So powerful. The music was a really great addition.

  • he was, in a way- john and bobby shared everything. even marilyn monroe.

  • Bobby was very cool. More politicians shopuld be like he was.

  • I hope all the people of the world can someday achieve the level of love Robert had for mankind. I hope to be able to commit my life to the level of love he held for man. But we cannot dream this to happen we have to live it, and practice it for it to come true....

  • Thats probably one of the best speeches i have ever heard ;)

  • go ahead, try not to cry while watching this.

    it's impossible.

  • i would love to get this burned into a cd with this music

  • +1. I would love this on my iPod.

  • beautiful is all that comes out of my mouth. im named after that great man.

  • the music is from the movie - the bourne supremecy- Atonment- john powell. Moving tribute. RIP

  • How beautiful. Using a man's own words to eulogise him.

Can you please tell me what the piece of background music is? Thanks.

  • R.I.P Bobby, as well as the other brothers who have been taken from us too early. I may have not been part of the generation Bobby was, but he truly seemed like someone that wanted to live and help build a world where we don't have to fight and kill to get our ideas across.

  • In total agreement.

  • I was a grade school kid when this happened, but I will always remember how crushed I was as a result, as well as so many others that I knew. I remember that many were so very impressed at this euology.

  • This is very beautiful! Thank you for posting. May your soul rest in peace, Bobby!

  • I'm Australian and came here from England in 1955 @ the age of 1 !

From an early age of 7 and 8, understood some ways of the world because I watched current affairs with my Father.

They, as a Family, suffered greatly, but they were burdened with those tragedies, because they were in themselves, great men.

Rest In peace and God bless the Kennedies indeed and thank you for all that you have taught me.

The world is better for having met you !

  • Such a tragic loss, of such a great and inspiring man. Man god bless and keep the Kennedy brothers, and all their good and inspiring conterbutions to our nation. So sad that Bobby followed his older brothers in dying a violent and sad death. It seems sad that the Kennedy legecy light dimmied out with Teddy's passing.

May Teddy join his parent, brothers and sisters and nephews in heaven.

R.IP to the Kennedy Brothers Joe, John, Bobby and Teddy.

  • Where are the great men like RFK today? All I hear today are cynicism and bitterness. I guess it's up to each of us to do our part and not look to others to lighten the load, but forgive me for missing leaders like RFK.

  • @holzpusher It's hard to become a man like Kennedy when the Nazis that killed him get elected president.

  • Comment removed

  • I never post comments but sorry, the ignorance here is unacceptable.

    1. Ted Kennedy never supported the IRA, he was instrumental in drawing attention in the US to the "troubles" in NI. He advocated for both sdes to come to the negotiating table, the net result being the Good Friday Agreement and peace in the North.

    2. The majority of those killed in the Lockarbie bombing were Americans so they have an interest in Megrahi's detention.

Kennedy was a great man, the world mourns. May he RIP

  • Ab-So-Lut-Ley Spot-ON!!

I only wish there was a Eulogy as Eloquent, and Beautiful as the one he delivered for Bobby to summarize his life of public service, conducted at great risk, and his dedication to his and his brother's children, many in number, but who all praise his selfiness in always being there, for all the children of assassination. That many so-called Republicans leave such ignorant, pathetic comments about a man that endangered his life, literally to make theirs better is SAD

  • You must be looking in a mirror. FGTFJT.

You are an embarrassment to us all. Why would someone so small even be viewing this video.

I apologize on behalf of this human stain to all mankind. Clearly FGTFJT is the opposite end of the spectrum. A perfect example of what is wrong with mankind. Yet the Kennedy's would even try to pull this troubled soul to a greater place. If at all possible.

  • We do indeed live in a land of giants. A fitting tribute to a great leader.

  • Salutes, Rest in peace man...

  • what song this be ?

  • I don't know if I've ever seen a more moving video, the music, complete with pictures and Ted's words make this very somber yet uplifting as it calls to all of us to change our nation for the better.

It truly makes you wonder what RFK could have accomplished.

  • RIP Teddy. the last of the Great Family is gone.

"Some men see things as they are and say why. I dream things that never were and say why not."

    Edward Kennedy 1932-2009

  • Rest easy Teddy, you deserve it. Rest in peace to the Kennedy brothers.

