  • this looks hard to watch -_-

  • @Hrko1992 it is, but it's such a hard reality for so many children in this world..............but ASIA ARGENTO IS THE BEST!!!

  • This movie was crazy...i almost forgot i saw it!!! i feel bad for the little kid and i have seen a lot of bad mothers in film...there are lists for films with them and I'm surprised this one did not make one of them i have seen!!!

  • HEY WYNONA RYDER!!

  • if i seen tht lady i would rip her head off straight off her shoulders -__-

  • Dylan and cole did a good job

  • This movie is very interesting, but book is better

  • Winona Ryder was hot in Beetlejuice, she looked like Jeanette Lee the videographer from PiL. hot punk chick. she owns Rough Trade records. weird how JT Leroy rhymes with ploy lol seems she made a truckload off of "traumatized" upper-middleclass/upper class hipsters, its funny/fascinating. hence Manson/Ryder. Argento really IS nuts & brilliant, she dated "JT Leroy"

  • fucck ! i love this moviee

  • Asia Argento is sooooooo fine! i love italian girls!

  • @AaronMonteiro

i thought it was jimmy bennet

  • @TechTechSuPPortZ my kind of movie

  • What is the name of the blond boy is beaten with a belt in his hand? appears in the 1:06 minute.

  • @macabrojavier Jimmy Bennet

  • @ilovechocolate77 no, you saying the child, i´m talking about the blond boy who´s beaten with the belt on is hand.

  • @macabrojavier John Robinson

  • @macabrojavier The blonde at 1:06 is John Robinson. He was also in "Lords of Dogtown" as Stacy Peralta, I think he's mostly known for that :)

  • People need to STFU about the Sprouse boys "selling their souls" to Disney. They developed the show with Disney themselves before this movie was even made and now they are done and going to college. And there is no way they were forced by their dad to do this movie.

  • @TechTechSuPPortZ oh my god.. u did u watch this on dvd or online?? i wanna watch.. seems like heavy stuff..

  • you all know that j.t. leroy is actually a female who impersonated a male for years to get her books published, don't you? she was the big literary hoax of the 90's so now people think that none of this was ever true.

  • @bighotrod

no, the story was not trur. but the same thing does happen in real life. to a lot of people.

  • @Rowan07001484

i meant to say that "people KNOW that none of this was ever true". it was a character invented by writer laura albert (couldn't think of her name the last time i was here), and portrayed in person by laura's sister in law (it may have been her sister, not sure).

and yeah, unfortunately there are many children living lives not so different from this little boys. the thought of which is disturbing on so many levels.

  • Jeremiah has hair. He even looks like 15.

  • Wow well ummm...that's disturbing....

  • @mezadii tell me about it

  • Looks uplifting. I'll never ever watch this movie.

  • @naomiellison Oh boy, this movie is the exact opposite of uplifting. Watch it and you'll know why. There isn' t a positive thing I can say about any situation in the movie whatsoever.

  • they sold their sold to disney ! blah!

  • @lylaben they sold their soul, as in they both combined only have one soul? are they one unit?

  • Wow! Manson is in this?

  • @LassieTPC they did this a little bit before suite life started airing.

  • Wow I never knew Dylan and cole sprouse were in this!

  • @TheKainime winona ryder for all of you her name is winona ryder she was in a hell of a lot of movies after bettlejuice....sad that's the only one anyone remembers....i personally liked her in the heathers but thats just me

  • Yes, I t is Marilyn Manson. I watched it, Its fucked up. Don't remember a lot about it though

  • Yes, I t is Marilyn Manson.

  • was that fucking marily manson?!?!

  • @JonaBay yes its marilyn manson

  • @JonaBay Yes!:D

  • @JonaBay hell yeah =D

  • anyone seen this movie? Is it any good?

  • TheKainime is here to answer all questions, TheKainime knows all.

  • Omg Dylan and cole r like amazing in this...well atleast the trailer...I haven't even seen the movie yet but if I watch it i will probably strt crying

  • 1:48, that's marilyn manson.....what the fuck??

  • @coolatina101 winona ryder

  • whoa...

i like dylan's acting but the heck i dont like the movie...:(

  • Does Tim Armstrong come out in this movie ?

  • it's not based off a true story. don't you remember that whole JT Leroy scandal? They thought it was a true story when it came out tho.

  • Whaaaaat!!!!! i watched it and i didnt even know it wuz a true story...hecka sad

  • Disturbing movie. Its funny because I watched this movie when i was 13 because the sprouse twins were in it. . .I got freaked the fuck out

  • @ifatdawn i did the same thing! i got a real scare from it.

