I think Tibet is in a much better condition than Iraq, wouldn't you agree. Tibetans are at least as capable as the Iraqis, but is the US serviceman/women that are the targets of the roadside bombs, not the Chinese. Maybe US should clean up the acts at home first.

Most of them are students and you just gave them one hell of a good reason not to stay for life. You know nothing about China and your opinion about China is stuck with the past. China is changing, but slowly due to the population size. Yet, exiles and western media often diminish the efforts of those who is truly making progress in/to China. What I found in this incidence is that most Chinese, knowing that our government is not perfect, have more objective views than outsiders like you.

During that protest that occured last week, it was the Tibetans who started the violence because most had knifes, chains and rocks prepared and the police who were trying to stop the protest only had a baton and a shield. It was only a few days later that the army was sent in to stop the protest. It's for sure the army was armed in order to stop the armed protesters, if not armed should they use bare hands or just batons to arrest them?

With all respect I have to say Tibetans started the peaceful demonstration but Chinese Millitary were there in disguise as Tibetan with knifes and as monks who set fire on shops as well as destroy shops. I know you have been watching things that were shown in CCTV which only showed Tibetans in negative; however, since you are in Canada, I assumed, you have access to all media; therefore, do more research. Lost of life either Chinese or Tibetan is great lost but we have to very careful.

I had all information from both sides but I have to say western medias are very misleading and biased. It ignored the reality of majority of Tibetans's wishes to be part of China. It only focused on few Lamas request of independece.

I should learn from the United states by setting up several small reserves for Tibetans. Most Tibetans are good and should be allowed to move freely in China but these rioters should only stay in reserves.
