UPDATE: I tried running the program on my old Mac (PowerPC 10.3.9) and it wont read the Rock Band drums or Guitar Hero guitar or even open Pref360Control (v 0.07 or 0.08 from the System Preferences. The drums work perfectly fine on my XBox so I know its not the drums. (Unless the problem is in the Model #) .. It could possibly be the OSX?
Ok.. Ive been at this all day and cant seem to get the "XBox360Controllers" program to recognize RockBand Drum set. It recognizes my GuitarHero Guitar.. But not the RockBand Drumset. Im running 10.6.x and using Version 0.08 of "XBox360Controllers" (because any version after that wont read anything).. Im thinking if might just be the drumset.. Can you tell me what Model of RockBand drums you are using? If you look under the pads next to the Harmonix sticker you will see a series of numbers and..
..letters where the a screw attaches the red and yellow pads (underneath). There should be an EL or a QM at the end of the series. And if anybody else is having this problem, you should do the same to see if it might be the RockBand drum model.
I saw that some people are having the same issue. When you plug the usb DrumKit in, the light on the DrumKit shines for about a sec then shuts off.. And the "XBox360Controllers" program still says "No Devices"..
@fnk4ce Snow Leopard... I 'm staying with Tiger until I really need to upgrade for whatever reason. So many programs are glitchy (or don't work at all) in even regular Leopard I hear. The Alesis is pretty cool
Thanx a ton mate, I´ve been looking for the propper procedure to map the drums set to reason and you just make my day! next quest is to map the drum set for NI battery 3 cells running hosted by ableton live. I´l try with the same steps. Thanx again!
when I connect the battery to my mac, just a moment and flashes the light goes green. and the program you mention is not detected. What do you think happens? or do I have to buy a wireless battery. Thank you.
hey iv followed all your steps but the comp wont recognize the intrument! the little green light on the set stays lit for about 2 seconds then turns off so it it some kind of power problem???
I had my Rock band drums connected to my PC but when i switched to Mac i couldn't figure it out. Thanks a lot. I have been looking for something like this for months

Cool video... maybe no latency in person though but this videos audio is way off.
A midi drum set for $35... how cool is that? I don't think there is even a midi fader/knob controller for under $50.

Heh...I haven't been able to get my rockband kits working since I upgraded to Snow Leopard :( ...so I caved and bought an Alesis DM6 :D

I have the same problem as bchbm220.
The green light on the drum kit can be seen only for a few seconds and Pref360Control couldn't recognize the kit.
Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?
(or is my drum kit just broken?)

dont worry i used the newest driver which doesn't have drum support u need to get an older one with drum support
