It is...and it's something that we horsepeople need to start thinking about. How do we make our "horse keeping" arrangements more conscious, more eco-friendly? I'm enjoying the inquiry! As horsepersons, we are close to Nature and can begin to initiate the new awareness for an environmentally congruent Planet. Thanks!

Lack of mechanisation is, I think an important factor you have hit upon. I see connections in what you are saying in this video between permaculture (based on ecological principles) and Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling's approach to horses.
