  • the enemies are from final fantasy i think

    great work^^

  • @TombRaiderViewer25 A mix from Breath of Fire and Final Fantasy games.

  • kind of corny, but the music is cool

  • Too laggy.

  • I really love the battle theme. What game is that from, if from any?

  • @RPGHacker86

He lost the files and he doesn't know.

I believe it is Sonic CD's Metallic Madness Past.

  • Wow this is cool. I was just talking with my friend about how cool it would be to make a dungeon crawler like Wizardry. (:

  • Hmm reminds me at the first two Elder Scrolls :P

  • Do you need a patch to make mazes like that?

  • @chezjdleclubvideo No, just a lot of picture calls.

  • DUDE the maze is TRIPPY

  • hey ¿you how make a 3d dungeon with rpg maker 2k3?, you use a patch or wath? PD: Sorry for my bad english, i speak spanish LOL

  • I recognise the dungeon graphics! Shining in the Darkness from the Genesis. Such a hard-ass game, never managed to finish it, but still loved it :D

Great system you made. I have a feeling I know how you coded it but either way it must have been rather complicated ^^

  • this reminds me of Sword of Vermilion..and awesome rpg in the early 90's

  • I FUCKING HATE RANDOM ENCOUNTERS THEY'RE SO ANNOYING!!! >:(

  • Not a bad job here, btw did you know RPGMaker 2003 is not supported by Enterbrain so does that mean ASCII made it ?

  • most gayest game ever

  • The maze parts with the green walls are from a game called "Shining in the Darkness", for those who falsely believed Lethras had created them.

btw, how'd you get the wall graphics, anyway? I want em. SitD is awesome.

  • @Sephiroth7734 I already stated in one of the other videos I used graphics from Shining in the Darkness. (One of my favorite Genesis games, btw.)

As for getting them, I ripped and sized them myself from the game. If you want them, they're in the demo on my site. Just download and go into the pictures folder. I only did the first floor of the Labyrinth, though. Didn't rip anything from the trials or the upper floors.

  • looks like persona in a fantasy world!

  • wow nice job on the 3D for sure

  • Woo!!! 2 zombies and a cadaver!

  • Where'd you get the system graphics in the battles, (like the wavy blue in the battle box)

  • @itachi109233 Made that myself.

  • wizardry and final fantasy lol

  • how did you make the 3d maze?

  • 3d = 3 dimensions, he probably used pictures. This isn't 3d.

  • his god thats how

  • Whats the song to this battle music?

  • OK thats a lot of work

  • Wow! This is just the kind of game I'm dreaming of making, with randomly generated 3D dungeons <3

    How did you do it?

  • wow epicly cool fighting music!

  • Can you tell me how you get this symbols in the menue?

  • There's an EXFONT table stored in the exe. Mine's edited, but they're called via $A-Z and $a-z. (Yes, lowercase/uppercase generates different symbols on the table.)

So if you have a sword icon you want to use, and it's in the slot bound to $d, then in the menu/text screen you just use $d.

  • $d is a Tear (empty) ....

    how do you change this?

  • I just gave an example. As I said, you can use $(insert alphabet letter here) for various symbols. Lowercase and uppercase each have their own. As to actually replacing the EXFONT table in the exe itself, you will need to hack the exe itself and insert your own table into it, getting rid of the one inside of it.

  • reminds me of my windows 98 screensaver, I kinda miss that epic screensaver now.

  • The Maze looks like My old screen saver.. LMAO

  • OMG! mine 2! on my windows 98. also it looks like the temple of banya from Arcana the card master

  • This game's just all over the place, eh?

  • rpg maker 2003 is 2d how you got 3d out of it

  • He used images of parts of wall to draw the 3D looking environment. I don't know how he did his map (since if I remember, RPG Maker 2003 doesn't support arrays or any kind of stuff allowing custom tilemapper besides the built in one) but I know he uses lot of events to move around. You would need to mess around with RPG Maker 2003 event stuff and experiment

  • how did you do the 3d thing?

  • i hate mazes... it scares me... argh! but i completed phantasy star without help and i have enjoyed my training.

  • will you explain how you did this plz?

  • how the hell did he do that

  • like your use of frames behind the battle command window, thats a good idea

  • THIS GAMES IS BETTER THEN COD4

  • lmao

  • Ese es el laberinto de "shining in the dark"

    o algo asi..

    traduction

Thats laberyth is from the game "shiing in the dark"

  • As I've said before, I took the graphics from Shining in the Darkness to make the mazes.

  • Where did you get the FF7 sounds?

  • Ripped them from the game.

  • I got a question, where can I download the actual maps for theses games so I can import them into rpg maker 2003? going to google it. has to be something out there.

  • i dont like it

  • the battle theme is cool!

    what is it?

  • Unfortunately, I don't know. I had it on my HDD and don't recall its origins, nor have I heard it in anything I've ever seen/played.

  • lemme guess, it's a midi of metallic madness from sonic cd jp?

  • Lemme guess, Metallic Madness Present Japanese MIDI?

    It resembles it a bit.

  • wtf?

  • you just copied off a Sega game called "Shining in the Darkness" you cannot take credit for this! and i know this how? cuz i own the game and got the exact same layout/dodad placement and cimatic screen! your dumb. -.- the only thing that is credited are the battles that you made. Nice job on that but next time don't take credit for this.. oh btw the end is when you enter the Dark castle to save the female character with the magic rod. there is proof.

  • If you bothered to watch the first video, this would be in the info bar on the side:

    About This Video

The first maze. As you can see, I was able to rip the graphics from an old Sega Genesis game called Shining in the Darkness for the maze walls and graphics. This was an intro stage, basically. So there's nothing really special about this run.

  • dude you make the best games with the rpg makers!

  • hahaha doom
