A few months later I bought a PC. It got twelve viruses in one day. I hadn't even downloaded anything. My MBP, however, is over three years old and has yet to get a single virus/crash/slowdown/get spyware/get malware. UNIX and linux FTW!! Even if it's running on a PC. YOu must remember that Macs and PCs have the exact same hardware. It's the OS that really counts.

Mac OS MUCH, MUCH faster and secure, as it is UNIX, with is written in something similar to assembly language. Mac OS Lion is only $69. You can install it on as many computers as you wish. Even on PCs if you know how. While windows 7 Ultimate is $130 and can only be installed on a few computers.

Do your research. Mac intel chipsets are faster too.

@XSFlanger AND Mac's have the highest build quality available. For $1200 you can get an aluminum laptop that will last years. With the best cutover service too. Both software wise and hardware wise. Or for $1200 you could get a Dell. It's cheaply made out of plastic, heavy and will soon be outdated both software wise and hardware wise. You choose.

Also, Mac's might well have decent build quality, but the quality of their components is questionable. I know quite a few Mac owners whose HDD clapped up within a year, among other components. Yet they kept going back.

Never again am I getting a PC without knowing exactly what I put into it. No option of that with Macs.
