The legend says that if anyone but the true, legitimate king puts the crown on his head, he will die within a year. It has never been proved Heydrich actually did put the crown on his head.
In this film, the agents killed dozens of German troops in the church when in fact they only wounded a few with a grenade, and none of the agents inside the church were killed by the Germans, but took their own lives, along with the ones in the crypt. Also, the Germans attempt to flood the crypt failed and did not rise high at all.
Germany lost the war but was one war vs Rusia , USA , GB , french , Poland , BTW

There is a good book published years ago titled "The Killing of SS Obergruppenfuher Reinhard Heydrick"by Callum MacDonald that I read back in the 1980's. I never knew a movie was made on this.
I saw the movie for the first time on the Military Channel, but they disgusted me when they cut out the ending credits when they show the characters and what became of them in real life. They crunched it to the side going at a supper fast rate just so they can cram more commercials!
This situation is far better depicted in Czech film "ATENTÁT" (1964), cf. here: watch?v=e4hlURkFA5Y (from 7:21).
Unlike this film, scenes in the "Atentát" were filmed on authentic locations - around the chateau in Panenské Břežany (Central Bohemia) where Heydrich had its seat and in Kobylisy, northern quarter of Prague. Also actions of Gabčík and Kubiš are more credible showed there.
For the history buffs, the grenade shown in the movie is a Mk 2 - an American grenade. The actual grenade used was a Gammon bomb. And the original recommendation was that the assassins use .38 Super Colt M1911, as the pistol was reliable, and the round was accurate and could penetrate automobile bodies. They chose to use a Sten Gun instead.
Heydrich got what he deserved. But he had no protection besides his sidearm and that of his driver, Klein. He never traveled with a protective convoy Though certainly evil, Heydrich was an insanely brave, even reckless man who flew combat missions on the Eastern Front despite his exalted rank and possession of secrets Stopping the car so that he could go after his assailants was absolute madness.

The movie is not showing how the attentat happened. Sorry. The street corner was somewhere else. You can see that true spot in other movies. Also Heydrich did not have a motorcade escort. Heydrich just didn't have one for such trips because he didn't like it. Also the driver wasn't stopped. The driver was told to stop the car when Heydrich saw the man pulling out his sten gun out of a leather briefcase and when it failed to shoot. Because Heydrich wanted to shoot him down himself.

This happened on the 27th of May. This is not a warm spring day in the movie . And loads of other mistakes in interpretation of history. Anyway these men are heroes, definitely.

@CrzayMazy He was using a British-supplied Sten gun. These were notorious for jamming, but were cheap to mass-produce and widely distributed to the European Resistance. The gun jammed. The scene is pretty accurate to history.

I don't know what happened historically, but if you hold a Sten gun by the magazine, as the character does here, it's almost bound to jam.
This is an excellent film, which I can watch repeatedly.

1. The attack took place next to some trees, not buildings.
2. The look-out man used a mirror, not a cigarette
3. Heydrich's car did not stop completely
4. Kubis threw a modified anti tank grenade, not the type seen here.
5. The grenade exploded in the gutter, not inside the car.
6. Kubis was himself wounded in the face by shrapnel.
Apart from that, okay ! :)
