  • Good on him. It's a shame the kid's parents didn't give the little shit some of this punishment!

  • The chav had it coming. what did he really expect?

  • kid got what was coming to him

  • BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!

  • Would others be found innocent if they committed a similar crime? This man should've be setting a good example to those kids- all he has done is to show them that violence is acceptable if you feel emotionally threatened! So what if the kids exploited his weakness; all kids will mess about if they have a parent or teacher who is weak. If a parent did the same as this teacher to their own child would they have been let off?

  • basicly teachers are there to teach. pupils are there to learn..is it so hard?? if pupils piss off and dig and dig its gotta break sometime..like i said before..hes a great man and teacher, had time for anyone..using mobile phones to record them taking the piss out f him to get him shouting at them and stuff.. what the fuck is that about.. he was an inspiration to me and many others..but kids nowadays are getting worse..think they can get away with everything.

  • no respect for teachers, parents or anyone.. it really got to me when i was a there a good 4-5 years ago and people in my class would talk to teachers like crap.. whats the point.. theyre there for you and your future.. and the same as what one of mr harveys favourite sayings was ' what you abuse you lose'..the litte nob abused him and mr harvey lost it..but ive always wanted teachers to be able to do something about kids in class..

  • if theyre not behaving..saying stop it, quite please and the rest of it gets very boring and tiring. just cain the little runts and show them a proper lesson if theyre not going to listen to the lesson they should be in... if you respect others you get respect back. treat them like shit and as this lad found out..you get shit back.. if only you wernet such a twat..if only you wernet such a loud mouth.. if only you wernet 14 trying to act big and hard picking on a teacher..

  • My opinion is that one of the main reasons that too many pupils dont achieve in the basics of literacy and numeracy is that they are allowed to disrupt classes and do not learn and prevent others from doing so. This only perpetuates a vicious cycle, with those from poor backgrounds remain in the underclass. Without discipline there cannot be any learning and so much money is being wasted. No wonder there is less social mobility today.

  • fantastic news! the kid was a little horror, constantly causing problems. being a teacher is one f the most stressful jobs there is. teachers hands are tied by nanby pamby rules that stop corporal punishment. this kid would have been caned years ago and the problem would have been solved. parents are to blame too, they turn a blind eye to what their kids get up to and no doubt this brats parents will say he's a little angel! the kid got what he deserved

  • I would like to ask why a vulnerable teacher was placed in this situation without appropriate back up and monitoring at school. It highlights the situation in which many teachers in UK classrooms have to deal with. It was perhaps an accident waiting to happen and the sooner authorities and politicians put in place systems to deal with classroom disruption, the better

  • @cooperphil156 What suprises me Phil is that it doesn't happen more often. I remember being a pupil attending a school on a tough working class estate in Chester in the 1970s. Even then the teachers had to put up with all sorts of shit. For myself I was both lazy and immature and failed miserably but I wonder if I'd have had a more disciplined regime would I have passed my A levels and got my degree earlier. Both of which didn't happen until my late twenties.

  • if kids(and the one who got pwned) wernet such shits then things like this wouldnt happen. he always had time for pupils wether it was work related or just general chat. i cant say a bad word about him. keep your chin up pete. you were a great teacher to me and many other and may your teach forever

  • Peter harvey

    RAAAAGGGGGGGGE1

  • The teacher could have sorted this out another way. hes proberly lost his job now anyway so he wont be able to work with children ever again, so i doubt he would be able to loose his nut again.

he could have ignored the boys, and gave them detentions, well at least the boy has learnt his lesson and if you push people too far they can explode with anger.

  • @endlesslesboz My sister is a teacher and she gets stressed because the kids these days are rude, arrogant little pricks. Ignoring them and detentions don't work! It's time the cane was brought back so a bit of discipline can be enforced. Mind you, Mr Harvey set a good example by bashing that little prick's skull with a dumbell.

  • well i'm on harveys side, that scumbag of a kid verbally abused him every lesson until he lost his temper, i'm glad his skull is fractured

  • @abankstale There are only 7 different people commenting on here, including me. One in 7 is quite a large dissenting opinion.

  • @abankstale People have just taken one look at this seen teacher vs kid and sided based on that. Also not that its any of your business but I was a good kid at school never got a single detention even tucked my shirt in and did up my top button. Hardly someone who never wanted to learn lol. Look sure the class was messing around but this is too far and to say it should never have come to court is too much. You cant crack someones head open and be sent on your way with a youre fired.

  • @abankstale Do I think the teacher should go to prison, no, do I wish him the best in his recovery yes. Do I think this case should have gone to court hell yes. This is the point of courts, someone commits a crime and then the judge decides what happens. Look at people on here saying the kid deserved it and should be permanently disabled noone would be saying this if he'd done it to someone in the street, the hang em flog em brigade wouldnt care less he was under stress.

  • Good on the jury for aqcuiting Mr Harvey! That little shit deserved to have his skull fractured - I hope he's permanently disabled!

  • the poor man

  • The judge even went as far to say as this shouldn't have come to court WTF if you do this to someone you can't just be sent on your way. This reminds me of cases in the American south where the white guy always got off because of a racist jury, everyone has just taken one look at the case seen teacher vs pupil and gone blindly with the teacher cause of course all kids are "feral yobs these days", ageists.

  • If you do this to a burglar you would go to prison so why should you get away with doing it to a school kid? Look obviously this bloke was under stress but we're all acting like the kids new how bad a state he was in, they didn't. Its managements fault for putting him back in a class.

I view myself as decent and fair minded which is why I oppose cracking people's heads open. The only reason the boy isn't dead is because a second boy went to stop him and the teacher threw the dumbbell at him.

  • Im sure most decent and fairminded people are chuffed Mr Harvey was found not guilty. Fair play to anyone who stands up to teenage yob scum. More schools should use 'dumbell rash' as a form of punnishment. !!!

  • I'm so glad he's been found not guilty! he is a wonderful man and a fantastic teacher! :)
