I seen sid the other day in west memphis. Got to talkin to him and he broke a sweat just standing there. He's a weird one.

i didnt like because sid could not beat hbk even long time before when shawn michaels was intercontinental champion always sid loose against hbk, but in this championship match hbk may be was little careless or gave to the championship belt to sid even sid could never be champion even he tried to win against diesel but even than he always looses against diesel in this match he also cheated but even than i think hbk should not loose it but he looses i just dont like it at all.

MAN OH MAN. I was so happy to see Michaels lose this match. I never cared for him. I remember the first time I saw this match. I must have been about 10. I remembered when he hit the powerbomb I was like "YES! POWERBOMB! PIN HIM, PIN HIM, PIN HIM!!!" Great match. Better ending.

Fact: People love Sid. I love HBK too, but Sid had one thing Michaels didn't until he was in his 40's-- Sid wasn't a dickhole in real life. JR was like. 'Please don't fire me if I point out the obvious fact that only like 3 people in attendance are Michaels fans.'

Does anyone know who the guy with Sid is at 29:45, this guy was the at so many WWF shows during the late 90's it was incredible, he was obviously well know by the wrestlers, he would be what the sign guy, the Pink & Neon green couple, and the Cena hater guy are today.

@H28L His name is Vladimir and yes he was well known amongst the wrestlers, the pink and Neon green couple were friends of Owen Hart, they befriended him after Wrestlemania 8 and Owen would always stay at their house whenever he was wrestling in their area.

actually this was supposed to be hbk vs ultimate warrior. but warrior was fired in summer 1996, sid was called up to replace him. sid beat vader in the previous ppv to survivor series in a number 1 contender match. but it was supposed to be warrior vs vader. royal rumble 1997 was then to be: warrior losing his wwf title to hbk in san antonia. wrestlemania 13 actually had 2 plans for the wwf title before using sid vs taker. hbk vs bret, then warrior vs taker

@ericwaffle31 Actually Cornette recently did a shoot on the Year of 1997 on the WWF. One thing he mentions is that the original plan for the WWF Title from '96 to '97 was Shawn over Vader at Summerslam, Vader over Shawn at Survivor Series, and then Shawn winning it back in his hometown at the Royal Rumble. Well, Shawn got pissy about Vader working so stiff with him, which was nothing more than Vader being Vader, so that got nixed in favor of Sid winning the title.

There was also a plan for Vader to rough up Jose Lothario with Shawn being distraught (like when Mick passes away before Rocky fights Clubber Lang in Rocky III) that never materialized thanks to Vader getting turfed from the angle.

@SnakeEyes18 wow cool. i stand corrected lol. thats cool to learn about the true history of pro wrestling. i didnt realize that vader was supposed to win the title. but it still seems like vince would never have let vader win the wwf title anyways cause he hardly ever lets former nwa/wcw world champs win his. which is stupid. the list goes on.....vader, ddp, booker t (won whc but never wwe title), luger, harley race, dusty rhodes. this is why sting never went to wwe. wish vader won.
