  • @truebassB

    Thank you!

  • what i like about this vid is he didnt just hammer the throttle like most idiots would, he has a fine touch. :)

  • @GTOXJ

    lol Thank you!

  • sounds good...i had a 96 cherokee witht the 4.0 and had a combo of magnaflow high flow cat & a flowmaster 40 series & no header...sounded damn good at idle to around 2500 rpm's...after that it started sounding ricey...i might have to go with your combo after i get the 4.0 to 5.0 stroker kit...ill have videos up before during and after i get done with my build...8 inch lift Skyjacker long arm, 35's, pro comp wheels, warn 9500 winch, stroker kit and front and rear chromoly dana 44's with detroits

  • Sent you an email thru craigslist I tried to text that number you had listed but no good. I'm interested in jeep

  • Nice, sounds good! i have a 94 cherokee with 2.5 inch piping all the way, no cat, a flowmaster super 40 muffler 3 inch tip, AFe stage 2 cold air intake. will it sounds and perform better if i put the headers? gale banks ones? let me know

    thanks

  • i have 2001 JEEP GRand cherokee4.0L i am putting on a flowmaster super 44, what else can i do 2 it 2 give it that growl u have like a v8..

  • so you replaced the gibson muffler in the cat back kit with a flowmaster super 40?

  • As that system cost you escape?

  • can you post a walk-around of your jeep? ^^

  • are those street tires? if yes ima get some for mine

  • @GTOXJ

Yes, they are Toyo Proxes S/T

  • @GTOXJ

Yes they are. Toyo Proxes S/T

  • ok what is this system how do i get it love the throaty sound i have a 99 classic

  • how much did that cost just for the exhaust?

  • Best sounding XJ I have ever heard.

  • thats the hottest jeep cherokee sound iv ever heard !!!

  • ok i have a lifted jeep cherokee, where can i buy this exhaust system

  • best sounding jeep i have ever heard, what a difference headers make.

  • Have you noticed any economy improvements with or after the mods or has it got worse? :-D

  • That does sound very good.

  • sounds good man, did u just put in a header or did u redo the whole exhaust system?

  • The Corporate 8.25 and the Chrysler 8.25 are the same axle, guys.

  • impressive sound!!

  • you need to put for videos up of this jeep!! like on the road. you should add the throttle body spacer and high performance plugs thats about $150 for 30hp!

  • @willcraigle your an idiot

  • that is sick

  • sounds sick for a v6

  • water pump exhaust lol

  • i have a 96 inline6 4.0l i would love mine to sound like that

  • Ok i am confused. In your description you have three exhaust systems listed.

The Gibson cat back, the Angelus SS Dual exhaust, and the flowmaster super 40. What is your setup in this video? you cant have three full exhaust systems. Unless you took parts from other vehicles and pieced it all together. let me know because I like the sound and would like similar sound from my wj

  • great sound!!

  • wow that sounds so good, how much did the exhaust system run u, and how do u think it would sound with the stock header

  • im thinking about doing a Vforce muffler on my grand cherokee. take a look at my vids of my siren and tell me what you think

  • V8 or I6?

  • DAMN! that sounds SWEET!

  • Comment removed

  • more vids

  • would love to here and interior of this system. Sounds nice outside.

  • so let me get this you dont have a Flowmaster but a Gibsone Muffler?

  • those straight 6ers really have a good unique sound especialy around 2200 sounds almost like a the I6s in big rigs

  • so what did all this run you? i have a 98 and would love orit to sound like yours. could you have split the exhaust so it comes out on oposite sides o bumper?

  • man that sounds good as fuck. im gettin flowmaster super 40's on my 01 jeep cherokee 4.0 tommorow, i hope it will sound that good.

  • I have a 00 Grand Cherokee. I was wondering what kind of rear end do I have? Is it the same as the 00 Jeep Cherokee's?

  • @IROCwarriorAMC88

My Front Axle is a Dana 30/181MM and my Rear Axle is a Corporate 8.25.

  • @Ghetto2315

Actually you have a Chrysler 8.25 29 Spline

  • @xjrev10

I just copied and pasted whatever my Build Sheet said that was sent to me by Jeep. Are you saying Jeep made an error?

  • @Ghetto2315

    Chrysler owns Jeep.

Corporate = Chrysler on build sheets.

  • @Ghetto2315 IROCwarriorAMC88 was asking what kind of rear end he had in his stock 2000 cherokee, not what you have in yours.

  • @Ghetto2315 : Jeep made an error, yes. It is the Chysler 8.25 29 Spline. It is almost equilvilant to the Dana 44.

