@Sk8brdr323 No offense or anything, but why did you do the same general flipping routine multiple times and why no aerials? I can understand if you don't feel comfortable; the Szabofly is one of the trickiest balisongs to do aerials with since the weight in the handles is different. Try one and let me know how it goes.

Yea, I was pretty happy when my bm42 finally came in...I was on backorder for like a month..then it took another week to ship..It was ridiculous. It was all more exciting when it actually got here. lol. Bradly Kimura would be awesome. Or the mayhem, which is too expensive in my opinion. I've never used one before so I really can't have my opinion. :/

Im able to flip butterfly knives ok, but i like a spear or bayanet blade, is this a model that you would recommend or should i invest a little more in a 17040 Mayham Butterfly knife made by Bradley Cutlery?

i have both the mayhem and the szabofly. i prefer the szabofly for flipping. the mayhem just scares me. its the sharpest knife ive ever used and you just mutilate your fingers. i use the mayhem to show off but alwats the szabofly to try new things out.

Im thinkin about getting a Szabofly, but ive heard they have heavy handles, how does this affect the knife's flipping ability?

Actually one handle is heavier than the other making it somewhat harder to flip but not by much. Since the handles are heavy they make doing roll overs and other similar moves easier to do.

depends 1 are you a newbe is so this is harder to flipy second this is more of a collectors peice rather than a every day use knife when the benchmade model 42 can with stand hard beatings for everyday uses hoped i helped

I got one. Its not flimsy, but that sucker is hard to flip. There are some tricks that it will NEVER do. The handle shape...and the safe side (swedge) has that corner, it hurts when you reverse directions. I dont suggest it for flipping. Its a cool collectors knife though. People bug when I flip it. I cant decide if I wanna keep it.
