  • OMG seatbelt pads!!

Until I saw this I was wasting time with all kinds off padding around my DIY straps. Thanks for sharing!! :)

  • hasta la huevas tu invento

  • Yes that is a Wingnut...

  • Very resourceful. If it suits your purpose, that's all that's important. Fly well.

  • Thank you so much for this video, it helped a lot and thank you. :D

  • 3:55 is the best part.

  • I like how he says "dollars"

  • ha esta altura eso ya es una porqueria, Gordo tarado

  • epic xD

  • This is pretty impressive but I would never trust my DSLR on something like this. I've been using the Cam Caddie Scorpion going for about $38 on Amazon and it's improved every single shot I've taken since I bought it. I recommend it to anyone seeking an independent setup.

  • this guy is awesome!! hahaha

  • Looks like a guy named Todd Genenbacher.

  • I love this guy. He's funny.

  • DaM My niGGa BoB Tha BuiLDeR zoLD ouT haha na BT GooD zhiT Man.

  • WTF? Ha ha ha ha ha. What a knob. I always thought steadicams were massively overpriced, but after watching this idiot, I'm ready to spend my £1000 on the real thing.

  • Just place the camera on your belly.

It should reduce and absorb most camera vibrations...

    Dude, you sound winded.

Any chance you build a gym for $35?

  • siromašna debela budala

    panavižn

  • You have a Steadycam but a really shitty camera? :P

  • @trainsforyou Yaba Sie!

  • @trainsforyou

At least this guy actually shares stuff he learns instead of sitting on a computer and posting condescending comments on others who share their hobby. Get a life.

  • He looks like a Ghostbuster.

  • Did i just fucking watch all of this? :|

  • Great Scot!!!!! make sure you hit 87MPH

    great vid

  • LOL.. wtf

  • very crampie marketing concept you have

  • I would be so embarrassed showing up to a production set with this steadicam system.

  • Wow...

  • dude wtf just happened

  • You look like Dan Ackroyd in Ghostbusters!

  • i give you $5.00 for that

  • make fun of him all you want but 100,000+ people watched this video...

  • @1992nebraska 12.500.000 watched the Numa Numa Guy... What's your point??

  • @MacRief my point is that at least 100,000 people thought it was worth their time to watch this man's video... so despite what anyone says about him, he has done an ok job making videos.

  • @1992nebraska Or 100.000 people thought it was a waste of time... Views aren't at all a quality stamp.

  • @MacRief that is a good point... oh well... its still a good idea with some tweaking here and there... i may try it one day...

  • @1992nebraska Mjeh. You could make a 'steady cam' just by mounting a heavy thing to your camera. I use it when I'm filming.

  • (brazil) muito bom ...

  • good

  • Um... actually, you can see in the video that the arm on the rig IS supporting a lot of the weight. Looks like it actually would work with a small camera. Of course it would take a lot of practice but that's true even if you buy the rig for $8K.

  • gostbusters! calm down!!!!!!!!!!

  • gostbusters!

  • this isnt steadicam!!! this is just extra weight

  • lol he said that the camera he puts on his ''Steadycam'' is filming atm, so this is filmed by a moblie phone and you do not need a Steadycam for mobilephones!

  • da daa ddaaa da da... Ghostbusters !! who do you want to call ??

    Ghostbusters !!

  • The thing is, all you people insult him, but he has balls for even making a video with nervousness. He wasn't forced to do it, but he did.

  • Fuck this guy is sick get arm from light and thinking is PRO lol

  • whats werid is:

ur a video maker, but its bad quality, its out of sync, and there are no jump cuts for mistakes...

  • ridiculo pareces un tarado.....

  • /watch?v=sXUeO3auRZg&feature=player_embedded#!

  • is this a joke?

  • Is that Ghostbuster III or what??

  • it wont work

  • Who ya gonna call!...... a steady cam dealer after watching this

  • I gotta give him an "addy boy" for a good try.

  • This would be me if I wasn't married. Good concept.

  • This guy is the real deal. He once made a time machine out of a Delorean.....

  • Gentlemen, I present to you the future of law enforcement-the E.D.-209.....

  • thanx REDPOCO for your vidéo about steadycam It's a great idea but where is the test of your invention

  • Hahahaha... I love that one dude who parodied this video... Hahaha.

  • Hilarious, i thought this guy was going to pass out like 5 times.

  • Thank you very much :D well done!

  • he looks like a ghost buster

  • I'd like to see an example of how good this device works. In comparison to with the device and with out.