  • I really don't think it's based off a true story.

  • 1:09 Omg. :O that's so saddd. Is he like stabbing his hand or something?

  • I wonder how did it ended in real life since it's based on a true story. I don't think it's a happy ending in real life :-(

Makes me feel sad everytime I think about it.....

  • @SURROUNDEDBYCOMMENTS It actually turned out that fortunately it's just fiction.

  • Marilyn Manson you fucking rock you sexy bastard!!

  • i actually thought this was based on the lottery rose :/ the jeremiah parts.

  • trashy movie

  • 1:49 - 1: 53 best trailer part^^

  • omg the twins.. i didn't know they had this much talent.

  • Sprouse Twins and Marylin Manson.... Mind mind is full of WAT?

  • I watched this movie and it was surprisingly good, though sad and disturbing.

  • OK, so this is in my Netflix queue. Is it worth watching?

  • Who's the actress at 0:53 and in which movie did she play? Thank you

  • @LisaDenEnda Winona Ryder!!!

  • @LisaDenEnda She's been in lots of movies, like, Mermaids (with Cher :)) :p, Beetle Juice, Edward Scissor Hands, A Scanner Darkly, Mr. Deeds, Heathers, A Girl, Interrupted, just to name a few

  • i like seies and movies... like PRINCE AND THE PAUPER...

  • this movie is so sad ):

  • why is it if i watch any video, it;s always a black empty box on the video? it sucks, i can't watch anything! :( i wanna watch this.. because of Cole and Dylan! but can't =(

  • Comment removed

  • both , they switch through out the scenes.

  • This was like the movie "Irreversible", really hard to watch but is way too powerful and sad to ignore.

  • wow...marilyn manson @ 1:48

  • this movie was really good in a sense that it invoked such strong emotions! there were a lot of times where i wanted to stop watching cuz of the cruelty, and how bad i was feeling.

  • I'm not sure if this movie is incredibly good or incredibly bad.

The actors, director, screenwriter, art director, and everyone else involved did a great job. If they were trying to make a film about a white-trash-crack-whore, I say well done. The movie accomplishes its goal.

But I'm not sure I believe the plot. I don't believe the social workers would let that woman have her son back.

  • Do you know much about social work? The system is broken. A lot of people who shouldn't get their kids back do.

I haven't seen the movie, but in the book she runs away with him not too longer after she gets him back when social work comes to check up on them. I can't say it's uncommon.

  • @LadyChippy i read the book, too before i watched the movie but i didn't like that. but maybe its cuz i didn't see what the book was really about. but i can say that even though i was disappointed in the book, i preferred it over the movie.

  • This film looks scary, espeically for a 13 year old like me. sure I watched movies like:

    -Transformers 1 and 2

    -Terminator All of them

-The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man

But I've never seen anything as cruel as this....

  • @SURROUNDEDBYCOMMENTS then don't watch it because it was the most f'd up movie i have ever scene.

  • @jojolasify

Thanks for your help but sorry, I already watched the movie before I read your comment. It wasn't that good in my opinion, I wish I never watched it.

In other words, I didn't like the film....

The only reason I watched it is because Dylan and Cole participated in it. Well, it looks like I've learned my lesson....

  • How are any of those anywhere close to being related to this, or being cruel? Thats just a random grouping of movies, and neither of them are any good. (Except T2 - Edward Furlong is the man)

  • @SURROUNDEDBYCOMMENTS do you really think the films you watched are cruel? come on!

  • she obviously doesn't love and doesn't want the kid... why does she always come back for him?

  • @FictiveImagination because shes crazy and wants someone to love her

  • Read the book. Her father beat her, and though it's never said, I believe he also raped her and that's where Jeremiah came from. I don't know if it's the same in the movie, but it seems to me she feels abandoned by her own family and only used by men. Her son is all she has.

  • Cole looks kanda cool in 1:45 and 1:50

God this is so sad and cruel.... :(

  • I cried when i watched this so sad :( it happens in real life :(

  • fuck me that looks like a years worth of eastenders

  • LMAO

  • this is a good movie

  • one of the best movies ive seen in a long time

  • I am gonna write a book about a gay kid who doesn't have the guts to come out for it and he loves boys and he doesn't know what to do and that drives him crazy. it's gonna be a sad roman about a gay kid

  • How did they get into the life of acting?

  • it's a shame it looks like they could have had some real acting potential, but instead they just took the easy way out and sold them selves to disney

  • @HurfDurfAlive

Yeah, their acting was great in this film! but I still didn't like the fim itself :(

  • @HurfDurfAlive they are kids...all of the jobs they take are their parents decisions...duh

  • @cutiefbaby well then shame on their parents for selling out their kids.

