I've spent about an hour listening to this song over and over and watching the beautiful video.. I am doing an art piece (watercolor) ,attempting to put the mood of this song down on art paper - quite a challenge. I am immersing myself in this song and visualizing.

I just remember laying back on the aircraft wing of a P-3 Orion in VP-30's hangar at NAS Jax listening to this song. I'll never forget it because a friend and I were repairing a fuel cell and we took a break and were groovin' to this mellow joint. I miss those days.
I stopped listening to most music in the 90's including what they call 'country' now. The 80's had some great music but the 60's and 70's paved the way for it. Greatest eras of all time for musicians were these 3 decades WHEN REAL MUSICIANS ROAMED THE EARTH!
Music and melody are the quinessential components for a song. This is a wonderful example of such, just one of many A-List songs that make the 80's the best decade of music ever. There will never be another 80's with great musicians.

Man, this song takes me back, when I used to bowl (league) this song was popular & the guy I was involved with was the captain of our team............He was ALSO the captian of MY heart....... We broke up. I used to see his mom @ BINGO all the time she'd ALWAYS speak to me & I'd ask how her son was. She had no bad feelings towards me. I don't go to that BINGO hall anymore, because I found a hall closer to where I live now.

Christ helped the sick, the leperous, the sex addicted, the whores, and all other kinds of dirty people I don't think we would cause him to throw up. You sound very confused and trying to make Jesus into some simpleton, his message was far more than "just be nice".
He might have something to say to those hate filled people though the Godhaters who need to attack any of His followers any chance they get.
Relax, it was a great song and video, and sherrylynn doesn't deserve to get attacked. Peace

@lateforthesky61 He is not santa claus,the toothfairy,or fairytales. He is reality and more scientific fact and reality than you can even count by number. The people saw Him and everything He did to perfectly match His claim as God and the Messiah. Yet most of all those people who saw Him when He lived on this planet earth still refused to believe and accept Him as their personal Savior. The problem is not that anybody cannot believe Him.

If anyone saves their life they will lose eternal life and have eternal damnation without a relationship together with God Himself. But anyone who loses their life for the Person Jesus Christ will have eternal life and most important with God Himself forever. The least person in heaven will be greater off in eternity than the richest high esteemed human ever live

You are absolutely right. This song is serioulsy under rated. I have always liked this song. The first time I heard this was on a crackling AM station while driving to my night job in the rain on a cold, lonely road...this song will always remind me of that...Thanx for the upload!!!

VHi just had a show on the top 100 hits of the 1980's. Where the heck was this pretty song? It was not even on teh list. The list VHi compiled had some of the most crap songs ever to be played on radio. This is such a nice song.

Sherrylynn70. A silly question. Do you have any cue about a song from the 80´s which was narrated more than singed.The guy was telling his terribly sad story, that his father had commited suicide etc,.Suddenly there was a sweet chorus.I know is to vague description, but unique.

Man, this song takes me back, when I used to bowl (league) this song was popular & the guy I was involved with was the captain of our team............He was ALSO the captian of MY heart....... We broke up. I used to see his mom @ BINGO all the time she'd ALWAYS speak to me & I'd ask how her son was. She had no bad feelings towards me. I don't go to that BINGO hall anymore, because I found a hall closer to where I live now.
