Why do people think the environment is getting worse? Try living in the 60s and 70s seeing smoke billowing out of cars, buses and planes. The environment is 100x better from back then. @fani5000 I think you were referring to the aspect in human nature of charity. Charity doesn't seem to fit with what I previously said but it actually contributes just as much as greed does. Greed exists because in most of nature you get the bigger piece of cake you go on to reproduce more. We live in a society of excess so in our social dynamic charity is viewed with high regard and it gives you social influence over a "bigger slice" of the cake and that way you can spread your genetics.