  • u shoul have invested 20 of those 35 bucks to buy a fucked up tri-pod and the15 for some health book about diets. the contents of that book might help you to understand what you eat and how to loose weight. with the tripod u should do this: youtube.com/watch?v=T1aPbwcqquk

  • the arm was the best xD

  • ha ha you bought a broken lamp, to save money!! ha ha

  • good idea haha :)) i like it

  • Creative, but yes pretty much pointless.. Funny though x))

  • rigability....rigid.....rigidness....HAHAHAH

  • bro the arm is my only problem with your design!whats the point of the arm ?

  • FAIL!

  • Oh my God ! There's somehing dripping down the ceiling behind you. I think you better check it. Or did you whack someone to death and hid them up there in your attic. Dude when you play with that mechanical arm it looks as if you got an erection.

  • Dude, that lamp arm does nothing but make you look like an idiot. LOL! I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just being honest. Good luck with your filming!

Also, don't listen to the comments that people leave, we're all just a bunch of haters.

  • Write a script dude. I feel dumber having watched this.

  • bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ha hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!if you let go of the steady cam its gonna fall on your fat ass foot!! no thanks i know i dont need the best to make the best, but come on buddy your better off holding it in your hand

  • Hahahaha

    Best video EVER

    Love u man

  • juajuajaujaua very funny!!!!

  • Show me a demonstration, shoot sth with your toy while walking or runing and post it. i am not gonna give a shit about this. show me sth ???

  • Hahaha. Maneuverbility, Edgeability, Springability.

  • i like this idea maybe if i come a cross 30 or so bucks, ill try it!!

    good luck

  • This guy is the best. I would love to see a whole DIY show with him.

  • Who ya gonna call? "Camera Busters!"

  • Sorry but 99% of the DIY Steadicam's are totally useless lol...

  • Didn't I see you on The Running Man?

  • 0$ Steadicam from junk

    see youtube

    watch?v=B5FMTjcF2Ng

  • This Guy looks like a ghostbuster reject...hilarious !!

  • The idea is great and i think it would work perfectly with a camera like the 500D or something similar in size and weight, THX ! good work !

  • does harness and the arm make the stabilizer more... steady?? i don't really understand that part...

  • For under 35 bucks and all from spare trash you beat the big guy's at their own game - good one - keep at it and lets see some S m O O T H footage....Cheers.

  • i think pixar would be a tad cheesed of to see that you are destroying there products lol 10 outa 10 for effort tho stay tuned for my steady cam build.

  • how did you get some one to hold the camera for you wen you made this video

  • this guy needs some actual real pussy not some gay @ss toy

  • I like at 2:17 when you throw the piece that fell off; but hey for 35 bucks you can't beat it.

  • you're one stupid ass cheap muthafuka!

  • WTF!!!!!!

  • What happened to you guy?

You've gotten a fair amount of hits for this guy. You should re-shoot it in some better light and put up some footage.

  • fail

  • i feel bad for this guy, he needs to get laid or something. but if this makes him happy good for him...

  • LOL at the lamp part. Cool steadicam.

  • not bad .... the idea can be improved ... ;)

  • yes.

  • yee

  • Thank you so much, it gave me many new ideas how to build my own steadicam. Very genius. score 10 / 10

  • Thank you so much for explaining it in the details. It answered a lot of my questions. I can even get that lamps here where i live. I must say i absolutelly agree with that design that can be attached to the body because especially for long shooting your arms can get tired very qikckly when holding the basic construction with the counterweight. GREAT improvement! Once again, thanks for explaining it in every detail :)

    5 of 5

  • How much weigth can you put on that? Straps and belts seems solids but I don't really trust the arm made of a lamp and pvc pipes...

  • That's pretty cool

  • idea is good, but that arm just isn't usefull.. Try bungee cord instead of springs.. because of the amount of leverage from that arm, you would have to put pretty big springs in. Good job anyways man. Ohyeah don't forget to breath while speaking haha

  • this is ridicules, Like Grimgorus said It can never support the weight of you camera + counterweight. besides that it looks really cheap and just plain funny not professional at all. invest in some real equipment ore in some stuff to make a stronger arm, (better springs maybe). good luck improving your design.

  • haaahh.. dude.. this vid made me laugh

  • @robblac lol he looks like Wall-E.....

  • very nice

  • the arm has no effect, and that is not like the professional steadicams

  • well, it makes it look cooler :|

  • It looks like a steadicam, but it can't work. Your arm isn't supporting the weight of the camera and rod. Instead, your arms are supporting them, so the arm does not isolate the motion of the user from the camera, which is the whole point of it. The vest is not doing anything, either. Your arms are supporting the weight of the camera, so it does not distribute weight around your body. Until you build a beefier arm with a proper gimbal, you're better off using just the camera-rod unit on its own.

  • Sorry if that's not clear. My post was way too long, so I had to cut out words.