  • @IROCwarriorAMC88 I have a 03 Grand Cherokee larado. It has a dana 35 rear axle with 3.55 gears. My front axle is a dana 30 and im not sure of the gears. You more than likely have that same set up. Look on the rear diff and there should be 2 tags. that will tell you the gears and just call any jeep dealership and they should be able to look that up free of charge

  • Nice sound

  • ahh my man! im exit 120! that drive its nothing! i bought my jeep at Bulher on 36

  • @LouisF56

Very cool that you're local to me!

At least if somebody else doubts me on here on YouTube, you may be able to vouch for me if you ever see my Jeep in person.

  • Also.. i need to ask you.. what did you do about the O2 sensors in the stock exhaust piping.. i know there are 4 and you seemed to have replaced the whole exhaust system. whatd you do about them

  • @LouisF56

From what I recall, I left the stock O2 sensors alone. I could be wrong though... I need to do some thinking. It's been awhile

  • hey hows it sound on the inside? Is it too loud? im thinking about just doing a flowmaster 40 series muffler and keeping the rest stock. how would that sound?

  • @tripovermyego

It's not bad inside at all. Slight droning noise, but nothing annoying. The FM 40 muffler is going to give you the biggest sound difference so it'll definitely sound better than stock. Go for it if you're budget is limited.

  • Hey ghetto 2315.. i would just like to say this sounds fucking nasty, i would love to get my I6 grand cherokee sounding like this bad boy. What part of jersey are you from.

  • @LouisF56

Thank you... I live on the Jersey Shore. If you're familiar with the Garden State Parkway, it's Exit 109.

  • soundz sick!

  • im putting theese on my nissan rouge

  • this sure doesnt sound like the i6. weird

  • @whatthehallbetch

I promise you it is. Any one in the state of NJ that can come by and verify this? I'd love to prove it.

  • dont worry man, im not doubting you. if you say its an inline 6, i believe you. im just saying that it sounds more like a V6. its probably just my ears

  • if this is a V6 as u say it has the deepest sounding exhaust i have ever heard from one. Great Job

  • I promise you it is. If you're ever in NJ, I'd prove it to you in person

  • @kylespeed24 its not a "V6" The jeep 4.0L is a Inline six and a PROPERLY tuned Inline six can put out as much power as a V8 the problem is almost no body knows how to tune them, not even the few companies who make them. before a spectaular crash a few years back I had a cherokee with the 4.0L motor that could run a 11 flat in a quarter mile

  • what tune are you talkin about? I have an 01 XJ and i read stock specs are 190hp/220tq and i'm looking to get like around 225+/250+. I ordered a high flow intake and throttle body spacer, next is a flowmaster 2.5". I'm really interested to hear your response.. what were the bolt on specs of yours? N/A or forced..?

  • @m1brett

I am N/A. FI is my next modification. The tune I am talking about is the Superchips Flashpaq 3875 Super Tuner. It is a hand held tuner. It does well to tie in all the mods you have done.

  • have you ever ran it in a 1/4

  • No, I haven't

  • Wow ghetto, best sounding Cherokee. Good job, 5 star for a fellow Cherokee owner.. Check out my street xj!!

  • Thank you!

  • what all did u do to the jeep

  • Yea this is def a v8

  • @WareMTB24

    No, it is a 4.0L Inline-6

  • how much would this cost me

  • Even catbacked 4.0s sound pretty good, and this guy has a lot more done than just a catback.

    Very nice sounding Jeep.

  • that is the best sounding jeep i have heard well done

  • @Fearingme

    Thank you!

  • Sounds great man, gives me an erection LOL!!

  • i got a 2005 jeep grand cherokee and didnt put no cat on it and its a 40 series but i didnt rev it and im gonna put a video on for it and im gettin some new cats and i already got the 2 inch lift suspension!!!!

  • i dont think jeep cherokee's have racing stripes

  • @imToTs

    That's why you shouldn't think

  • sounds cammed. love a 40 series.

  • I sent you a message about your exhaust. Sounds good!

  • nice sound to it. im getting a jeep next summer and im looking for a used one in the $4000-$8000 range. i plan to do work on it to. what do you suggest?

  • Message me

  • @Ghetto2315 so did you cut the cat off or is it still there and just piped out the back after the 40 series

  • I want a exhaust system on my 2000 jeep wrangler sport 4.0L.. but am not sure what to go with. Any suggestions.

  • Message me

  • So you left the stock Cat on there or what did you use in combination with the Headers and Flowmaster... if you removed the cat completely where did you get the O2 Simulator?