I would say God has a twisted sense of purpose, two brothers die of a bullet in the brain, the other dies of brain cancer!

  • sad but true...thtz a twisted sense of humor

  • "the last son of Camelot."

  • RIP Teddy. The last lion

  • I always wonder what if? If John would had lived, Bobby, Martin. Would we be the nation of love, hope and compassion they wanted us to be? To love and care about each other. Maybe that's why there gone. It was all just a dream

  • This one hurt me the most...little did i know at the age of 15 as i watched all this happen...it was the begining of the end of "the american dream"...but now 40 years later i can see back and know that i was right and my generation will forever be remembered for destroying that dream...some legacy and now teddy is gone...and the curtain closes on Camelot RIP-Joe-John-Bobby-Teddy

  • I know, pity that Joe Jr was killed so early in his life, One wonders how great a politician he would have been. RIP all 4 Kennedy brothers.

  • Comment removed

  • RIP Teddy

  • R.I.P Teddy and Bobby (and obviously John).

  • RIP, teddy. This is my perennial favorite video on youtube.

  • Im not sure if swabby is from the US. I guess he can tell the future. It also seems that he is obsessed with 9/11 and the destruction of America. The truth is w/ out the US the is no prosperity for anyone else in this world. This country has seen much darker days. It is easy for a little anxious coward named swabby to spew fear and hate just like the republicans in this country. He waqllows in his own self pitty and has no hope for his own future. Ill pray for you swabby.

  • Sad... Robert F. Kennedy was inspirational. Whoever killed him had no heart and only wanted more pain in despair.

Its sad how some do not think before they act.

  • dare to dream.... a ledgend

  • thanks bsbncandey...enough said

  • He would have been one of the greatest presidents, he would have surpassed Jack

  • while most teens my age write things like i love rob pattinson on their binder, I have

"Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly." I'm really quite proud of it actually.

although i wasn't alive when he was i still miss bobby :(

  • I have no doubt, your words and thoughts would please Bobby. Your age has no barrier to lead and dare to change nor to strive and speak up, even at the distaste of your peers. It is through his strength of purpose and action that led me to believe that some things need to change. The benefit will appear at some stage. Touche misskennedy! You may wish to read Vaclav Havel's speech (01.01.1990) upon ascending the Czech Presidency.

  • How can CIA be so evil and cruel? They cannot just accept that things always go their way. 3 saviors got killed. MLK, JFK and RFK. CIA is a dogma.

  • CIA is a dogma?. Do you even know what the fuck dogma means?.

  • We miss you Bobby. Viva la Kennedys!

  • But he had the power to transform himself through experiencing pain that he carried with him from childhood neglect onward. His life is the personification for idealism and the fact that it is always within our power to change and not to adhere to the black and white areas. He lived in the gray, more concerned with asking the right questions, than claiming knowledge of the absolute answers. That's what made Bobby a uniter.

  • As a huge Bobby fan myself, I think moral is the wrong word to describe Bobby, at least if we are to label him as something definitive. I would say he was more of a man most honest with himself, which allowed him to transform and be empathetic the more he was exposed to the ignorance and privileges that so many Americans, especially now take for granted. But that's what makes Bobby my inspiration. He wasn't a saint, not even close, if you've done your research.

  • That's true, but I believe he was the most morally sound of all Joe Kennedy's sons. The vices of Jack and Edward, at least those that we know of, were much more apparent than those of Robert.

  • well I couldn't disagree with that, at least with Jack. I pretty much no nothing about Teddy. But I mean in terms of Bobby and his Dad, his dad's non-love of Bobby is the best thing that ever happened to him and helped make him make himself.

  • rwilldred27:

If you have not heard much about Edward Kennedy, R.I.P., you should read about the Chappaquiddick incident. Edward accomplished a great deal in his long life but he never lived down that event in his past.

  • we miss you bobby, clearly there is a link between RFK assassination and (d)evil forces in America, this man was standing in the path of military industrial complex like his brother, RIP bobby

  • A wonderful man. Potential unrealized. This world suffered a loss of a man that could have created a much better place for all of us. Great Video. Thank you

  • 2 saviors. Both killed. Good luck.

  • I cannot tell you how many times I have and will continue to watch this clip. The music you choose for this is fantastic. Thank you!

  • "some man see things as they are and say why, i dream things that never were and say why not?"
