We had the pleasure of seeing Johnny Earl fronting the Jordanaires at a show in Catford London. You said he is 'no' Elvis impersonator? - he was the night we saw him. However, that was not a bad thing, the show was excellent. He's multi-talented and did 'brief' impersonations of a few other guys too, including the late and great Billy Fury. Not Elvis... He is definitely imitating Elvis...and it sounds a lot like him...but definitely there are several notes that don't sound like Elvis at all if you listen closely. Believe me if Elvis sang it, it would be a whole lot cooler ;)

I saw Johnny Earle in concert about 15 years ago....he was WONERFUL! He had the Jordanaires backing him and was wearing Elvis's green army jacket. When he sang "Don't" you could have closed your eyes and you'd have thought it was Elvis upon the stage.