  • I left the stock cat on there. The XJ cat is pretty free-flowing already. Plus, NJ Inspection where I live is complicated and I don't want to mess with the emissions

  • nice sound i have an 02 cherokee 4L i have a thrush glasspack on it and i never could get tire with that sound it also has a few other high performance parts on and its extreamly loud

  • beautiful

  • how much?

  • nice... sounds really good

  • Thank you!

  • so did you just buy the gibson cat-back system and attach the dual exhaust tip to that?

  • Originally purchased the 2.5" Gibson Stainless Steel Catback. Ultimately got tired of the sound, then switched out the Gibson Muffler for the Flowmaster Super 40 Muffler. Obviously, the Banks Header made a difference as well.

  • i thought the gibson exhaust is all welded, did u have to cut off their muffler to put the Flowmaster Super 40-Series Muffler on? or am i wrong and it is easily detached. I am wondering cuz i wanted to do the same thing to my 00' jeep cherokee sport, im getting a 4.5" lift on it soon and i wanted it to sound as beastly as its gonna look

  • It is welded. It was professionally cut to have the FM Super 40 welded in it's place.

  • You should run high flow.

Mine sounds identical to yours at idle and low rpms and all I have on mine is an Original 40 which I bought off CL for $30. Everything else exhaust wise is stock.

But I could get a good set of headers and it'd sound identical. Nice set up man! Sounds great!! Wish I had the money to spend on a nice exhaust set up.. haha

  • You won't need a "set" of headers for the 4.0 liter. Just one will do the job. Any more is just overkill.

  • you ever flipped your jeep??

i went on 2 wheels the other day haha

    i have a 04 grand cheerokke

  • i went on three..you win

im gonna try to go on 2 right now!

    Later

    <3

  • one more question do u have a catalytic converter on in this video?

  • Yes, stock cat

  • Can you tell me what dunlop tires you have ???

  • I don't have Dunlop tires. I am running Toyo Proxes S/T tires in 255/60/17

  • is that Gibson or Flowmaster muffler? ur info up top says u have both!

  • The muffler is a Flowmaster. I replaced the Gibson muffler with it. The 2.5" SS piping is from Gibson.

  • that jeep looks nice can we see the rest of it

  • Yes, you can. YouTube won't let me post a link, but if you go to CarDomain, you can search my username: Ghetto2315

    Thank you for your interest!

  • love the sound, mine is not as deep as yours but i have the factory header. who is that at the end of the vid walking towards the drivers door? looks like a cop.

  • haha no it wasn't a cop. It was my father wondering why I was making all that ruckus...

  • i got the same exhaust on my jeep its an 89 Cherokee

  • hey i have right now a 1992 jeep cherokee laredo. i woul like to know what all you did to your jeep and how much it cost. if you could send back a message i would be very grateful. and dude that is the sickest 4.0 i ever heard

  • Sounds like a damn cummins mixed with a gasser v6.

  • nice 4.0 very solid motors, will last you forever if you keep em oiled.

  • hey i have a 2001 jeep cherokee 4.0.how much did it all cost cause i wanna make it sound the exact same.......and to think about it..thats a I-6 4.0..thats a beast!

  • dude nice thats bad ass.

  • i have a 2001 cherokee 4.0...and it has a flowmaster straight pipe..i want my jeep to sound exactly like this..how much did it all cost?...that sounds crazy for an I-6

  • was this expensive to do? i just got a cherokee and want this sound

  • OMG A BEAST :D:D

  • how much did all that cost if you don't mind me asking

  • insane XJ!

  • sounds like a v8!

  • Exactly what kind of exhaust is this?

  • Awesome! I have the same exact Jeep, color and everything. I hope my Flowmaster 40 sounds as good when its all broken in.

  • does it have a catalytic converter? i have a 97 and want to put on a 40 series but my shitty cat converters must have some broken baffles becasue it rattles and im thinkin bout ditching the converter and goin with straight flowmaster

  • Best sounding 4.0 I have heard yet

  • You should hear it in person...

  • I'm with monkey, sounds insane man good work.

  • wish i had the 4L... all i have is a 2.5L 97 cherokee lol. Though i just put a new OEM Coil, Iridium spark plugs, and Bosh Wires.... oh wait... thats my work vehicle lol. I have a Rx-7 FD twin turbo want to race?

  • i just changed the tip on mine and instantly the note changed

  • sounds amazing i really wanna put new headers on mine i got the typical stock header crack... and its ten years old...

    i hate rust dude...

  • very nice song !

  • This sir, is being marked as one of my favorites. How many miles are on the engine?

  • Thank you!

