Screen is too small. It´s just 3.1 inch I guess...If you had the htc touch hd, omnia hd, Iphone or even the Samsung Galaxy (which has only a 3.2 inch screen), the Pre would be a step back. The HTC HD2 is coming out and it has 4.3" screen, very nice for videos, alot of space to place your apps, etc. If it wouldn't run on win mobile i'd get it. The perfedct phone still has to be invented....

I'm glad to see that there's actually a real rival to the iPhone. I must admit that WebOS has something that us iPhone users could just dream of. It's nothing like the iPhone, hence why they are not focused on Apps AT ALL. The Pre doesn't use third party apps as a crutch to make up for it's flaws, it's already a solid phone without them. In addition to that the OS is open source, So it's wide open for all types of developers. And you can download the programs without violating the warranty. I actually switched from AT&T to buy a Pre and I'm glad I made the switch.

call me nitpicky but I don't really like the fact that the corners are rounded even when playing videos. it matches the theme and all but when I watch a video I like seeing 100% of the video, no matter how insignificant the missing portion is (I guess I'm a little OCD like that)

Depends on what you do, the phone runs fast with many things running. However if you have a whole lot of things running it will run slower. Takes a tad bit of managing on the owners part, but the phone lets you multitask many of things without slowdowns.
yeah - i just got super annoyed by the lack of multi apps on my new iPhone. After 2 days and trying to like it - I just packed it up and I'm returning it. The battery on all new smartphones run out fast. The batteries haven't caught up with the multi-functions of the devices.
Adjust your settings on brightness, wifi, etc. to lengthen it but still will be pretty quick to run out if using lightly without a charge.
There is a spare battery charger for the Pre though which I plan to get along with a standard battery so I can just keep swapping out.

AT&T has the same thing but i believe they add an extra $30 dollars per month for Data services if you have like an iPhone or Blackberry, which I think is stupid because the plan has that already.

Why does everybody compare new phones to the iphone? just because it was really cool doesnt mean you have to compare everything to it. Palm is a completely different brand than Apple and deserves its own thunder.

fanboi too much? not enough apps is the problem of their advertisement. I mean I didn't know that a phone like this existed until today. It's OS is very smooth and if it proves to be not too expensive and it's battery can last at least 2 days I would really consider getting this. Don't get me wrong iPhone is awesome I'm still waiting for 3GS, but the point is you know about iPhone because adds are everywhere, Apple knows how to sell their products. peace

apple is going to release a new iphone, and palm will be screwed. june 7th is the announcement (keynote at developers conference) look it up on apples website yourself.

June 8 actually, is the day of the keynote. And most of the iPhone OS 3.0's features have been revealed already anyway. The most we're sitting on is simply the form factor and improvements to the iPhone's camera, memory size, and the addition of video recording. Palm will be screwed? We'll see. It's best we have competitors like this to keep Apple on their toes.
