This creaton is the best I have seen of Rachel Luttrell and Beyond The Night. I have looked for a recording with Joel Goldsmith the writer, but haven't found any as yet.... I just realized this song after watching this episode from my whole series collection, not the first viewing, don't know why I missed this from a previous viewing ! This song has a real Celtic Flare which I am very much connected with....

Not only was this a well-written and wonderful scifi show, the talents of the cast are demonstrated here with Luttrell. There will never be another scifi show as great as the Stargate series, both SG-1 and Atlantis. Grateful for the upload and knew it to be unique when viewing. Glad I have the series.

@ralphyboy25 Yes, ALL of them. I have even bought them twice as gifts for others. This series actually saved me from depression and extended into buying the book episodes people have written. (This doesn't include SG-U which I just couldn't get into...) I miss it all and knew Joseph M wouldn't follow through with the"movie" he promised, the jerk.

@AtlantisStargate96 At first, I found Rodney McKay a little bit annoying. But by Season 3, I started seeing some redeeming values in his character. Beckett on the otherhand was always good, in either his human or his clone form. ;-)

@ralphyboy25 Season 5 "The Shrine" showcases the wonderful talent of David Hewlett - had me crying he was so great! The fact that they used his real-life sister as his sister in the series also said something for the great production of this show. Damn them!!!

@ralphyboy25 That is untrue because Rodney had a love interest since the second season when Lt. Cadmen and Rodney got suck up into a Dart and when Rodney was reanimated the Lt was in his head.

( f r e e c l y d e d o t c o m ) and search for 'Beyond the Night' - you will see that when they recorded this, they actually had to ask her to not sing it so well. It turns out she has a very pristine and accomplished voice, that was "too good" (too much clarity) for her 'Athosian' character. It makes you wonder what her real voice sounds like, when she is not 'holding back'.

@silverfireUK yeah the song its self is from critical mass but this whole video is not. i cut clips from other eposodes and put them in the spots ware it showed people talking & 00:45 is a fight that was not in critical mass it was from the siege pt 2. this video i think is better because i took out all the talking. i think. and the scean before the fight ware teyla was ingered was from "sunday". & TY fro watching.

Agreed. I thought the way that the shot of the 2 Wraith ships coming into orbit over the planet was matched to the sudden inclusion of drums into the song was beautifully done, as was the entire sequence of the team frantically trying to discover the traitor, get the code and stop the city from exploding, intercut with the funeral scenes.

Actually, there are. As part of the sabotage plan, as well as the 'bomb', a distress call is sent out, attracting the attention of two Wraith cruisers. The team has to make them think it was from debris from the destruction of Atlantis and get the city cloaked, at the same time as stopping the ZPM from overloading and blowing it up.

@Saiurie As part of the Trust's plan, a distress signal is sent out from Atlantis, attracting the attention of 2 Wraith cruisers, to add to the team's problems. They don't actually attack the city, as the team manages to trick them, but the shot of the cruisers approaching orbit is used during this song.

Rachel was on broadway for a while in the cast of Beauty and the Beast. When she rehearsed this song, she had a very strong vibrato, but the director wanted a more smooth sound for the song. So yes she did have a past singing career. On Broadway!!

The beginning of this song suggests to Vangelis-L'enfant (from the film: A Year of Living Dangerously), but I like Rachel's song and this film. I think it is so much better than SG1. Ronon, Teyla, Rodney and J. Sheppard just like big family for the sake of their pectoral relationships between each other. I know, this film is only a TV series, not a big movie for cinemas, that's why it has it's limits, but it has a special emotional elation, what emphasizes from the other SG series. I MISS IT!
