Does the vocal surgery increase the high end of your range to like a female range? or does it just raise your comfortable speaking pitch? I'm wondering what kind of limits I would have in terms of singing if I were to get this kind of surgery.
@Kojitsu Good question, the surgery is designed to remove the bottom end of your vocal range. It should not increase your high end but make it easier to stay in the female range. When it comes to singing, I have no idea but I would have thought that some good couching would not go a miss. I hope that helps :) x
I had this done yesterday.i'm finding it really hard to swallow.I didn't take any painkillers.I got sent home today with antibiotics.I hope it's going to get better.
@RACHELTAYLOR7 Hi Rachel, I hope that you are doing well and that the recovery is going well. No painkillers? wow, your hard core :) Best advice I can give is to not speak, even if you think it won't hurt to speak a little. Please do let me know how you get on xXx
@misskatierose I feel a lot better now. It's much easier to swallow now.I'm really pleased with the result.I had years of speech therapy with Christella Antoni and Mathew Mills and although my voice was okay i had a lot of problems on the phone which used to get me down.Have to go back on the 25th to get my voice checked by Mathew.
@Closeyoureyesandjump Hey, yes I did have it done through the NHS and yes the NHS have provided breast augmentation before now but I suspect that there will be a lot of change over the coming years because of the government cut backs and it will also depend on what your pct policies are. I hope that helps, Katie xXx
@jesscaralsen From what I understand there are a few different procedures that they can do. I had a Cricothyroid approximation and yes, there is still a lot of speech therapy to do :) xXx
@lpfix2007 Thanks for the tip, I now know that I have to let it rest a lot before I start to push myself as I over did it yesterday lol. Take Care Katie xXx
@JessicaRGray Thanks Jess, I can't take the credit for space cake, I think it was my sister that I heard say it first, I hope that you got my message :) xXx

Your voice does sound more high pitch but you still have low resonance.. the resonance is the easiest to fix.. youll be a superstar!!!
especially let the swelling go down!! good luck
