It happened before he was married. Haldeman was living with Stepanie Birkitt, apparently an ex-girlfriend of Dave's.Halderman apparently was nosing through her personal stuff, diary, and learned of the relationship. So he thought he'd cash in on his dirt.

Per CBS "Dave has not violated their harassment policy".

Also per CBS "Dave has never had a complaint against him".
