I completely agree with you...I think it would be much better to just include some heavier women in a regular dating show, kinda like tyra did on ANTM :)
you have a point! why does it matter what their height and weight was? it makes no sense. all that matters is that they are plus sized looking for love. thats all. i never even watched a single episode of that show but i vaguely remember it now that you are speaking about it.
If it bothers you so much, why watch it? The producers are clearly going for something controversial to get viewers. Why fall into that trap? I don't even watch TV anymore. I wouldn't even have a TV except I that use it for movies.
What I don't get is why the "bachelor" has to be an overweight guy. There are plenty of guys like me who are more physically attracted to women who are full-figured. I work out 3 times a week to stay in shape, but that has nothing to do with what I look for in a woman.
Thank you for using your ePopularity to bring this show less viewers. The idea of somebody picking their love based upon their weight makes me want to hit something.
the girls seemed desperate and based there worth on this man accepting them.I love to go out and go up to one plus sized girl and tell them they are very beautiful.Sometimes i ask them if they think their beautiful its 50 50 but yes they are beautiful.Feel good about yourselves ladies, stop trying to obtain un achivable goals that just depress you more.Spend time on your selves.Shape that larger body that you should be proud of.
The bachelor dude's a douchebag, total sleazeball. And the girls are way too desperate, like they're some kind of freaks. They were all better looking than that dude. They can all do better.
none of the women on More To Love are size 14-16 or the 'average-size' woman. these are BIG girls, which is fine. what isn't fine is that most of these women are so emotionally scarred & they aren't okay with their OWN weight. nearly every interview finds the woman in tears because she has never had a date, boyfriend or relationship. this show is so painful to watch mostly because the women haven't embraced who they are.
I dunno why some of the gals were so worried about them being judged about their size. I guess because i love women this size, women like you. I cannot stop watching the show. I just wish more bigger gals would realize how beautifull they are. Guys like me love women like that and when i show interest they have this huge wall up, like theyre in disbelief.
The guy behind The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Mike Fleiss created this show. On the surface I love watching a reality program where the women look like me. The women on this show are gorgeous. I just don't appreciate the pity party. I watch the Bachelor so I know how these women get when faced with the overwhelming competition, but when the focus is based on weight and their only value comes at the hands of a man they barely know then I have a big issue with it.
They seem to have low self esteems and put the value of who they on the man, not celebrating who they are and who they have become. beautiful smart women.
They need to show the girls weight if well its obvious she is overweight, dont need to point out how much. Then there is the whole part where the girls have such a need to be accepted by this one guy. I mean there are twenty girls for him to choose from and he wants one. It is hard to be rejected but they need to know they are beautiful and its not because they are ugly that he sends them home, he is just more attracted to someone else.
I watched this show with my mother. We are both larger women. I did also enjoy the overall idea of the show. Showing that larger people can make it to television. I noticed pretty much the same things.
the show is kind of entertaining to me since i'm "plus size" but the one chick named heather and her damn crying is so annoying. i like scream at the tv everytime she starts bawling
My only criticism of MTL is that many of the women seem desperate. I hope Heather wins, she's the hottest and seems pretty cool. I wouldn't analyse these shows too much. Just enjoy big beautiful women[which I must say you certainly are Autumnsmagic]! Cheers y'all!
The show is much like other reality shows where they are designed to humiliate people. This show is no exception. They aren't concerned with these women, they are only concerned with ratings, unfortunate but that sadly, is reality...they like to put their height and weight up because it's more sensational, however despicable.
i totally agrre with you do you know how embarassing that would be to have your weight posted to the world it is supposed to make us exceptable to society not a target !! they treat us plus size women as if we are not human when in my opinion ONLY DOGS LIKE BONES !!
While I agree that it's infuriating to see women consistently depicted on TV as size two bimbos, I am even more angered that it seems as women we are given two options. A-Size 2, B-Fat. Neither of which are healthy lifestyles. What about eating well and getting some exercise and being a HEALTHY bodyweight. Which falls within the 8-12 size range for most women, height, age and genetics dependent. It's like your choices are starve and be skinny, or eat everything in sight and embrace your "curves".