  • @Grimgorus its not mean to be a real video its a spoof of a video called how to make a homemade vaina for $10

  • @Grimgorus- so very true, i agree

  • @Grimgorus 2:32 to 2:35 if he can swing that 10 pound weight around so easily it means the rig is doing it's job.

Btw, learn to reread what you type. You say "Your arm isn't supporting the weight.." "Instead, your arms are supporting them". Rig, Contraption, lamp thingy, they're all less confusing then using the same pronoun to differentiate to different things.

This isnt an end all and equal match to a professional set up. If it makes the 10 to 15 pounds easier to move it's worth building.

  • @Grimgorus just need heavier springs

  • @Grimgorus "but it can't work" even though he says it works.

Hmm? What do you think? Is he lying? Did he go through all this trouble just to lie? Or do you think maybe his camera is relatively lightweight and so this apparatus is perfectly adequate? Is that possible?

I wish he had posted the specs of his camera, and another film shot with it in use.

  • he's dressed like he's going to film a movie?

  • cazzone!!!

  • leave the lamp shade on for a video light. now were thinking.

8k and no lights on a steadycam

  • rigitity, lol

  • you are full fool !

  • Thanks for making this video! It will be helpful!

  • i think u should at least attach the camera to the mount to show how steady it really is because i see it moving a lot during the video and i'm thinking of making it but i would like to see how it operates with the camera

  • again...........he only has one camera.

  • he could just have the camera on the steadicam and just record walking around and just to show that it is the same system just face a mirror and show the viewers thats all im asking if you could do that it will be very helpfull.

  • and it looks good too !

  • good

  • Ideas to the fore!

    utube how it should be.

by the way: the best fully-stabilized low-speed floor buffer ever seen...

  • Hey mate! This is great, you gave me so many ideas, thank you! If you still got that steady cam, can you please make a test video? I'm really interested to see how it looks in action! Thanks again!

  • Lol getting tired?

  • A este también lo podría llamar Buenafuente a su programa como el de "la estedicán"

  • 0,001/10

  • looks like Shrek

  • haha!!

  • Go buy a Cam Caddie, you dont need that contraption with a 3 lb camera. Real Steadicam's support the weight of the camera.

  • he sounds out of breath!

  • Thanks for this, Makes a lot of sense and the light arm was a great bit of lateral thinking. The lecross protector is a naffy idea. Again, thanks

  • OK,

With all the time and money you've spent on this contraption of yours, there is one thing you didn't show us.....your video cam. I hope it aint no $200 camcorder cause it aint worth carrying all that heavy weight.

  • Yo!

Is that shit oozing down the wall behind you or did someone got butcher'd up in your attic?

  • You sound really flustered or nervous. But thank you very much for the vid! Lots of help. I want to build my own. :)

  • paint ur wall guy....looks like someone shit in the attic and it ran thru..

  • Was there much point submitting that?

Does it make you feel really good? Does it make you feel like touching your self?

  • The previous comment was intended for Kaisudo

  • well i guess some people do like to have shit on their walls

  • COOL! Im doing this as i speak! Can you please send me pictures? I am having a hard time! Thank you! alex

  • really brilliant, i can see the functionality in just how you moved it round, going to check out your "in use video' , great job

  • Yo, you should have filmed it in front of a mirror so we could see the stabilization quality!! Anyway, i have to congrat you because you're the only one i've found that has ever tried to make a full vest steadycam unit. Maybe i'll try your design, of course with some modifications

  • Poor guy, have no conscience of Himself...

  • and you worry too much about what other people think of you. i bet you're really cool aren't you

  • your a genius

  • He aint afraid of no ghost....

  • Notice when he removed the 'sled', the arm is shaking as much as his body is. The arm from a lamp he is using introduces more shakiness than if you just use a tripod with weights on the bottom.

  • are you nervous?

    nice construction :)

  • You should add 2 arms together, maybe that would support the weight

  • If the steadicam arm can't suspend the camera+sled when you remove your hands , the arm is not really useful. I think the final quality of the videos with this set up would look about the same without the vest/arm. imho.

  • thanks alot!!!

  • Very nice.

    Thanks!

  • Very nice idea, and i will like to try it out, cheap an easy.

Also,if your camcorder is a bit heavier than his,you can tighten the springs to it fits your camera weight.

And all you idiots who comment negativ,i will like to se what you have made lately.

    Kepp on steadying.

  • show us a test run big boy

  • lmao

  • Heyo, capernakis, get in back of the line and stand their with ur shirt.

  • lol this shit looks halarious!

  • to read the comment correctly, read second comment before first....

  • that arm works, post a video of you letting go of that monopod and i can bet money that it will drop while drop when a useful steadycam arm would hold the camera u