She currently has 30,764 miles on the odo. Not bad for a 9-year old Jeep

  • Wow, that's awesome for a 9 year old Jeep, no doubt. Do you have a CarDomain page perhaps?

  • Yeah I do, but for some reason YouTube won't let me post it...

  • Go to the CarDomain website and search my username: Ghetto2315

  • Delta Flow by any chance?

  • Nope

  • Nice, I just got a 99 Cherokee Sport and plan on doing the exhaust on it. Just to get a little more power and maybe a few more MPG.

  • i fucking love the rattle sound..exhaust !! rrallrarlal thats the flowmaster 40???

  • Yes Sir... and Thank you

  • This might sound ignorant but are you running both gibson and a flowmaster mufflers?

  • lol no, just the Flowmaster

  • Sorry to bother you I just misunderstood. I am about to buy a 2000 sort 4x4 model. What mods do you recommend? I want to lift it but I don't want to sacrifice street ability. Also for power mods , what do you recommend?

  • TB Space does something barely though, I think it dyno'd something around 2hp @ 5250 RPM and .5 MPG. Helical atomization is just a BS gimmick, you are delusional if you can feel a large SOTP increase from that. Our engines are great but saying they are really responsive to mods is laughable. LS1's are respnosive considering going from just a Y setup to an X or H pipe gives around 30 HP thats reponsive we don't even gain that much with headers...

  • I've seen dyno results with barely a HP increase, but my point exactly... "you are delusional if you can feel a large SOTP increase from that."

  • you guys are soft. It's a well known fact that 4.0 can accept the right mods and increase reliability, AND that from the factory, it is in a low state of tune, running lean and hot for power and flow, instead of having 4 valves per cylinder. It's a fact that it comes in a low state of tune, and is easy to make small block power from it with the RIGHT mods, not what you ass-clowns consider mods. you can't throw a helix on a jeep, and shouldnt on anything. You need a hesco or dead smooth

  • You really are a "shitbag". Who in the hell said that the 4.0L isn't responsive to mods? We literally stated that a TB Spacer, as a mod itself, does minimal, if anything, to increase performance. Read your last comment. YOU were ranting about the TB Spacer and how that "mod" makes you feel the performance through the pedals. haha you're the ass clown. I'm approving your comments to show everyone you type with your ass and not with your head.

  • do a rustys throttle body spacer and and air tube with a new muffler and you can feel the difference trust me i got about 10 horse increase from it all for under 200 bucks

  • I just bought the rusty's performance pkg. waiting for delivery......

  • toull be happy with it man i put that on mine nice sound better mileage the the throttle body spacer makes a cool whooshy niose lol

  • 30 hp from a x or h setup ?!!!!! i actually LOST POWER when i did that,

  • saying a throttle body spacer does nothing is an insult to this motor, and its super ability to accept mods and perform more, jesus man, u need to go to church, the jeep gods are not liking you

  • I'll say it AGAIN. A TB Spacer does NOTHING. Tell me, what good does a Spacer do on a stock TB? Please answer that. I've been part of the Jeep community probably longer than you have been alive. I am a Jeep God and I frown upon your senseless comment...

  • saying that a throttle body spacer does nothing is one of the worst things I have ever heard,an true insult to a Jeep. the str8six, loves a spacer, and a flowbench proves it,if you couldnt feel it in the pedal if u got one, u should never drive a jeep anyways

  • Your username is very fitting...

  • hey this is a dumb question i think i know the answer but is that a V8 or I6? Because i have a 2000 jeep cherokee Inline 6 and i am looking for exhausts that can give me as close to a muscly sound on my jeep, since i have no V8s only my I6 Cherokee and my moms V6 van. I plan on buying a V8 for my next car though, and eventually a 77 Trans Am. if you could help solve this better exhaust problem it would sure mean a lot to me. thanks.

  • No Jeep Cherokee (XJ) came with a V8, thus mine is a I-6 4.0L. A 2.5L 4-Banger was available on XJ's as well, but not many.

  • Thats what i thought a couple of people said Jeeps that were like 2000, 97, 98, etc. came as a V8 but i didnt think so. also nice exhaust did you do anything else to the car to give it that sound, or just putting an aftermarket exhaust on? If so, please let me know what u changed cause i might buy this for my I6 cherokee too its a nice pipe.

  • i found this exhaust for 74 bucks!! awesome.

  • nice sound:) I do like it :P

  • What kinda Exhaust do you got on this sucker?

  • fuckin great sound

  • straght 6 or v8?

  • Straight-6 / 4.0L

  • That throttle body, is it a spacer, or the whole throttle body?