  • Hih, I just read the book, and that other book named "Sarah". So cruel, but so good book! I sure wanna watch this!

  • dylan and cole and jimmy bennett do look related it crazy!! haha XD

  • thats the kid who plays ben in friends

  • Jimmy Bennett and Dylan and Cole Sprouse must have been very uncomfortable filming this. And at Jimmy's age I would imagine he would be kind of Different......

  • This is a rated R movie, and it looks harsh. Idk if I'll watch it.

  • @xxewolvesxx

I watched it a long time ago. It's not really bad.

  • i dont understand this, what is the story about?

  • @misspoppylol it's about a lady who has a son, and she has dementia or something, and he has an awful life and trys to survive all the trauma of it.

  • what is the name of the last song??

    thanks for a answer!!

  • from suite life of zack and cody to this ?

    dang .

  • this was before that im pretty sure

  • I just realized I read this book when I was a teenager, I totally forgot about it until I saw the part where he dressed up as his mom and danced around in front of the guy then it all came rushing back.

The novel made my heart sink and this movie did the same thing.

  • is this really based on a true story?...i thought it was just a novel

  • does anyone know where i can watch this for free

  • That child is abused by his own mother isnt he

  • this movie reminds me so much of my mother, adoptive grandparents, and just my childhood in general. It should make me sad, but it doesn't. I don't feel that any more.

  • I mean Jimmy Bennet

I'm sorry I havent watch the movie I just can't

  • Wow. I am so glad that my life is not like this. There are some people in the world who think that they had it so bad as a kid until they see someone else's life.

  • OMG I feel sooooooooo sad for Jimmy ;( I dont even want to see this movie! Only the trailer makes me cry

  • Jimmy? You mean Jeremiah?

  • this movie actually looks kind of creepy..

  • Im going to watch it when im finish reading the book poor guy

  • me too. jt leroy is such an amazing writer.

  • amazing movie

  • this movie kinda makes me wanna think asia argento is atleast a little fucked up

  • I think that Dylan and Cole should drop Disney and do movies.

Not kid movies but more serious roles like this

  • The boys have stated at their website that after their current Disney series ends, they want to take a break from acting, attend college, travel, and just be normal guys for a while. They love acting but need a break since they have been doing it since they were 2.

  • They start acting at age 6 months old

  • @Peteyhotty123 or both

  • @Peteyhotty123 Agreed! I'd LOVE to see them in more movies like this -it would also prove their acting talent more, you know?

  • is this full on youtube??? anyone with the link..i wwould appreacitate it...thanks.. omgeeeeee it looks so sad....it made me cry..

  • it's crazy how Dylan and Cole Sprouse were in this film.

if only they focused on serious roles like these instead of Suite Life, maybe they can make it.

  • The Suite Life series have been a cash cow for Disney and are hugely popular. Suite Life on Deck is still in the top 10 of all cable shows, so it's not hurting the boys at all. Still, it would be nice to see them in Dramas as well as comedies.

  • @cmanalo89 they are letting disney go but dylan i the only one staying in acting cole is going to college to be an artist or something and ylan want's to keep doing roles. But i think they enjoy comedies as that is what they usally choose.

  • @cmanalo89 They make more of a living and have a lot more fans on Disney Channel than they ever would on this movie

  • i wanna see beacuse cole sprouse is in it ...

  • If you're watching this for cole sprouse then you're probably not mature enough to see it anyways.

  • same here...

  • The only reason i'm watching this movie is because of Marilyn Manson.

  • me too xD

  • I give this movie 4/4 stars...it is excellent. I was also pleasantly surprised by some cameos of people I really like (Marilyn Manson, Winona Ryder, and Ben Foster just to name a few)

  • I just read this book and it was sooo good, must see movie!

  • i love this movie so much

    5/5

    (Y)

  • I watched the movie last night, and then again today.

    It was really amazing.

I haven't read the book yet, but I'm thinking I should -- if the MOVIE is that good!!!

  • at the start it lloooked sad but it looks interesting now

  • oh hey, marilyn manson is in this movie. never noticed that. =)

  • At first it looked terrible but then one the mom picked him up and the little boy stopped preaching...it looked hella interesting!

  • I saw this movie long ago

does anyone know were i can buy it

  • omg thet seems way sad i didnt even know about it till i was watchin random vids of dylan and cole sprouse and to think its based on a true story seems horrible im gonnna go watch it

  • fantastic movie

  • i love the movie and the book so much!!!

  • omg this movie sounds gr8 i wanna c it
