This was Codemasters version of the old 8 bit classic 'Toobin' - the difference being in Toobin' you would sit in a rubber ring as you meander through the rapids as Dizzy had to make do with a barrel. Sadly, the best thing about this game is the music - which is superb.
@jboypacman Never played this game but game but it was a non-adventure game and we were getting sick of them. Panic Dizzy was okay but annoying, Bubble Dizzy was dreadful so I imagine this is a disappointment as well. Codemasters were really starting to lose the plot with Dizzy at this point. Next up came Crystal Kingdom Dizzy, the first full priced Dizzy game =(
@Otouto72 This wasn't too bad as Dizzy games went. I quite liked it, not too easy but not too difficult. Bubble Dizzy + Panic Dizzy were ok but just a bit too frustrating! I got Dizzy Down the Rapids with the 'Dizzy's Excellent Adventures' big box set. I also had the 'Dizzy Collection' big box set. I think I had every Dizzy game going that was released for the Spectrum. They're still in the loft now along with the ZX Spectrum +, ZX Spectrum +3 and all the other games I had in 2 great big boxes!
@Otouto72 i think dizzy would need to be reinvented but he could even today in the world of gaming there's room for him but u will know when it's over for him when you get a dizzy cart game lol

@thegoon02 We do need a brand new Dizzy game and its creator the Oliver Twins have been trying for years but Codemasters have blocked them so many times. Why kill your mascot is completely beyond me? =S

@BobbyUK1979 Yeah this is really not the best Dizzy game out there, mediocre at best but the tune is very good and easily the best part of the game.

Hey it's Dizzy! I have a Dizzy game for the Sega Genesis but can't imagine what this game would be like compared to that one. Nice tune too.
