Is iphone 3gs so bad like everybody is saying ? I wanted one but now i'm kinda confused ... My father has one HTC Desire Z and I really like the phone but I don't know ... I just think is not one phone for me. What you guys think ?

@bullemat I have recently used the HTC touch pro 2, and idk if you have already made your mind up since your post was 2 months ago, but i have also had the first touch pro. I like them, but i will never go back to windows mobile. Android is so much better.

well first of all iphone 3GS is the best phone there currently is, here are the reasons.. HTC hero/tylt/droids etc. are simply poor and laggy prototypes of iphone because apps from iphone are being simply converted on your OS, adding "cool" 3D interface and multitasking makes your shits very unstable, therefore, iphone wins here.. on the other hand if u start bragging about HD2, well, yes its more powerful, but its not better, none of them are, yet.

I hate how they work and they are not very smooth; so it takes for ever to find what you want...oh and they are all soo slow. it has its own music player which handles a lot of formats, but there are other apps that you can download but i recommend you read aloy of reviews first

Problem is is that the flash on both phones is still slow as shit. It's not fully ready yet. Trust me, when it is properly done, iPhone will do it better than any other phone.
I have no idea why your comment is so optimistic about apple supporting flash. As for performance hero have a better hardware (in mobile devices RAM is very important).
Anyway in 2010 will see :), adobe promised to port flash 10 ( not flash lite) to all platforms, including mobile.
Maybe I was being a bit biased to Apple, but I truly believe what I said will happen. I'm not an Apple fanboy or anything, it's just I believe that will happen over time. However, the HTC Hero does look very interesting but I will be interested to see what happens to it in the future, whether it actually will be "the iPhone killer".
Why would the iPhone do it better? If Flash 10 works well on other devices that have the same specs as iPhone with no frame skipping or slow down then how could the iPhone do it better?
basically, every phone that uses flash at the moment does not do it well, with the hero running at about 1-2 fps when using flash. Flash is not ready for phones. Apple have done the best job with 3G, WiFi and apps, so I believe that Apple will do a better job on flash than other smartphones because Apple has a great reputation for making things work the best.

what a stupid comparison do you have full 3g signal stragnth on all phones, and do you know touch pro 2 has 72mbps down link, it uses hdma, alaws for a 3g+ or 3g turbo type of connection.

If you use Skyfire, you will feel no difference between an Edge and 3G. It's condensed data, streamed as video that you can interface with. Of course you can never know that if you use Nokia or iPhone. :)

i think the best web-browser is opera mini. iphone has kinetic scrolling unlike opera mini. but opera mini is just soo damn fast. its not the prettiest browser but it sure makes up for speed and function.

...these phones, the iPhone and the Palm Pre will feel and operate like each other because the technology is basically the same. The iPhone was the first in line to use this technology because they paid for exclusive rights for a while but they did not invent the technology, which is why the HTC Hero and the Palm Pre have "iPhone" qualities about their operation. We look at all the glitz and hi-tech glamour from the front but round the back many deals were made.

The present belongs to Symbian S60 and that's a fact, the iPhone is popular but its a footnote in sales terms compared to S60. The future belongs to Google Android phones, look at the facts; HTC already have 3 phones out, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and even Nokia have units planned for release....

I am given to believe that Apple has not implemented Flash on the iPhone not primarily because they are working on a better solution but rather because it would violate their absolute control over the phone's ecosystem. Flash is not just a system for streaming video, but a fully fledged application ecosystem. Bring on Flash and you end the stranglehold the app store has...you could buy games, etc, through the Flash environment.

and also by the way, my nokia 5800 works great wit flash but it is flash lite (only flash compatible wit mobile devices at this time) so it works as best as a phone wit flash whould n I don't see how apple is possibly gonna top that usin the same flash lite system

Problem is is that the flash on both phones is still slow as shit. It's not fully ready yet. Trust me, when it is properly done, iPhone will do it better than any other phone.

I have no idea why your comment is so optimistic about apple supporting flash. As for performance hero have a better hardware (in mobile devices RAM is very important).
Anyway in 2010 will see :), adobe promised to port flash 10 ( not flash lite) to all platforms, including mobile.

Maybe I was being a bit biased to Apple, but I truly believe what I said will happen. I'm not an Apple fanboy or anything, it's just I believe that will happen over time. However, the HTC Hero does look very interesting but I will be interested to see what happens to it in the future, whether it actually will be "the iPhone killer".

Why would the iPhone do it better? If Flash 10 works well on other devices that have the same specs as iPhone with no frame skipping or slow down then how could the iPhone do it better?

I'll try and rephrase that,
basically, every phone that uses flash at the moment does not do it well, with the hero running at about 1-2 fps when using flash. Flash is not ready for phones. Apple have done the best job with 3G, WiFi and apps, so I believe that Apple will do a better job on flash than other smartphones because Apple has a great reputation for making things work the best.