It's called being self-centered & shallow!!!! Big momma better off leaving him @ the gym!!! She needs a real man not 1 that more feminine. Being that he takes HGH (to stay in good shape)! F*ck them B*tches(male and female)!!! Do you!!!
they should have not used a fat guy to be the guy on the show. they should have used a thin guy. like what siren said. using a fat guy makes it seem like only a fat guy would be interested in dating plus sized women.
I get that FOX was trying to not be so biased in the weight department but in forming a whole show just with the regular sized women makes it stick out and be so obviously not a good thing.
What they should have done was take a normal guy with no "size" preference and put a bunch of girls up there of ALL sizes and see what happens. That would be better.
The women on that show, by and large, are not regular sized. They are mostly medically overweight. Size zero isn't healthy either of course, but being 5'5 and 200lbs = unhealthy.
It completely irritates me that they got a fat Bachelor. There are normal sized guys out there, great looking guys, like my husband who prefer fuller figured women. Like only a fat guy could love those fat girls. I also don't believe for one minute that those girls are as pathetic in the love dept. as they let on. I've been heavy for a long time but have never lacked male attention. The show wouldn't be near as irritating if there were a mix of thin and average sized peeps.
@sirenstarsong umm why it's called "more to love" is there something wrong with fat guys? Like would you say "ew only a fat girl could love a guy like that" or something? So stupid lol fat girls want to be accepted by "normal sized guy" as you say but god forbid a fat guy turns them down for a normal girl.
hey i saw the show and feel the same way as you do. seems like they are putting a lot of emphasis on their weight than needed... nice video and nice eyeshadow!!
Question... what about the video makes her look bad? I'm not sure I understand why you feel the video is poorly delivered. Assuming you left the comment to be helpful, it would probably help if you specified what about the video caused you to have this opinion. Just a head's up - it makes you look bad.
I don't know what show you're talking about, but yeah I feel the same as you. I don't too much care for those types of shows. About the only thing close to reality shows I do watch are HGTV, Ghost Hunters, Food Network and AI when it's one :)
Its gonna air over here quite soon, i think from 10 Aug. But these shows result in anorexics, bulmimics, BDD sufferers and idolisation of our 'non-perfect' society. They make me sick too, because they're picking on innocent (emotionaly vulnerable) people and thats discrimination to a point. This is why I dnt watch these shows, they are really harsh. BB x
This. YES. Exactly. I can't believe I didn't respond to this yet. And yet I'm sucked in--I can't stop watching! I've gotten a few really hateful comments about this video, and every one of them was just HATEFUL. For no reason--except that fat people DISGUTST them, and they think I'm fat, etc. And if it's fucking with MY head, then how about these women who are doing it in front of the "Real World"--not just some chance encounter on Youtube. I feel so bad for them (and it's damn sure made me more
me more critical of myself, I can't imagine what it would be like to actually do that in front of the whole world. I just need to take it out of my DVR so I won't be tempted to watch.

Oh my gosh! The first episode came on the other night, and I starte thinking maybe it would be okay, but as it progressed, I found myself just getting more and more and more upset! I started asking my fiance if he thought they were fat, if I am fat, and he just said okay - shut it down!
aww, i am sad to hear that show is so biased! i can't stand those "love" shows...the concept is.....its almost impossible that they would end up finding their true love that way. bleh. but anyways, i was unaware they did the height/weight thing. i was actually kinda excited that they were doing a show where all the girls involved weren't...well, you know, lol! oh well. i wanna know why the guy can't be like a hot latin lover type! now that would be a contest worthy of airtime!
I haven't seen the show. I won't see the show. I hope others will turn their tv's off! Women have to start believing that we are all beautiful...height, weight, color, shape are all unique.
