It's tragic that these videos are trying to stop gay people from feeling abused but using the word "dumb" as if to say they don't care about people with a handicap.

few days ago i was in math class and these guys got in an arguement and in the end of it, one of them said "whatever homo" and that ticked me off so i said "whats wrong with being gay?" he said "shut up!" i said "make me" he said "i dont make trash" i said "if ur mom did then why cant you?" and all the guys in the class started saying OHHHHHHH and laughing at him and btw when i asked what was wrong with being gay i heard several guys over there say "nothing is" and that made me happy!!

You can't take a word with multiple meanings, and narrow it down to only one for the sake of political correctness. If people want to deviate a word to mean something else than the original meaning, then let them. It only reflects negatively if you let it. I can guarantee half the words in the dictionary have meanings later added due to heavy usage, and this is no different. The only difference is people didn't complain as much about it when a meaning was added or altered. You can't own a word.

I think it's about trying to reduce the generation of negative feelings towards people who have taken on a certain name/label - who knows why it the label gay was taken to begin with??
