yeah anyone who i've talked to that has met HBK has said that he was really polite. he odviously recognized the guy and had already signed his autograph before. the fact that HBK was getting out of a vehical when the guy walked up to him probably means the guy followed him too.
There are times when it's appropriate to ask for an autograph and times when it's not. This is an example of what happens when you act like a dick and approach a famous person during their private time. He wanted to go to the gym or in his hotel or something. He looked tired, probably just arrived from an event, and wanted private time.
The thing is a lot of these autograph seekers are just sports vendors getting autographs to sell to fans. I go by the mall and the sports guys there have tons of autographed pictures for sale. This is an older guy---not like a 10 year old or something---and is most likely getting multiple autographs just to sell them. Shawn said "Already did it..." indicating he already signed an autograph for the guy.

There are times when it's appropriate to ask for an autograph and times when it's not. This is an example of what happens when you act like a dick and approach a famous person during their private time. He wanted to go to the gym or in his hotel or something. He looked tired, probably just arrived from an event, and wanted private time.

The thing is a lot of these autograph seekers are just sports vendors getting autographs to sell to fans. I go by the mall and the sports guys there have tons of autographed pictures for sale. This is an older guy---not like a 10 year old or something---and is most likely getting multiple autographs just to sell them. Shawn said "Already did it..." indicating he already signed an autograph for the guy.

maybe he already did an autograph signing and was tired from it. or, he already gave the dude an autograph... but the fact remains that regardless he was polite about it and didn't get snippy like most would.
HBK is a wrestler on TV, and at live events. when he's in public he's just michael hickenbottom, just like you or I and probably wouldn't want to be constantly hounded by fans.

Shawn did nothing wrong.When the guy is on the clock he should spend time and do what he can for people. But this was by the looks of it when arriving back at his hotel. (Did it look to anyone else like he was walking funny? perhaps his back was playing up and he needed to get inside to rest?) If he'd finished for the day, then it's fair to say he should be left in peace.If I walked out of work and found one of my clients outside my house asking me to sign stuff I'd say a lot more than he did!
